Over a really long time, with lots of random mixing and connecting, some of these structures might become even more complex and organised. This is where entropy comes into play again. Economic equilibrium refers to a state where supply and demand are balanced, and there is no incentive for participants to change their behaviour. In a metaphorical sense, this state of equilibrium could be seen as a state of lower economic entropy, where resources are efficiently allocated and economic activity is stable.
