Too Long; Didn't Read

The Pursuit of Simplicity Only Serves to Manufacture Our Consent, Not Our Understanding. We glorify simplicity as a society, we demand it from our governments, colleagues, friends and even family. The harder one searches with the wrong perspective, the harder it becomes to find a simple explanation. The work of simplification is an exercise in making information accessible, and it only serves the interests of the person delivering it. This is how people weaponise simplicity in order to weaponise our ability to consent.
