There are four basic types of breakpoints: line breakpoints, method breakpoints and conditional breakpoints. The exception breakpoint is a remarkably useful feature that everyone knows about, but everyone shuns and hates it. Code that stops on an exception thrown and caught inside the JVM is redundant. The next blog post in this series will cover how to use these breakpoints to solve threading issues in the next episode of ‘140 Second Ducklings’ The next post in the series will also cover object marking.
