How to Build a Secure Anonymous Feedback System With Django, Twilio, and Pinata

This project is definitely one of the most advanced of mine. I started programming a web BMD viewer for Twilight Princess (Nintendo GameCube) because I love this game and as a game producer, I am fascinated by analyzing levels and immersing myself in the details of how they were made. This project is a way for me to explore that passion and gain a deeper understanding of the game I love. It's a challenging and rewarding learning experience. I am excited to see where this project will take me and what new discoveries I will make along the way. Until now this project took me months and months of research. Research that is based on the work of more than 20 other people who investigated and shared their knowledge and findings about rarc, bmd, gcm yaz0, j3d, tev etc. I came across some person that I wrote down to give them Credit: Thanks goes out to: ("LordNed", "thakis", "Jasper St. Pierre", "Kiwi", "Dolphin Emulator Team", "Gamma", "Zan") - for their pioneering efforts! Water, Fog, animated Textures are features currently on the roadmap Demonstration The program was programmed using three.js and webGL. It runs at a constant 60fps in the chrome browser. Unfortunately I can not share the interactive Viewer (models, rooms etc.) with you, cause I don't want to see how far the limits for fair use of research are. They are part of Nintendo's J3DGraph library, which is a component of the larger JSYSTEM toolkit. BMD first appeared in the game Luigi's Mansion. It was then the only model format used in Super Mario Sunshine. The Wind Waker further introduced the BDL format, which is an extension of BMD with an additional section for material FIFO instructions called MDL3. MDL3 is used to improve rendering efficiency. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was the last game to use this model format. JSYSTEM is a proprietary game development toolkit used by Nintendo to create games for its consoles. It includes various libraries and tools for tasks such as 3D modeling, animation, and physics. J3DGraph is a library within JSYSTEM that provides functions for handling 3D graphics and is responsible for the BMD and BDL file formats. BMD stands for Binary MoDel and BDL stands for Binary Display List. The JSYSTEM toolkit was discovered by reverse engineers and game modders in the early 2000s, when they began to analyze and decompile the code of Nintendo GameCube and Wii games. They found that many of the games shared similar code structures and libraries, which led them to suspect the existence of a common development toolkit. After much research and experimentation, they were able to identify and extract the JSYSTEM libraries from the games, and began to document and reverse-engineer its various components, including the J3DGraph library and the BMD and BDL file formats. As the understanding of JSYSTEM grew, modders began to develop their own tools for working with the JSYSTEM format and started to create their own custom models, textures and even create new games using the JSYSTEM libraries. This led to the creation of a vibrant modding community that continues to exist today, with many modders sharing their findings and tools online. Development In the beginning, I wasn't really interested in the actual *.dol or *.gcm container formats because other people had already done a great job providing ready-to-use tools (created gcm reader later myself). After a bit of searching, I found folders that looked like they might contain some interesting stuff, like rooms and other elements. Large areas, such as Faron Woods, were divided into chunks and saved into separate files, which would later be merged to form the complete area. But I wanted to start easy. Maybe something simple! After unpacking most of the stuff in the folder, I sorted the files by size and found a super simple object. When I checked the file in HexWorkshop, I stumbled upon markers like VTX, INF, DRW, and SHP. From the vertex positions, I could tell it was a flat box with a simple door knob. I soon realized it was the door from the lake bed temple. I knew what the object might look like, and I knew where to look for the basic information like vertex coordinates as well as texture information. BMD-Format Documentation You have to be careful since some of the information are simply incorrect for your case. Certain attributes were just different from what those docs are telling. But having a format sheet like that is all you need in order to extract a 3d model and its texture! After my successful attempt to extract at least on simple object, I thought that it would be time to dig further and tackle a complete area! Armed with the same algorithm that I just wrote I picked the file named R00_00. I was hoping that it would be Ordon Village or Faron Woods. But that didn't matter cause all I got was a pile of garbage. Clearly a case of wrong vertex order. Can you tell by looking at this image what room it is? Shape by shape, I slowly tested the waters. Here and there, cliffs and gravestones started to appear. It became clear that I was looking at the Kakariko Graveyard area. After quite some time, I was able to produce this result: certain objects were missing, some faces were inverted, and not a single texture seemed to be correctly applied. The solution was somewhat confusing. Although certain shapes had specific material indices