As planned and promised, we have launched the pre-sale today! Everyone can buy in-game items early at reduced price, and be buffed up by the time the game is out.
Let’s start from the beginning…
In ETH.TOWN you are a real estate investor working with the Crypto Tower. Buy low, sell high, get bonuses and grow your share in the whole crypto enterprise. Out-wit! Out-play! Out-strategise!
As you might already know, three big components in the game are the Investor Tokens, Crypto Tower Floors, and Heroes.
The Crypto Tower is a 100% crypto-affiliated tower consisting of crypto offices and apartments. Some are good old businesses, some are totally crazy stuff. Every floor comes with its own rules, profit structure, bonuses etc., often with funky twists added in for fun.
Real estate trading is serious business and requires a lot of work, you won’t turn a large profit without skilled assistants. That’s where our (or your, to be exact) Heroes come to help. Each of them has skills, and these skills define what they are good at. They provide all kinds of bonuses in various cases, including increased profit on closing deals (investor power).
So today we’ve launched the presale. We are very impressed by the enthusiasm of our community. There were some small bumps at the very start, but overall the sale started pretty well. As of now, we have sold 345 Level-9 heroes. Here are some of the lucky ones who found an employer today.
We also received a lot (really a lot, didn’t expect the option to be that popular) requests for custom characters, and that’s amazing! Since our artists will be drawing each of them individually, it will naturally take time, but the first one is ready!
Another bonus we are giving away is the Dice gene. If you buy 3 or more characters, you enter a draw to receive the Dice gene for one of your characters. The gene is very rare: only 3 characters will receive the gene, and the 4th carrier of the gene will be Satoshi Nakamoto. The owners of characters having the gene will be receiving a portion of income from the dice mini-game.
There are also 2 Super Heroes (Level-15, highest possible stats) on auction right now: Magic Chuck, and Kim Dotcrypto. So far the highest bid in the auction for Chuck is 1.6 ETH, and Kim is worth 2.1 ETH.
In fact, anyone will be able to create a super hero (or a star hero) by themselves. However, that would require 64 Level-9 heroes and some time. We’ll see how the auctions go, and will maybe have a flash auction somewhere next week, which will last just an hour or two.
We’ve also got a DAO Hacker’s floor crowdsale. We’ve set strict limits (no more than 1 ETH from one person) on it, but nevertheless to our surprise we’ve sold 25% of it just within the first hour. It definitely won’t be long until it’s sold out completely. We will decrease the per-participant limit even more, to 0.5 ETH per person, since we want more participants.
Every purchase during the pre-sale awards the buyer with ETH.TOWN Investor Tokens (200 tokens per each ETH spent). This is a great possibility to get the tokens, since they will never be sold by the game directly, and awarded in much smaller quantities. Tokens allow their holders to get revenue from all deals closed in the game, and also will be the only way of payment for certain in-game items.
While the pre-sale is running, the team keeps working on the game itself, to have it ready for limited access release as soon as possible. The project’s goal stays the same: to make 100K ETH turnover on the first week after public launch and break all gaming records!
There are some frequently asked questions already, so we’d like to answer them right here:
Q: I paid for 3 heroes but only got 2
A: First of all, the smart contract is designed to return the excess if you send more, so it actually only took Ether for 2 and refunded the rest. The price for characters increases with every character purchased, so if there are many pending transactions, the price might have increased so much that your payment wasn’t enough for the 3 characters by the time your transaction was mined. Our system automatically offers to send a bit more to account for that, but in the very beginning there was a huge amount of transactions, and that little extra wasn’t enough.
Q: So I bought 2 instead of 3 (or 4 instead of 5). Will I get the chance for the Dice gene (or the custom character)?
A: Just buy the remaining amount of characters, and you will. We will be checking the total number of owned characters, not characters per transaction.
Q: How do I check if I get the Dice gene?
A: The Dice gene is very rare, only 3 characters will get it. But since it’s rare, it’s precious. The gene will be added after the presale ends, and you will be able to see it if you got one. The whole page will look different after the presale ends. And of course you will be able to see all the genes in the game when it’s live, as well.
