So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.

I'm Misha Kharytonchyk, a Lead iOS developer with hardworking and enjoyable years of experience in the field. Besides my career, I am interested in exploring the intersection of technology and philosophy.

I'm particularly fascinated with artificial intelligence and robotics, and how they impact the human experience.

Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?

My latest HackerNoon top story was about embracing the power of custom SwiftLint rules. In the article, I delve into the process of creating custom rules for SwiftLint. The aim was to make the process more straightforward and efficient.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

My writing tends to revolve around the intersection of software development and best practices. I focus mainly on iOS development but also enjoy exploring other topics like code quality and software architecture.

Essentially, anything that helps developers write better code and create superior products piques my interest.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)

Writing is a discipline for me. I usually set aside a few hours every weekend to write. I start with an idea, then do some research to solidify my understanding and identify the key points I want to communicate. Next, I create an outline and flesh out each section, revising and refining as I go.

I find this structured approach helps me maintain focus and ensures my articles are comprehensive and well-structured.

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

One of the biggest challenges for me is finding the time to write. As a senior developer, my primary responsibilities involve coding, design, and team collaboration. So, it can be difficult to carve out enough time to write high-quality articles.

But I believe in sharing knowledge and helping others in the community, so I make it a priority.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

The next step in my career is quite ambitious - I aim to evolve to become a proficient technical entrepreneur. I believe that to lead effectively in the tech world, it's crucial to have a diverse range of skills and a deep understanding of the industry's intricacies.

So, I'm focusing on broadening my knowledge base and strengthening my leadership abilities.

I aspire to be capable of constructing a project that can scale infinitely and adapt to ever-changing demands. Moreover, the entrepreneurial spirit in me is quite strong. I'm excited by the prospect of starting a new company and making a unique impact on the tech landscape.

Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

Well, I have a bit of an addiction to podcasts. I particularly enjoy tuning into the Lex Fridman Podcast.

His insightful conversations with guests from various fields, from AI to philosophy, provide plenty of food for thought and often accompany me during my breaks or on my daily commute.

Not really :) I’m a full tech guy.

What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next?

You can expect a wide array of articles from me - from in-depth analyses of new iOS updates to tutorials on advanced techniques. I aim to demystify complex concepts and technologies, making them accessible and comprehensible to everyone.

I'm particularly excited about exploring Swift UI and Core ML in my upcoming posts. I believe these areas, along with augmented reality, will shape the future of iOS development, so stay tuned for a deep dive into these topics.

What’s your opinion on HackerNoon as a platform for writers?

Honestly, it's a rad place for tech enthusiasts, giving writers like me a platform to let loose and share our ideas. And I'm stoked to be a part of it.

Thanks for taking time to join our “Meet the writer” series. It was a pleasure. Do you have any closing words?

I'll leave you with this: let us never forget that technology, in its essence, is a tool to improve the human condition. As we write code, let's remember to encode empathy, respect, and a commitment to making our world better.

Stay curious, keep learning, and let's continue to push the boundaries of what's possible together.
