HackerNoon Winning the "Startup of the year 2021 - Bucharest edition” is a true validation coming from the community regarding Sphynx Network’s vision and concept. The confirmation of their needs to do more with their NFTs and that is obviously fueling our engines and tells us we are on the right path. How do you or your company intend to embrace the responsibility of this title in 2022? Our project merges the DeFi zone with NFTs and GameFi space using alchemy in blockchain technology, turning them into a DeFi 2.0 that complies with the new era of NFT non-custodial staking and liquidity mining. Alchemy in Blockchain refers to NFT non-custodial staking and liquidity mining. An LP (50% SPH and 50% BNB/MATIC) will mint a . chest A is an ERC721/BEP721 token that will act as a smart wallet for other tokens/NFTs. (it can host other tokens/NFTs) chest Chests can be transferred between wallets with their contained multiple assets, in a single transaction. When staking, the holder has to transfer the custody or the ownership of their assets in order to accrue rewards, but the chest allows users to do things differently, in addition to being a  smart wallet, the chest has a that allows users to locking them in the chest until the users decide to leave the staking program.  (earn rewards without giving away possession of your tokens ) vault mechanism stake tokens to noncustodial reward programs, Even though locked assets can t be transferred before leaving the staking program, chests can be transferred between wallets without interrupting the staking process. (Reward programs are independent of each other, meaning that rewards earned in one program won’t affect the other and that subscribing and unsubscribing from one program won’t affect the other subs, multiple reward programs can coexist simultaneously) -Users can take part in different reward programs with different tokens all within the same chest. Chest is designed to to allow users staking the same tokens multiple times in different reward programs simultaneously. According to our roadmap once the NFT staking infrastructure is operational we will move on with development to the Marketplae that is divided into different sections. The segment where users can fractionalize ownership of their NFTs, increasing the liquidity of an illiquid product as an NFT, especially if they have a high value. Another area of the NFT marketplace, where players may trade various owned items and assets as NFTs. They can customize their characters and breed different Sphynx Civilizations.  Players can execute DeFi functions with in game NFTs (like an armor left in crafting for a specific period of time to gain better stats) T he ultimate goal of Sphynx Network's product development team is to deliver an NFT play-to-earn game. Characters are part of different civilizations and are divided based on several elements such as earth, water, fire, alchemy, shadow, and psychic, and will have a variety of characteristics such as health, defense, attack, agility, rarity, magic level, and more. I Named My Company After My Cats - Interview with Madalin, CEO at Sphynx Network

HackerNoon Reporter: Please tell us briefly about your background. I am Madalin, the CEO of . I grew up in Bucharest - Romania where I have been working with and understanding traditional markets and their cycles since 2011, trading and riding the waves on charts starting in 2013. I spent the last 12 years around trading stocks, commodities, currencies, and indices. I’ve been a business developer for different renowned trading companies around the world. I first interacted with crypto back in 2016, as an investor, and ever since then, I have been involved in the growth and development of crypto projects. Sphynx Network What's your startup called? And in a sentence or two, what does it do? It’s called Sphynx Network and it introduces the NFTs into the DeFi space. We aim to improve the fundamental nature of DeFi, using alchemy in blockchain technology. This will work with the next generation of yield farming and liquidity mining by implementing NFT staking. Focusing to deliver an NFT fractional ownership marketplace and a blockchain-based play-to-earn NFT game. What is the origin story? First of all, I have the cat, the sphynx :) It was easy to find the name and the face of the token. Being an investor in different projects, being up to date with what is niche is mainstream in crypto, we have decided to marry DeFi with NFT, first. I have been amazed by the technology geyser v2 from Ampleforth that introduces a new and even more exciting standard: the “Universal Vault”. Universal Vaults are a type of composable NFT standard that provides an interface for locking and unlocking tokens. It offers the users of the vaults a non-custodial staking alternative. It means that Universal Vaults allow users to increase their capital efficiency by allowing the possibility of subscribing to their LP tokens across rewards programs, with different multipliers in rewards. From this point, we have developed the concept of fractional ownership NFT marketplace and the blockchain base play-to-earn NFT game, which will be the fourth product of Sphynx Network. What do you love about your team, and why are you the ones to solve this problem? I work with very talented people, I get to learn new stuff from them every day. We are not a big team so business and personal life tend to mix into a perfect match and I can proudly say that we are all friends, if not family. Everyone is trying to improve themselves and we push boundaries and innovate on a daily basis. Despite being a handful of people in the core team, we work with people from all around the world and all age groups, diversity providing the different perspectives and skills to succeed. If you weren’t building your startup, what would you be doing? I guess most likely I would be part of another team building someone else’s project. At the moment, how do you measure success? What are your core metrics? At the time is progress, publication, and adoption, we measure success based on organic traffic, worldwide expansion, and delivering more than we promised on the roadmap. What’s most exciting about your traction to date? Great question - we are super happy that we have healthy growth. Also, we see more and more usage of our staking program. With the NFT staking feature to be launched soon, we are confident that our traction will get a solid boost. What technologies are you currently most excited about, and most worried about? And why? I’m most excited about alchemy in blockchain, being able to stake an NFT once and