The Merkle Root is acquired from the Merkle Tree and contains a single hash containing total balances in the snapshots. Then, the digital signatures of Huobi's on-chain wallet addresses are verified to prove ownership over the addresses which obtain publically verifiable balances. Finally, the total balances held in on-chain wallet addresses are compared with the total balances provided by the Merkle Root to verify whether all assets are backed 1:1 by Huobi's reserves. What is Opside? is a decentralized ZK-RaaS ( ) platform as well as a PoW (Proof of Work) network that facilitates ZKP (Zero-Knowledge Proof) mining. It employs a hybrid consensus mechanism combining PoS and PoW. This platform offers a unique feature for Web3 developers, namely, the ability to generate zkEVM application chains with a single click. The multitude of ZK-Rollups brings about a substantial need for computational power, creating a beneficial mining environment for global miners. Opside ZK-Rollup as a Service The notion of L2 is widely recognized in scalability solutions. However, L2 doesn't adequately manage diverse types of hardware resources such as data availability, ZKP computational power, or packaging nodes. Furthermore, operating an L2, especially a ZK-Rollup, requires considerable hardware maintenance costs and a high level of technical proficiency, which can be off-putting for many developers. To address these challenges, Opside introduced the ZK-RaaS concept. This service allows developers to launch their zkEVM chains within a minute, without needing detailed knowledge about ZK or chain nodes. Opside also introduced the ZK-PoW concept, inviting miners to participate in maintaining zkEVM and calculating ZKPs. Opside's objective is to simplify ZK-Rollup usage and promote its wider adoption, thus facilitating the large-scale deployment of zkEVM-based application chains. Developers can deploy their ZK-Rollup (zkEVM) across multiple chains with a single click. For miners, Opside serves as a multi-chain PoW protocol, supporting ZK mining and generating zero-knowledge proofs for ZK-Rollups across various public chains. ZK-RaaS ZK-RaaS (ZK-Rollup as a Service) provides a one-click ZK-Rollup generation service to all users. Opside offers a general ZK-Rollup launchpad, enabling developers to effortlessly deploy different types of ZK-Rollups onto different base chains. These base chains include Ethereum, Opside chain, BNB chain, Polygon PoS, and other public chains. Types of ZK-Rollup (zkEVM) encompass zkSync, Polygon zkEVM, Scroll, StarkNet, and other zkEVMs, as well as other varieties of ZK-Rollups. Opside deploys a Rollup System Contract (RSC) on each base chain to manage the lifecycle of Rollups on that chain, including registration, suspension, and withdrawal. By leasing a Rollup slot with a certain number of IDE (Opside native tokens), developers can own a ZK-Rollup. The idea of a Rollup slot is comparable to a slot in Polkadot or an application chain in Cosmos. However, Cosmos' application chain requires maintaining its own consensus layer and cross-chain bridge, presenting substantial security risks. Conversely, ZK-Rollup applies ZK technology, mathematically ensuring the shared consensus and data availability layer between Rollup and the base chain. This method is more secure, more decentralized, and incurs lower maintenance costs. Upon leasing a Rollup slot, developers gain an independent execution environment, where they can own a unique ZK-Rollup chain. Developers can fully control the ZK-Rollup, and customize its economic model, including the selection of gas tokens. They can freely adjust gas fees, even to zero, thereby exempting users from paying any fees. Developers are not burdened with any hardware costs. All hardware resources, such as data availability, sequencer, and ZKP computing power, are decentralized and provided by the Opside ZK-PoW cloud. Moreover, native cross-rollup communication can be implemented among different ZK-Rollups on the same base chain. It is a message communication mechanism enabling an address on one rollup to directly interact with a contract on another rollup. This feature significantly addresses the fragmentation of user assets and enhances interoperability between applications. Opside ZK-PoW Cloud Compared to OP-Rollup, ZK-Rollup has several advantages including enhanced security, trustless operations, and faster withdrawal speeds. A key technological difference is that ZK-Rollup requires robust ZKP computational power to generate zero-knowledge proofs.