Debugging a Spring WebFlux application can be a challenging task, especially when dealing with complex reactive streams. Unlike traditional blocking applications, where the stack trace provides a clear indication of the root cause of an issue, reactive applications can be harder to debug. Issues such as blocking code, concurrency problems, and race conditions can all cause subtle bugs that are difficult to diagnose. Scenario When dealing with a bug it’s not always a code-related issue. It could be a set of factors, such as recent refactoring, team changes, hard deadlines and so on. In real life, it’s a common thing to end up troubleshooting large applications made by people who left the company a while back, and you just joined. Knowing a little about a domain and technologies isn't going to make your life easier. In the code example below, I wanted to imagine how a buggy code could look like for a person recently joined a team. Consider debugging this code more like a journey rather than challenge. The root cause could be obvious to find for those who are familiar with Reactive apps. I caught up with Jakob Schillinger, the brains behind Hermetica, to get the lowdown. Guy was practically vibrating with excitement. "We're changing the game," he gushed. Utilizing the DSR methodology we demonstrate the implementation and initial integration of a digital artefact, utilizing the Dai Stablecoin system to deterministically automate the processes required to monitor and liquidate a leveraged position. The initial attempt at integrating the artefact into a traditional exchange operation presented several necessary compromises required to maintain the integrity of the secured exchange environment. Future work on this artefact will seek to bridge the chasm between permissionless blockchain technology and the hardened enterprise environment. Our work will examine the feasibility of exposing the browser-based wallet API to internally managed hot-wallets alongside an examination of whether the recursive operation can be conducted utilizing internal liquidity.
