(tell us your story) My first venture, was co-founded in 2015, and it was my country’s first social payments platform -- similar to Venmo from the US. Mypoolin, After raising two rounds of funding, Mypoolin was acquired by a California-based global payments player Wibmo in 2017, which in turn was acquired by Naspers-backed PayU in 2019. I experienced firsthand how painfully long and intricate working with a bank can be. I later encountered the exact same hurdles while leading the India and SEA markets in terms of their financial and banking integrations. There was a problem- a serious one at that. The market had immense potential, and the solution seemed intuitive. That’s how Decentro came to life. At Decentro, we’re building a full-stack API banking platform for financial integrations. It’s our mission and vision to empower businesses-- be it a budding startup or a fully-fledged Corporate -- to breathe a sigh of relief when they encounter a financial or banking integration. In this manner, any company can come, select any desired module from our API suite, integrate, test in the sandbox, prune, and go live within weeks. Tell us more about the things you create/write/manage/build! Decentro builds on top of a bank’s API layer and has API modular suite for a host of products such as: Bank Accounts: Business, Savings, Virtual Payments: Bank Transfers, UPI, QR codes, E-NACH Lending: BNPL, Credit Options, Credit Score Checks KYC: CKYC, KYB Cards: Prepaid & Credit Payment Instruments. Virtual & Physical. AML & Compliance Essentially, there are two innovative ways to use API integration techniques. The virtual banking infrastructure helps companies streamline their collection processes and payouts and verify the identities of registered businesses. On the other hand, Decentro’s KYC suite enables companies to run comprehensive identification checks on sellers using multiple government-issued IDs such as PAN, GSTIN, Voter ID, Driver’s License, etc. What tech are you most excited or passionate about right now and why? Amazon Web Services. The more I see of it, the more I admire it. It provides so many cloud services under one umbrella and all available at the click of a button (or several buttons) to configure the service. The beauty lies in the way all the services can be used independently as well as with each other. We got inspired by it and are trying to build a similar set of services in the financial domain for our clients. If we gave you 10 million dollars to invest in something today, what would you invest in and why?