\ Opside's Multi-chain ZK-PoW Mechanism The multi-chain ZK-PoW mechanism of Opside ZK-PoW Cloud will be deployed on multiple chains including, but not limited to, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon PoS, and Opside Chain itself. With the design of Opside, developers can deploy ZK-Rollups on these different base chains. As the technology of ZK-Rollup matures, we may see hundreds or even thousands of ZK-Rollups, leading to a significant demand for ZKP computational power. After the transition from Ethereum PoW to PoS, many Ethereum mining machines lost their application scenarios. The value of these machines, in terms of capital scale, is around 12 billion USD, with many currently idle. With the large-scale implementation of ZK-Rollup, the generation of ZKP requires a lot of hardware and mining machines, such as CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs, to provide computational capacity. Opside uses the ZK-PoW mechanism to incentivize miners to provide ZKP computational power, thereby offering comprehensive hardware infrastructure for ZK-Rollup. This is one of the core ideas of Opside. All participants, including users, developers, and miners, can benefit from this Opside economic model. Two-step submission mechanism for ZKP verification To encourage more miners to participate in ZKP calculation tasks simultaneously, Opside has proposed a two-step submission mechanism for ZKP verification. The share of PoW rewards for a ZKP will be distributed to the effective ZKP submitter, the miner, according to certain rules. : Within a specified timeframe for a certain sequence, multiple miners can participate in the computation of zero-knowledge proof. After each miner calculates the proof, they don't submit the original proof directly but compute the proofhash of (proof/address) and submit this proofhash to the contract. Submit proofhash : After the timeframe ends, the miner submits the original proof and verifies it against the previously submitted proofhash. Miners who pass this verification receive PoW rewards, with the reward quantity distributed according to the miner's stake. Please refer to for further details. Submit ZKP ZKP's Two-Step Submission Algorithm Optimized ZKP Generation Algorithm When Rollup's smart contract verifies the ZKP, if the original proof is submitted, it could potentially incite on-chain attacks. To avert such attacks, ZK-Rollup often performs additional operations to obscure the original proof data. Opside's innovative two-step submission algorithm for ZKP leverages a "submit first, verify later" approach, circumventing unnecessary aggregate computations for proof and address. Moreover, in some open-source zkEVMs, ZKP calculation and submission occur sequentially. This can become a bottleneck when ZK-Rollup submits a large number of sequences, as miners can't compute multiple ZKPs concurrently. Opside's two-step submission algorithm enables parallel computation and sequential submission of ZKP, allowing miners to perform multiple ZKP generation tasks simultaneously and significantly enhancing ZKP generation efficiency. The Opside team also enhanced the ZKP recursive aggregation algorithm, markedly improving machine resource utilization in the cluster and further accelerating ZKP computations. Stress tests in practical environments showed that miners using a machine cluster of 20 units (each with a 128-core CPU and 1TB RAM) sustained a transaction rate of 27.8 TPS for approximately 40 minutes. Under similar conditions, Opside managed to slash the average transaction confirmation time from roughly 5-6 minutes to about 3 minutes, enhancing the ZKP generation efficiency by about 80%. With the participation of more ZK-Rollups and miners, the demand and supply scale of the ZKP computational power market will continue to expand, making the efficiency improvements offered by Opside's PoW algorithm increasingly noticeable. Opside Chain The Opside Chain, as one of the base chains, not only supports the Opside ZK-PoW Cloud but also offers further optimizations for ZK-Rollup. These include the use of precompiled contracts for accelerated ZKP verification, data sharding support, and the adoption of a PoS consensus based on ETH 2.0. Future support will also be extended to EIP-4844, DankSharding, and other full-shard solutions, potentially reducing Rollup gas costs to near zero. Ethereum currently stands as the world's largest decentralized network, boasting over half a million nodes. These nodes offer significant decentralization and, looking to the future, are set to provide tremendous data availability thanks to data-sharding technology. Inspired by Ethereum, Opside Chain has chosen to enhance the PoS consensus derived from ETH 2.0. We predict that Opside Chain will have an impressive network of over 100,000 nodes. When considering Rollup, the question arises of how to decentralize the sequencer further instead of relying on a singular node for centralized packaging. A practical approach is allowing Opside Chain's block proposers to also propose blocks for the Rollup Layer, effectively separating the roles of builder and proposer. The builder is supported by a permissionless P2P network, while the proposer leans on Opside Chain's block proposer. This methodology eliminates the availability risk of a single node while maintaining