Kuma was donated to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation as a Sandbox project in June 2020. Kuma and Prometheus for Observability in Kubernetes Microservices Clusters is an open source service mesh to work in conjunction with Kong Gateway. The best part is that Grafana was also installed alongside the Prometheus stack, so you can visualize our metrics with Kuma’s prebuilt GraFana dashboards. There will be three metrics on a particular service plane: In-depth dataplane: Kuma Dataplane.
