On technology development

WWDC happened on Tuesday the 12th.

I watched the entire thing, start to finish. I was in awe about all the new products released.

Everything got faster, everything got lighter, everything got better.

But nothing changed. Nothing was invented. Everything presented was only a better version of things that came before it.

These days, nothing exiting happens with technology, nothing innovative. Companies are able to sell something just up to par with technology, and somehow call it “innovative”.

I see technology coming to its limits in the near future. When that point is reached, technology companies need to start innovating uses of technology instead of hardware — which is almost exclusively being developed — and most definitely exclusively being showcased.
