KYVE, the decentralized data lake on a mission to make data a public good, is proud to announce the launch of its mainnet. The highly anticipated Cosmos-based chain went live on Pi Day, at 14:03:14 UTC on March 14th.

Backed by NEAR, Interchain Foundation, Solana, Arweave, and more, the launch of KYVE’s mainnet and token-generation event (TGE) paves the way for developers, node runners, data engineers, and others, providing reliable, free, streamlined access to trustless data.

“With KYVE, we aim to make data a public good for a trustless future,” said KYVE Co-Founder and CEO Fabian Riewe. “Anyone working with data shouldn’t have to worry about the data’s integrity or the roadblocks they might face when trying to get to it.”

Mainnet Today and What’s Next

Mainnet launch has enabled the chain layer of KYVE, AKA the backbone that secures the network with PoS, governance, and maintaining the overall structure. In order to bring forward a well-functioning data-sourcing solution, it's crucial that we first focus on making the chain layer as strong of a base as possible. Once this is settled, we will focus on the protocol layer.

“Congratulations to KYVE on their mainnet launch, which will make access to reliable decentralized data across Web3 easier for all. NEAR’s focus on ease of use for developers and users with the Blockchain Operating System relies on accessing data from various blockchains, which KYVE provides.” Illia Polosukhin, Co-Founder, NEAR Protocol.

Next steps for KYVE include:

  • Official $KYVE token listing;
  • The launch of the first few pools on KYVE’s data lake;
    • Bringing forward KYVE’s trustless data-sourcing solution for today’s builders. This promotes use cases such as for Sei Network’s ecosystem, bringing off-chain data, like sports results and weather data, on-chain and validating them in a decentralized way to provide builders with trustless Web2 data for their applications.
  • Further token listings and rewards opportunities;
  • New partnerships and use cases, not just in Web3, but connecting to Web2/off-chain as well.

Making Data Trustless Together

Overall, a lot of hard work, dedication, and support has gone into KYVE, helping it get to where it’s at today. We cannot thank our amazing partners, investors, beta testers, ambassadors, community, and friends enough for all of your support along the way!

“We’re thrilled to see KYVE officially launch mainnet, bringing forward yet another innovative solution, built on Cosmos SDK, for enhancing today’s developer experience. With KYVE, free and easy access to trustless data is now possible.” Chris Zhong, Technical Director, Interchain Foundation.

Mainnet launch also marks $KYVE’s official TGE, meaning that those who earned $KYVE rewards via our Incentivized Testnet can claim their tokens and get started delegating to chain nodes! You can track inflation and other token parameters directly in our Docs.

$KYVE’s official listing will come sooner than you expect. Visit our Docs to get caught up on KYVE and prepare for upcoming token listings and rewards, as well as the launch of our decentralized data lake.

About KYVE

KYVE Network is revolutionizing customized access to on- and off-chain data by providing fast and easy tooling for decentralized data validation, immutability, and retrieval. Its data lake archives and validates data in a decentralized way, making trustless data easily accessible via solutions like KYVE’s Data Pipeline.

The network is powered by decentralized uploaders and validators funded by $KYVE tokens and aims to operate as a DAO following our mainnet launch. This past year KYVE has gained significant support, currently backed by top VCs, including Hypersphere Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Distributed Global, Mechanism Capital, CMS Holdings, IOSG Ventures, and blockchains such as Arweave, Avalanche, Solana, Interchain, and NEAR.
