Cette curiosité m'a conduit à la liste complète des lauréats du prix Nobel sur Britannica , que j'ai transformée en un nuage de tags interactif (ou nuage de mots ) à l'aide de JavaScript, offrant un moyen élégant d'explorer et de découvrir les pays comptant le plus grand nombre de lauréats du prix Nobel à travers l'histoire. .

A. Création d'un nuage de tags JS de base
Au début, j'ai codé un nuage de tags JavaScript de base. Si vous avez de l'expérience dans la création de graphiques JS, vous comprenez déjà son fonctionnement. Mais si c'est votre première fois, commençons par les bases. Le processus pourrait être divisé en quatre étapes fondamentales :
- Création d'un conteneur Web
- Y compris les fichiers JavaScript
- Ajout de données
- Écrire du code de cartographie JS
1. Création d'un conteneur Web
J'ai construit une page Web de base en HTML. Là, j'ai ajouté un élément <div> et lui ai donné un identifiant unique — c'est l'endroit où le nuage de tags doit être dessiné. Je voulais que le graphique remplisse toute la page, j'ai donc ajouté le code CSS approprié en utilisant la balise <style> ; bien sûr, vous pouvez définir cela à votre guise.

Inclure des fichiers JavaScript
Une fois que j'ai terminé une mise en page HTML de base, j'ai inclus les fichiers JavaScript nécessaires dans la section <head> .
Il existe de nombreuses bibliothèques de graphiques JavaScript qui peuvent aider à visualiser les données avec moins d'efforts que ce qui serait nécessaire autrement. J'ai opté pour AnyChart , qui prend en charge les nuages de tags dès le départ, fournit des documents détaillés et est gratuit pour une utilisation à but non lucratif ; de toute façon, ce n'est qu'un exemple et les bases restent les mêmes avec les autres bibliothèques.
J'ai donc ajouté les scripts requis.

Pour ce nuage de tags, j'ai pris les données de Britannica . Quatre personnes ont remporté le prix Nobel à plusieurs reprises : Frederick Sanger, Linus Pauling, John Bardeen et Marie Curie ; Je ne les ai comptés qu'une seule fois. Certains lauréats appartiennent à deux pays ; Je les ai comptés pour les deux.
Les données nécessitaient quelques modifications avant de pouvoir les intégrer dans le nuage de mots. Je l'ai converti en un tableau d'objets avec quatre propriétés :
- x — pour le nom du pays
- valeur - pour le nombre de lauréats du prix Nobel de ce pays
- catégorie — pour le continent
- URL — contenant un lien vers Wikipédia pour plus d'informations. (Remarque : certains pays qui existaient au début du 20e siècle sont maintenant d'autres pays ; Britannica stocke les noms de pays d'origine, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas sur Wikipédia, donc les décomptes totaux par pays sont un peu différents.)

Enfin, j'ai ajouté quelques lignes de code JavaScript pour dessiner le nuage de tags lui-même. C'était assez simple.
J'ai commencé à écrire la fonction anychart.onDocumentReady() .

Après avoir obtenu ce nuage de balises JavaScript de base, j'ai décidé d'ajouter quelques personnalisations pour améliorer la vue du graphique.
1. Modification de la police
Tout d'abord, j'ai changé la police. Pour la personnalisation du titre, j'ai utilisé du HTML.

Deuxièmement, j'ai modifié la façon dont les balises sont orientées en définissant l'angle sur zéro pour les afficher toutes horizontalement.

Troisièmement, j'ai changé les couleurs et ajouté une gamme de couleurs.
J'ai créé une échelle de couleurs à l'aide de la fonction anychart.scales.ordinalColor() et lui ai transmis un tableau de couleurs. Ensuite, j'ai défini l'échelle de couleurs sur le graphique du nuage de tags et ajouté une gamme de couleurs.

Quatrièmement, j'ai amélioré l'info-bulle, un indice qui apparaît lorsque vous survolez les mots dans un nuage de tags interactif.
J'ai accédé à la fonction tooltip() et utilisé la fonction format() pour modifier le contenu de l'info-bulle.

Enfin, j'ai décidé d'ajouter un écouteur d'événement afin qu'une nouvelle page s'ouvre pour fournir plus d'informations lorsque l'on clique sur un pays.
J'ai utilisé la fonction Listen() pour « écouter » lorsqu'on clique sur le tag d'un pays. Quand j'ai pu accéder à la propriété URL dans le tableau de données et ajouter la fonction window.open() pour ouvrir la page Web avec cette URL. J'ai également transmis la propriété _blank pour ouvrir l'URL dans un nouvel onglet.

Après toutes ces personnalisations, j'ai fini par obtenir ci-dessous un nuage de tags sympa, interactif et basé sur JavaScript.
