In a fast-moving, ever-changing, dynamic work environment, the ability to collaborate effectively isn’t a necessity, it’s a superpower. The concept of teamwork with its clear merits broke down when people were required to cross-team boundaries. Even those who effectively collaborated with their own team members struggled to repeat those behaviors with people outside their teams. Managers need to intervene every time there's a conflict since people across teams don't know how to handle disagreements and conflict is considered bad.
