Most new products are unable to get any traction in the market, even if the execution is good. This often comes as a big surprise to the founders when they’ve “vetted” their idea before building. To validate your idea, you need real market feedback. There are techniques you can use to generate ideas but, for the purposes of this post, I’m assuming you already have an idea. The rule of thumb is that the idea needs to have the potential to have at least $100 million in revenue.