unlock multiple rewards from different platforms simultaneously. Every way that NFTs can be used in DeFi, from NFT collateralized loans to NFT staking and tokenized insurance, decentralized identity, and behavior systems. I’m not really worried about any specific technologies, but maybe the way that some groups are using technologies, for example, censorship and control; which is why I’m excited about blockchain, because they will let people overcome powerful forces that work against liberty. What drew you to get published on HackerNoon? What do you like most about our platform? HackerNoon is great at marrying the current state of technology with compelling angles on difficult topics. What advice would you give to the 21-year-old version of yourself? Don’t underestimate the value of setting clear, easily explained goals in helping your organization move more quickly. Make sure you invest the time so your goals are unambiguous and disseminated across the entire organization. It’s not rocket science, just hard work. What is something surprising you've learned this year that your contemporaries would benefit from knowing? You need to let go sometimes. And have fun too. I found that stressing over things doesn’t help at all. Learn more about my thoughts, opinions and my journey in the tech industry via the interview below. 1. Tell us about your journey. What do you do and what do you love about it? For the past 12 years, I've been trading on the classic financial markets and understanding economic cycles. Been developing businesses for different financial companies around the world. 2016 was the year I first split attention and time between classic markets and crypto. In 2020 I went full-time crypto. Developed a token that I launched in June 2021 and in 2022 started a crypto management agency that is providing tools and solutions to projects worldwide based on their needs and budgets. 2. Tell us more about your work. What do you manage, write and build? Using alchemy in blockchain technology, i manage to deliver disruptive projects worldwide. Co-founder @Coinsiglieri, a crypto management agency providing every single tool required so that teams and projects willing to help build or improve the crypto space can do it in a regulated environment and provide a proper ecosystem to their communites. As founder of @SphynxNetwork, we are building the blockchain alchemist society and infrastructure for the future users of NFT liquidity mining services. Imagine a world where you send an unlimited number of assets paying a one-time fee. Accruing rewards from multiple farms using the same assets, simultaneously is another result of using alchemy in blockchain! ! Insane, right?! 3. How did you start writing? What made you choose HackerNoon for publishing your work? It actually started as a relief, initially. it s a state of calm and comfort experienced as stress and anxiety release. I have been trying some other platforms as well, but Hackernoon turns out much handier than the rest, like even editing articles. Being part of a crypto project, we had several interactions with Hackernoon amazing community as well. 4. What excites you in tech? Tell us about your favorite technology and why you are passionate about it. My favorite question, let's go! The extreme excitement comes from the chemistry levels of the marriage between DeFi and NFTs! I'm still amazed by the number of outcomes resulting from this merge, it's crazy! Imagine this! Users can actually use a LP to mint a NFT that will next act as a box that can store multiple assets and is transferable P2P Heading more and more towards decentralization, solutions will start making noise and become mainstream due to the adoption of one single phrase non custodial liquidity mining “Not your keys, not your tokens!” In DeFi as we know it so far, in order to accrue rewards from a farm, users have to send their tokens to a smart contract that will then start sending them rewards based on individual criterias. When happens, users will never renounce ownership of their assets, but they will their tokens to different farms. Tokens will remain in the user 's wallet at all times! This way, the same assets can be subscribed to different farms that will accrue rewards, simultaneously. non custodial staking subscribe All this coming right after the “0 value NFT hype” will pass, that we are currently transitioning.. 5. What were some of the challenges you faced being a tech writer and how did you overcome them? There isn't even a short version of this story, because the long version it's already short. 😃 Overcome the issues by actually bringing to life the technology I wrote about above! That's it! 6. What are you learning/reading currently? Any recommendations for our readers? Good one, I guess because I never liked being where everyone is, I developed filters to see things other than everyone else. Unconsciously most likely, but still, this led to me having a more of a visionary way of seeing things rather than just different. I am concerned about something that most of us are not even aware of! We all want decentralization but at what cost/risk?! MEW - Miner/Maximal Extractable Value and frontrunning. “This concept was first applied in the context of , and was initially referred to as "miner extractable value". This is because in proof-of-work, miners control transaction inclusion, exclusion, and ordering. proof-of-work dHowever, after the transition to proof-of-stake via validators will be responsible for these roles, and mining will no longer be applicable. The value extraction methods here will still persist after this transition, and thus the term "miner extractable value" is no longer valid. "Maximal extractable value" is now used as a more inclusive replacement.” → The Merge <https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/mev/] When transactions are not in users wallet but not on chain either, they are in the Mempool (the dark forest). Mempool is the place where miners are fishing transactions based on gas fees, not being forced to include transactions on chain based on “first come, first served” Looking into flashbots bundled transactions developed by Stephane Gosselin and FSS (Fair Sequencing Services) developed by Ari Juels from Chainlink, previously working together with Stephane Gosselin when flashbots was flashboys. 7. What is your biggest achievement so far? Professionally wise, I am proudly considering myself lucky being able to help build the infrastructure of the crypto and blockchain environment in this very early stage. 