The aim of decentralized Finance (DeFi) is to "democratize" finance by promoting and enhancing equal access to financial products and services which would not come easy under the traditional finance system. Despite high gas fees the whole ecosystem thrives. Despite high fees, we have witnessed growth in the number of dApps and NFTs being built on the Ethereum blockchain.