defined, they didn't have a straightforward 1:1 relationship. Instead, you had to look at the Scene Hierarchy defined in the INF section of the BMD file. This hierarchy consisted of a tree of nodes that could represent either a shape or a material. Typically, the hierarchy would start with a material, followed by some shapes. For example, you might see something like (mat1, shp2, shp5, shp6, mat2, shp1, shp12...). In this case, shapes 2, 5, and 6 would all use material 1, and so on. Well, great, but everyone who ever played that game might notice that materials are looking off. Colors are off, there is no blending between the materials, and it looks quite dark in general. At this point, I would have dived into the most mind-blowing part of all this. The GameCube uses TEV stages, or Texture Environment stages, to handle these tasks. TEV stages are responsible for blending textures, managing colors, and applying transparency effects. Note the fact that GameCube did not really support transparency effects like we know them today with two render passes and faraway objects rendered first. There are some GitHub repos, some articles, some forum threads. Get your hands on as much information as you can! One more important part that I needed to add were the atmospheric effects like fog, bloom, and clouds. Until this point in time I'm couldn't successfully create the fog and bloom effects, but I found the cloud shadow and put them in a blending TEV Stage. I'm still looking for the correct UV coordinates for the clouds. The final result of that room would like this:
(It took quite some time to come this far actually) Conclusion This project has been an incredible journey. Spending my time on figuring out how smart people solved technical limitation of the past helped me appreciate the complex beauty of Twilight Princess. I've made good progress, but there is still a huuge list of things  to explore and implement. I plan to keep working on this viewer, adding features like fog, BTK (Texture Animation), and other atmospheric effects to make it as accurate and immersive as possible.           Clemens, referred to his late experience with burglars. GENTLEMEN AND DOCTORS,—I am glad to be among my own kind to-night. I was once a sharpshooter, but now I practise a much higher and equally as deadly a profession. It wasn’t so very long ago that I became a member of your cult, and for the time I’ve been in the business my record is one that can’t be scoffed at. As to the burglars, I am perfectly familiar with these people. I have always had a good deal to do with burglars—not officially, but through their attentions to me. I never suffered anything at the hands of a burglar. They have invaded my house time and time again. They never got anything. Then those people who burglarized our house in September—we got back the plated ware they took off, we jailed them, and I have been sorry ever since. They did us a great service they scared off all the servants in the place. I consider the Children’s Theatre, of which I am president, and the Post-Graduate Medical School as the two greatest institutions in the country. This school, in bringing its twenty thousand physicians from all parts of the country, bringing them up to date, and sending them back with renewed confidence, has surely saved hundreds of thousands of lives which otherwise would have been lost. I have been practising now for seven months. When I settled on my farm in Connecticut in June I found the Community very thinly settled—and since I have been engaged in practice it has become more thinly settled still. This gratifies me, as indicating that I am making an impression on my community. I suppose it is the same with all of you. I have always felt that I ought to do something for you, and so I organized a Redding (Connecticut) branch of the Post-Graduate School. I am only a country farmer up there, but I am doing the best I can. Of course, the practice of medicine and surgery in a remote country district has its disadvantages, but in my case I am happy in a division of responsibility. I practise in conjunction with a horse-doctor, a sexton, and an undertaker. The combination is air-tight, and once a man is stricken in our district escape is impossible for him. These four of us—three in the regular profession and the fourth an undertaker—are all good men. There is Bill Ferguson, the Redding undertaker. Bill is there in every respect. He is a little lukewarm on general practice, and writes his name with a rubber stamp. Like my old Southern, friend, he is one of the finest planters anywhere. Then there is Jim Ruggles, the horse-doctor. Ruggles is one of the best men I have got. He also is not much on general medicine, but he is a fine horse-doctor. Ferguson doesn’t make any money off him. You see, the combination started this way. When I got up to Redding and had become a doctor, I looked around to see what my chances were for aiding in the great work. The first thing I did was to determine what manner of doctor I was to be. Being a Connecticut farmer, I naturally consulted my farmacopia, and at once decided to become a farmeopath. Then I got circulating about, and got in touch with Ferguson and Ruggles. Ferguson joined readily in my ideas, but Ruggles kept saying that, while it was all right for an undertaker to get aboard, he couldn’t see where it helped horses. Well, we started to find out what was the trouble with