Triton: Simplifying Neural Network Programming Triton: Simplifying Neural Network Programming In July 2021, OpenAI released Triton 1.0, an open-source Python-like programming language specifically designed for GPU programming in neural networks. The project actually began earlier, with its foundations described in a 2019 publication titled “Triton: An Intermediate Language and Compiler for Tiled Neural Network Computations” presented at the International Workshop on Machine Learning and Programming Languages.
