Jeremy Evans is the lead developer of the Sequel database library, the Roda web toolkit, and the Rodauth authentication framework. He is the maintainer of Ruby ports for the OpenBSD operating system. He has contributed to CRuby and JRuby, as well as many popular Ruby libraries. He was nominated for RubyPrize in 2020 for his work on keyword arguments separation in Ruby 3. He says he is overjoyed to become a Ruby committer and receive the Ruby prize.