the community, and it didn’t take long to find out that there was just one disease, and that was race-suicide. And driving about the country-side I was told by my fellow-farmers that it was the only rational human and valuable disease. But it is cutting into our profits so that we’ll either have to stop it or we’ll have to move. We’ve had some funny experiences up there in Redding. Not long ago a fellow came along with a rolling gait and a distressed face. We asked him what was the matter. We always hold consultations on every case, as there isn’t business enough for four. He said he didn’t know, but that he was a sailor, and perhaps that might help us to give a diagnosis. We treated him for that, and I never saw a man die more peacefully. That same afternoon my dog Tige treed an African gentleman. We chained up the dog, and then the gentleman came down and said he had appendicitis. We asked him if he wanted to be cut open, and he said yes, that he’d like to know if there was anything in it. So we cut him open and found nothing in him but darkness. So we diagnosed his case as infidelity, because he was dark inside. Tige is a very clever dog, and aids us greatly. The other day a patient came to me and inquired if I was old Doctor Clemens— As a practitioner I have given a great deal of my attention to Bright’s disease. I have made some rules for treating it that may be valuable. Listen: Rule 1. DR. MARK TWAIN, FARMEOPATH

Yesterday, I my initial impressions of working with Google's AI API. If you didn't read that article, the tldr is that it's incredibly easy to work with, and I was able to get some Node.js code running in minutes—exactly the kind of experience you want new developers to have with your product. Based on how easy it was to do that, I thought about building a real prototype of how the service could be used. shared PaLM 2 What It Does My simple prototype is based on the idea of handling an influx of emails. Imagine a support address or other important email address used for a company. If there is a lot of email coming in, or if the emails that do come in are critically important, it could be useful to let certain people know as soon as possible. In that notification, it would be even more helpful if a summary of the email was included. This is where generative AI can help. The Workflow For my workflow, I decided to use . One of the triggers it has is email-based, so I went with that. This gives a unique email address that will kick off a process whenever a new email is received. Now, for my demo, that was fine, but I'd imagine in a "real world" scenario, you would use a real email account, and Pipedream has triggers for that. Here's that step: Pipedream Next, I needed to write code that would hit Google's PaLM API. As I shared yesterday, their API is fairly simple. But I didn't even have to do that, as Pipedream already supports actions to work with their API. I literally just configured my access (which is just an API key) and then created my trigger. Remember that the workflow is fired off by getting a new email, so my prompt asks PaLM to summarize it: Note that my prompt is a combination of static text and content from the trigger: Summarize the following email in two to three sentences: {{steps.trigger.event.body.text}} Next, I added a code step whose purpose is to take the result of the PaLM API call and craft a message that will be texted.           to a fire of short speeches by Charles Dudley Warner, Charles
          A. Dana, Seth Low, General Porter, and many others, each
          welcoming the guest of honor. I don’t see that I have a great deal to explain. I got off very well, considering the opportunities that these other fellows had. I don’t see that Mr. Low said anything against me, and neither did Mr. Dana. However, I will say that I never heard so many lies told in one evening as were told by Mr. McKelway—and I consider myself very capable; but even in his case, when he got through, I was gratified by finding how much he hadn’t found out. By accident he missed the very things that I didn’t want to have said, and now, gentlemen, about Americanism. I have been on the continent of Europe for two and a half years. I have met many Americans there, some sojourning for a short time only, others making protracted stays, and it has been very gratifying to me to find that nearly all preserved their Americanism. I have found they all like to see the Flag fly, and that their hearts rise when they see the Stars and Stripes. I met only one lady who had forgotten the land of her birth and glorified monarchical institutions. I think it is a great thing to say that in two and a half years I met only one person who had fallen a victim to the shams—I think we may call them shams—of nobilities and of heredities. She was entirely lost in them. After I had listened to her for a long time, I said to her: “At least you must admit that we have one merit. We are not like the Chinese, who refuse to allow their citizens who are tired of the country to leave it.           FOR THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY AT CUMBERLAND GAP, TENN. