We talk about it as if it is something absolute — it’s either intuitive or not. Google Maps is intuitive, the Linux shell is not intuitive. In fact it is constantly changing. The amazing thing is that we as designers, not on our own but together, get to decide what will become intuitive. It is this facet of the relation between design and human behaviour that makes UX an exciting place to be.
