BYOK (BringYourOwnKey) in Generative AI is a Double-edged Sword

I didn’t realize, but BYOK is the problem I have been facing when [using PrivateGPT for book summarization](https://hackernoon.com/privategpt-for-book-summarization-testing-and-ranking-configuration-variables). There is a big difference between having the freedom to choose and having the knowledge to make the best choice for your needs.

This is a big problem for people trying to compare open-source LLM to eachother, where there are no standards for implementation, users often assume that ideal settings for one LLM will work for another, but don’t realize that other LLM is its whole own world that needs to be discovered in its own right before comparing to another.
