Too Long; Didn't Read

Aims to convince you that technological innovation is slowing down, but it has been doing so for decades. Almost every leading energy generation technology was created over a century ago. Computers in our pockets, Swiss army knife apps and AI-driven cars are all impressive, but they don’t really seem to have changed our lives all that much. From 1870 to 1920, we saw some incredible inventions and advances. From 1920 and 1970, the last 50 years look mediocre compared with previous decades.