resistance to Miner Extractable Value (MEV) and censorship. Consequently, Opside Chain presents a standardized decentralized sequencer mechanism, with its block proposers also proposing blocks for the Rollup. In this way, ZK-Rollup not only inherits security from the higher layer but also its degree of decentralization. Opside Chain introduces a mixed consensus model involving PoS and PoW: In the Opside chain: PoS: Opside plans to adopt and modify Ethereum 2.0's PoS algorithm. It allows anyone holding Opside tokens to become a validator, who can then receive block rewards and gas fees within the Opside chain. In the Rollup layer: PoS (Sequencer): Validators propose blocks in both the Opside Chain and the Rollup Layer (i.e., data batches). Hence, they also serve as sequencers in the Rollup Layer, where they can earn gas fees from transactions. PoW (Prover): Any individual with sufficient computational power for ZKP calculations can become a prover in the Rollup Layer. Under PoW rules, provers generate zk-proofs from the Rollup Layer blocks submitted by the sequencer. Drawing a comparison, a ZK-Rollup is akin to a computer, with the hard drive represented by the data availability offered by PoS and the CPU mirrored by the computational power granted by PoW. Opside Chain's task is to strike a balance between PoS and PoW, enabling all parties to maximize their contribution and benefits, thereby enhancing the performance and user experience of a large-scale ZK-Rollups network. Supply and Demand of IDE Tokens Regarding the supply and demand of tokens, Opside tokens (IDE) will be minted as PoS and PoW rewards, catering to Validators and Miners, respectively. During the Pre-Alpha test net phase, the block reward ratio of PoS to PoW is temporarily set at 1:2. In the future, this ratio will dynamically adjust based on the network's ZKP computational power supply-demand relationship. PoS rewards As previously stated, Opside Chain employs an enhanced PoS consensus based on ETH 2.0. To act as a Validator, users must deposit a certain amount of IDE tokens into a deposit contract and operate three separate software modules: an execution client, a consensus client, and a Validator. These Validators oversee the validation of new blocks circulated across the network and occasionally generate and propagate new blocks themselves. If a Validator is found to be dishonest or inactive, their staked IDE will be forfeited as punishment. Under the PoS mechanism, Opside Chain maintains a fixed rate of block production. The timeframe is subdivided into slots, each lasting 12 seconds, and epochs, composed of 32 slots. Within each slot, a validator is selected at random to propose a new block. This validator is tasked with creating and broadcasting the new block to the rest of the network. Likewise, a committee of validators is chosen randomly during each slot, whose collective votes confirm the validity of the proposed block. For a detailed understanding of this mechanism, kindly refer to the . PoS consensus model of Ethereum For the Alpha testnet phase, Opside Chain is set to incorporate . This introduces Data Availability Sampling (DAS), a tool used to ensure that transaction data from ZK-Rollup is available after execution, without overburdening any single node. In practice, each validator will randomly pull transaction data from the blob to verify its presence. The same method can also ensure that all data from block producers is accessible to secure light clients. In line with , only block builders are required to process the entire block, while other validators will employ data availability sampling for validation. EIP-4844 the Proposer-Builder Separation (PBS) principle Please note, Opside Chain may vary on specific parameters; the latest values can be accessed in the code repository. Broadly speaking, staking encourages individual participation in network protection, thus fostering decentralization. Validator nodes can be run on regular laptop computers. Some delegation staking pools even permit staking activities for users who do not hold a sufficient quantity of IDE tokens. PoW rewards Based on the ZK-Rollup launchpad provided by Opside, developers can choose to have their own ZK-Rollup on a base chain. To support the massive hardware resources required by numerous ZK-Rollups, Opside offers a unified ZKP computation market, encouraging miners (or provers) to generate ZKP for these ZK-Rollups. This is the ZK-PoW mechanism of Opside. Single Rollup Sequence Reward Allocation ZK-PoW is a multi-chain protocol, meaning that PoW rewards will be distributed across various base chains including Ethereum, Opside Chain, BNB Chain, and Polygon PoS. The number of PoW rewards for each base chain depends on the number of registered Rollup slots, ZKP workload, etc. For each base chain, within a block, each Rollup can only submit one sequence (which can include multiple blocks of the Rollup). Each sequence