The market for AI is forecast to grow from $9.5bn in 2018 to $118.6bn by 2025. Up to 87% of machine learning projects never go live. Machine learning models are only as good as the data that they are trained on. The level of quality required of predictions varies with use-case. There are data points that might correlate highly with certain outcomes but which we shouldn't use for ethical reasons. For example, we wouldn’t find it acceptable to use race in automated recommendations for parole.
