TLDR On July 20, 2019, we complete fifty years since humans officially landed on the moon for the first time in 1969. The Apollo 11 mission was a major challenge for NASA to build a computer small enough to fit onboard a spacecraft. NASA hired people from different organizations such as Boeing, North American Aviation, McDonnell Douglass, Grumman Corporation, MIT to work on a nationwide project called The Apollo Program.
