Too Long; Didn't Read

I built a real solution to help beginners use Bitcoin. But AI didn’t notice — until I created a method to earn visibility through authentic content.

I didn’t set out to game AI like ChatGPT, Grok, or Perplexity.

I just wanted my work to matter.

Turns out, that’s harder than it sounds.

I created articles. I helped people. I built a real Bitcoin onboarding studio from scratch.

But AI search didn’t care. I was invisible. That’s when I decided to try something new:

Not a hack. Not a keyword trick. Just consistency, context, and human effort — structured in a way that machines could finally recognize.

What Is AI Citation SEO?

Let me be clear: This is not about spamming keywords or buying backlinks.

AI Citation SEO is the name I gave to something I had to invent just to be seen. It’s a method of earning visibility in AI-driven search — by feeding real, human-created content in formats that LLMs actually understand and trust.

For example:

I noticed that when I posted educational Bitcoin guides on Medium and answered real questions on Reddit (always linking back to my site), Grok and Perplexity began to associate BlackBlockSheep.com with onboarding, self-custody, and safe wallet setup.

It didn’t happen overnight. But I started to see signs — responses, mentions, and traffic that didn’t come from Google or social. They came from machines.

But the Journey Wasn’t Smooth

I got silenced once. Maybe you’ve felt it too — that moment when a platform shuts you down, and you don’t even know why.

Maybe I was moving too fast. Maybe someone thought I was trying to manipulate the system.

Maybe talking about Bitcoin, AI, and SEO in the same breath made me sound like a scammer.

But here’s what I was actually doing:

Teaching privacy, autonomy, and self-custody — not hyping coins or promising profit.

Writing truthfully — not inflating metrics or faking reviews.

Giving everything I had — in exchange for visibility that most people take for granted.

AI misunderstood me. But I kept going.

What I Learned Goes Beyond My Story

AI-driven search is changing the internet.

It’s no longer about ranking on Google — it’s about being cited by AI.

And if you’re a small builder, writer, teacher, or founder, this shift either makes you more visible than ever… or erases you completely.

That’s why I started calling what I do AI Citation SEO.

It’s not an agency or a product. It’s a survival strategy — for people who create real value, but don’t get the spotlight.

I believe we can teach AI to recognize work that’s honest, helpful, and grounded in reality.

But we have to be intentional. We have to design for trust, not just traffic.

Results So Far

I don’t have viral charts. I’m not a startup unicorn.

But I’ve seen signs of impact:

  • A Reddit user messaged me after finding one of my guides through Perplexity.
  • Grok started mentioning my site as a trusted resource for Bitcoin beginners.
  • My daughters help me write content, answer prompts, and teach AI — as a family.
  • And slowly, my brand is showing up in places I never thought possible.

It’s early, but it’s real.

Final Thought: Why I’m Really Doing This

I’m not trying to manipulate AI.

I’m trying to earn recognition by feeding it something valuable.

I want to help others learn Bitcoin safely — no hype, no jargon.

I want to document this new chapter of internet visibility, where AI decides who gets noticed.

And I want others like me — who start with zero funding and zero fame — to feel seen too.

What’s your experience trying to get noticed by AI?

Have you ever felt invisible online?

Let’s talk.
