Too Long; Didn't Read

Root cause analysis (RCA) allows businesses to identify the primary cause behind a data breach to prevent it from happening again. There are several methods for RCA, including mapping, the "5 Whys," and Fishbone. To conduct an RCA, follow six steps: 1) Define the event; 2) Identify potential causes; 3) Find the root cause; 4) Find a solution; 5) Implement the solution; and 6) Monitor the solution's effectiveness.
