Coherence is a product of sensemaking, which is a cognitive process allowing us to identify causality and verbalize a coherent thought. Coherence doesn’t necessarily have to impel immediate action, but it should decrease uncertainty about any aspect of the world by enabling us to connect-the-dots and have an answer to why? An organized group of people can be more than the sum of its parts and can achieve more than a single human. But if coherence, belief or knowledge is not shared or understood by other humans, does it even exist?
