This Day In The Tech History Which Makes June So Special?

<span>We</span> are easily the most comfortable generation ever with all the leverage technology has been offering to us to live the life we are blessed to experience, but there has been many past contributions &amp; breakthrough innovations which has unfolded in the past which has led us to this position. Now we can get any information anywhere, anytime on our mobile phone, this has made our life so easy. Internet revolution, mobility revolution, computer invention all have been possible beacuse of some series of past events &amp; thus, I decided to start the series of articles to explore, curate and present some of such path-breaking incidents which has happened in the past and which has kind of changed the life of the HumanKind.

Now we can get any information anywhere, anytime on our mobile phone, this has made our life so easy. Internet revolution, mobility revolution, computer invention all have been possible beacuse of some series of past events & thus, I decided to start the series of articles to explore, curate and present some of such path-breaking incidents which has happened in the past and which has kind of changed the life of the HumanKind.

1. Allen Turing Was Born

On Jun 23, 1912: Alan Turing, one of the greatest mathematicians, computer scientist & philosopher was born. He is also considered to be the Father of Modern Computing.

He Invented “Turing Test” which is a way to measure computer’s ability to simulate intelligent human conversation.

2. Dr. Vinton G. Cerf : Father Of The Internet Was Born On 23 Jun 1943

American computer scientist who has been called one of the fathers of the internet. He co-designed the architecture of the internet’s operation with TCP/IP protocols. Cerf also pioneered in establishing the first commercial e-mail service, while vice president of MCI Digital Information Services (1982–1986). He joined Google as a vice-president in 2005

3. Konrad Zuse Was Born:

Konrad Zuse was born in Germany on **22nd June 1910.**He was one of the pioneer of computer revolution, his most significant work was Plankalkul : a plan calculus the , the first algorithmic programming language which he started working in 1940. Seven years earlier, Zuse developed and built the world’s first binary digital computing device, the Z1. He completed the first fully functional program-controlled (by a punched paper tape) electromechanical digital computer, the Z3, in 1941.

4. June 21, 1981 IBM Retires Last “STRETCH” Supercomputer

IBM retired its last “STRETCH” mainframe, part of the 7000 series that represented the company’s first transistorized computers. At the top of the line of computers — all of which emerged significantly faster and more dependable than vacuum tube machines — sat the 7030, or STRETCH.
