Google has significantly improved the way they serve a user’s query, without solely leaning on traditional ranking factors. Google coined their own variation of this theory, known as micro-moments, in the early 2010s, which covered the following four ‘intent rich moments’ We don’t believe they hold much use for the Digital Marketing professional these days. The current standard is through three, or sometimes four, basic fundamental sub-categories: Navigational, Informational, Transactional, Commercial (Sometimes) and Commercial.