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,—The remainder of my duties as presiding chairman here this evening are but two—only two. One of them is easy, and the other difficult. That is to say, I must introduce the orator, and then keep still and give him a chance. The name of Henry Watterson carries with it its own explanation. It is like an electric light on top of Madison Square Garden; you touch the button and the light flashes up out of the darkness. You mention the name of Henry Watterson, and your minds are at once illuminated with the splendid radiance of his fame and achievements. A journalist, a soldier, an orator, a statesman, a rebel. Yes, he was a rebel; and, better still, now he is a reconstructed rebel. It is a curious circumstance, a circumstance brought about without any collusion or prearrangement, that he and I, both of whom were rebels related by blood to each other, should be brought here together this evening bearing a tribute in our hands and bowing our heads in reverence to that noble soul who for three years we tried to destroy. I don’t know as the fact has ever been mentioned before, but it is a fact, nevertheless. Colonel Watterson and I were both rebels, and we are blood relations. I was a second lieutenant in a Confederate company for a while—oh, I could have stayed on if I had wanted to. I made myself felt, I left tracks all around the country. I could have stayed on, but it was such weather. I never saw such weather to be out-of-doors in, in all my life. The Colonel commanded a regiment, and did his part, I suppose, to destroy the Union. He did not succeed, yet if he had obeyed me he would have done so. I had a plan, and I fully intended to drive General Grant into the Pacific Ocean—if I could get transportation. I told Colonel Watterson about it. I told him what he had to do. What I wanted him to do was to surround the Eastern army and wait until I came up. But he was insubordinate; he stuck on some quibble of military etiquette about a second lieutenant giving orders to a colonel or something like that. And what was the consequence? The Union was preserved. This is the first time I believe that that secret has ever been revealed. No one outside of the family circle, I think, knew it before; but there the facts are. Watterson saved the Union; yes, he saved the Union. And yet there he sits, and not a step has been taken or a movement made toward granting him a pension. That is the way things are done. It is a case where some blushing ought to be done. You ought to blush, and I ought to blush, and he—well, he’s a little out of practice now.           his daughter in Norfolk, Conn., addressed her audience on the
          subject of stage-fright.  He thanked the people for making
          things as easy as possible for his daughter’s American debut as
          a contralto, and then told of his first experience before the
          public. My heart goes out in sympathy to any one who is making his first appearance before an audience of human beings. By a direct process of memory I go back forty years, less one month—for I’m older than I look. I recall the occasion of my first appearance. San Francisco knew me then only as a reporter, and I was to make my bow to San Francisco as a lecturer. I knew that nothing short of compulsion would get me to the theatre. So I bound myself by a hard-and-fast contract so that I could not escape. I got to the theatre forty-five minutes before the hour set for the lecture. My knees were shaking so that I didn’t know whether I could stand up. If there is an awful, horrible malady in the world, it is stage-fright-and seasickness. They are a pair. I had stage-fright then for the first and last time. I was only seasick once, too. It was on a little ship on which there were two hundred other passengers. I—was—sick. I was so sick that there wasn’t any left for those other two hundred passengers. It was dark and lonely behind the scenes in that theatre, and I peeked through the little peekholes they have in theatre curtains and looked into the big auditorium. That was dark and empty, too. By-and-by it lighted up, and the audience began to arrive. I had got a number of friends of mine, stalwart men, to sprinkle themselves through the audience armed with big clubs. Every time I said anything they could possibly guess I intended to be funny they were to pound those clubs on the floor. Then there was a kind lady in a box up there, also a good friend of mine, the wife of the Governor. She was to watch me intently, and whenever I glanced toward her she was going to deliver a gubernatorial laugh that would lead the whole audience into applause. At last I began. I had the manuscript tucked under a United States flag in front of me where I could get at it in case of need. But I managed to get started without it. I walked up and down—I was young in those days and needed the exercise—and talked and talked. Right in the middle of the speech I had placed a gem. I had put in a moving, pathetic part which was to get at the hearts and souls of my hearers. When I delivered it they did just what I hoped and expected. They sat silent and awed. I had touched them. Then I happened to glance up at the box where the Governor’s wife was—you know what happened. Well, after the first agonizing five minutes, my stage-fright left me, never to return. I know if I was going to be hanged I could get up and make a good showing, and I intend to. But I shall never forget my feelings before the agony left me, and I got up here to thank you for her for helping my daughter, by your kindness, to live through her first appearance. And I want to thank you for your appreciation of her singing, which is, by-the-way, hereditary.
