Not long ago I started a series of articles on women in technology at our corporate blog, at <a href="https://soshace.com/" target="_blank">soshace.com</a>. And so far I’ve managed to publish just <a href="https://blog.soshace.com/en/2019/02/07/women-in-tech-coding/" target="_blank">one</a> that featured five outstanding women who were promoting coding education among children, teenage girls, mothers who recently delivered babies, and different other minority groups. I am passionate about promoting equality and diversity in various fields, be it science or creative writing. Unfortunately, back where our company’s based, in Russia, we’re far behind those practices, but there is definitely a nascent trend for inclusion. Writing articles such as these, about women and minority groups, is an essential stepping stone in spreading awareness globally and locally.

When I look around, I see the sadness on people’s faces. Blockchain, machine learning and DevOps enthusiasts everywhere, yearning for the next big thing, the next thing that fires up the IT industry with razzmatazz and zing. The next thing that helps us deliver faster, with better control, and enduring quality. Saving us from software crimes of slow releases, delivered badly, and issue laden post release. We may not have much longer to wait, as the next big thing may be about to arrive. Its name is ITIL, ITIL IV.

Currently, robots can be used to perform various tasks, such as: surgery, accompany the elderly, diffuse bombs, and space exploration. Hence robots can save lives and perform tasks that would otherwise be too complex or too dangerous to perform by humans. In this article I would like to take you on an adventure and take a look at the interesting history of robotics and AI.