8. If we gave you 10 million dollars to invest in something today, what would you invest in and why? I’d be curious to see how NFTs work in the world of data ownership. Decentralizing the data sharing network! This will shift the whole data market structure and will give back to 6 billion people, the basic human right to own their data. With the development of NFTs, data ownership can be encoded and stored in a Data NFT that can be traded in decentralized marketplaces. Data sharing procedures are crucial for corporations as they need it to achieve a balance between privacy, improved user experience and profit, for corporations. 9. What advice would you give to someone just starting in this field? Just like S&P500 follows the evolution of the biggest 500 companies in the US, based on their market cap. Investors actually buy all of the 500 companies instead of singluar asset investements. Recently we @Coinsiglieri managed a project that is launching a token and their project is an index. Here are a few trends that I think are worth highlighting: Layoffs: The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to widespread layoffs in many industries, including tech. This trend is concerning because it can have significant negative impacts on individuals and families, and can also destabilize businesses and industries. Web3 fraud: The decentralized nature of the web3 ecosystem has made it difficult to regulate and prevent fraud, which has led to a number of scams and fraudulent activities. This trend is concerning because it can undermine trust in the web3 ecosystem and hinder its growth and adoption. AI: While artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to bring significant benefits, it also raises concerns about potential negative impacts, such as job displacement and the potential for misuse or abuse. To address these trends, there are a few potential solutions that come to mind: To address the issue of layoffs, governments and businesses could focus on providing support to those who have lost their jobs, such as through unemployment benefits and retraining programs. Why did you choose this field in the first place? I like working with people and developing ideas with them. What tech are you most excited/passionate about right now and why? Most of the Crypto market. For young professionals or investors, cryptocurrencies sound like the business of the future. Although many people tend to buy only a few units to keep, hoping for potential growth in the future, active investors are dedicated to buying and selling crypto, maximizing their profit and revenue. What tech are you most worried about right now and why? The aim of keeping up with the rate of technological innovation is something that irritates me. There is always something fresh to discover. It is critical for the firm and its employees to be well-informed in order to thrive in today's competitive marketplace. Adapting tactics to meet changing needs is a must. What are your hobbies and interests outside of tech? Since I am a mother of two cats, spending time with them makes me feel better :) Besides, I am always keen on keeping my time productive by reading books. **Let's talk about breaking the glass ceiling. What were the biggest challenges you faced as a woman in tech, and how did you deal with them? ** Being a woman CO-Founder in tech was initially challenging, pertaining to a male-dominated environment. Although the time is changing, there is still a preconceived notion that women can’t do better in the tech sector. Any interesting misogynistic story/situation you faced/handled, and you want to share with the Fam? HackerNoon As of right now, I haven't encountered anything like this. There is a shift in people's beliefs and perceptions as the world changes throughout time. One of the most significant achievements in the fight against sexism is the progress made in the fields of education and ethics. Women nowadays are more self-reliant than they've ever been. They want to make their imprint on every aspect of the business they are a part of. What was the biggest setback/failure that you faced, and how did you manage it? Things were a bit difficult in the midst of the worldwide epidemic of covid-19. We had no idea what was going to happen at the moment. Even in the face of a sudden lockdown crisis, there is so much at risk, such as a transition to a remote office, communication gaps, and flexible working hours. Since our team collaborated and made swift organizational policy adjustments in tandem, we were able to shine through. What's your biggest achievement that you're really proud of? My biggest achievement of all time is customer satisfaction. This is what really makes me happy! To ensure that the best service is disseminated to the clients, our team worked on various aspects. In your opinion, why do we see this huge gender gap in the tech industry, and how can we reduce it? Gender disparities in the workplace have a long history, and this is no different in the IT sector. The gender gap is, in my opinion, a product of the social environment we've built. Because they believe that the technology business is controlled by males, women tend to stay away from it. Another reason why women aren't entering the IT field is because of society's preconceptions about what women can and can't do. Who is your tech idol? Why? HEDY LAMARR. Hedy was a famous actress, however, her talents did not stop there. Hedy worked on various inventions, was completely self-taught, and did not receive any formal training in technology. Hedy’s greatest invention was her Secret Communication System, a frequency hopping device, that she created with the help of George Antheil. The key purpose of this device was to set radio-guided torpedoes off course during the war, which became the basis for many modern-day inventions, such as Wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth. Do you have any advice for aspiring girls who want to join the field? People have a lot of misconceptions about females working in the tech industry. My advice to emerging entrepreneurs is to never question yourself. Whatever you do, have trust in it. Even if you fail many times, never give up hope. Without action, you can never know how your efforts will turn out. As a result, keep going after it until you do. You may learn a lot from other people's errors as well as from your own. Keep your head in the game and your attitude upbeat. Trying to turn a hobby or interest into a company may lead to poor time management and a constant infatuation with the business itself. Take a moment to think about the people you care about. Balance your career and personal lives.
