Disagreements are not only useful, they are essential to the long term of success of any organisation. Disagreement is useful to seek diverse viewpoints, evaluate solutions from different points of view. But, when it ends with the ‘agree to disagree’ mindset, it sabotages the purpose of a group to come together and challenge each other while remaining committed to supporting each other. When disagreements reach a point of no consensus, the leader of the group takes a final call on the direction to take.
