What does GoalGate do? And why is now the time for it to exist?
GoalGate is a digital ticketing and match management platform designed to simplify how football clubs sell and manage match tickets. It offers fans a seamless way to purchase tickets online while providing clubs with real-time analytics and streamlined operations. Now’s a good time for GoalGate to exist because local football leagues, especially in regions like Nigeria, are ripe for digital transformation to prevent revenue leakage and significantly improve the fan experience.
What is your traction to date? How many people does GoalGate reach?
We're currently pre-launch, but we're targeting over 10,000 football fans and match-goers in our pilot region within the first 3 months through strategic club partnerships and online campaigns.
Who does your GoalGate serve? What’s exciting about your users and customers?
GoalGate is built for football clubs and fans. Clubs benefit from streamlined ticket sales, analytics, and attendance management. Fans enjoy easy, secure access to match tickets online. Early talks are in progress with NPFL teams like 3SC (Shooting Stars)
What technologies were used in the making of GoalGate? And why did you choose ones most essential to your techstack?
To build a robust and secure platform, GoalGate utilizes the Django REST Framework for its backend and React for a highly responsive user interface. The team relies on PostgreSQL via Supabase for scalable database management, hosts the infrastructure on AWS EC2, and integrates Paystack to handle localized, seamless payment processing.
What is traction to date for GoalGate? Around the web, who’s been noticing?
GoalGate is currently building its professional network and sharing updates via its LinkedIn company page. As a pre-launch platform, they are actively laying the groundwork for digital outreach and establishing an online presence to connect with prospective club partners and fans.