will equally share the PoW rewards of the current block. This means, for example, if there are four Rollups submitting sequences within a block on the base chain, the PoW rewards will be divided into four parts, with each sequence receiving one-fourth of the block's PoW rewards. Of course, some blocks might not have any Rollup submitting a sequence, so the actual inflation of PoW may be lower than expected. In the future, each sequence will have workload estimates based on the corresponding ZK-Rollup type, the number of Rollup transactions, gas usage, etc., to price different sequences differently. Prover's Staking and Penalties To prevent malicious behavior related to provers, provers are required to register in a specific system contract and stake tokens. Provers are free to participate in the PoW mining of one or more Rollups. Provers need to stake a certain amount of IDE in the system contract for each Rollup they wish to participate in. If the current stake is below the threshold, they are not allowed to submit ZKP for that Rollup. The rewards earned by provers for submitting ZKP will be distributed based on the proportion of stakes, thereby preventing malicious behavior of provers submitting ZKP multiple times. Provers will be penalized differently for the following actions: If a prover submits an incorrect hash. If no ZKP passes verification, then all provers who have submitted a hash will be penalized. The confiscated Opside tokens will be burned. For more details and considerations on the two-step submission mechanism for ZKP, please refer to the official documentation. The specific figures for prover stakes and penalties may change in the future. Developers Leasing Rollup Slots On each base chain, Opside will deploy the ZK-PoW protocol. Developers can register a Rollup slot with a single click through the ZK-Rollup launchpad, thereby creating their own ZK-Rollup. All hardware resources for this ZK-Rollup are provided by the decentralized Opside network. Developers need to pay for the rental of the Rollup slot, and this portion of the rent will be directly burned. In addition to a fixed amount of rent, developers can also provide additional ZKP subsidies for their ZK-Rollup to encourage miners to provide computational power. The specific rules and parameters for rent and subsidies can be found in the official documentation or the code repository. Governance and Development The functions and performance of the Opside network will continue to evolve over time. Here are a few examples of higher priorities: Adjust the reward distribution ratio of PoS and PoW dynamically based on the supply and demand relationship of ZKP computational power in the entire network. Validator's data sharding and data availability sampling will provide more abundant storage space for the entire Rollup Layer, accommodating a more ZK-Rollup ecosystem. Separation of the Rollup proposer and builder allows the Rollup layer to use Opside chain's validator as the block proposer, inheriting decentralization from the previous layer. The optimization of miners' staking and slashing mechanisms encourage miners to provide continuous and stable ZKP computational power. Application developers subsidize the ZKP generation of their Rollups to incentivize miners to provide computational power. Workload estimates based on ZK-Rollup type, number of Rollup transactions, gas usage, etc., to establish a personalized pricing mechanism for Rollup batches. These improvements will significantly enhance the utility of the Opside network, thereby promoting the long-term development and prosperity of ZK-Rollup as a Service. After the launch of the Opside mainnet, an Opside DAO will be established, which includes a reasonable process and mechanism to jointly determine the future of the network. All updates to the parameters and mechanisms of the Opside mainnet will be determined through the Opside DAO. It is important to emphasize that Opside is a co-constructed economy and evolves over time. Future improvements will be detailed in DAO proposals, explaining how these plans benefit the long-term interests of the Opside economy and each participant category. As the network develops, it is crucial to build an economy that can operate independently and robustly without the need for a large number of tools and subsidies.

God of War Ragnarök is officially set to arrive on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 9, 2022. Fans have been waiting for the next chapter in Kratos and Atreus' journey for a while, so it's nice to know that the November 2022 release date is on track, along with receiving a new trailer release with new footage. GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK ARRIVES IN NOVEMBER WITH MULTIPLE EDITIONS The new trailer appears to be fully made up of CG cinematic footage, without any actual gameplay footage. However, it does appear to offer a sense of the style of what's happening in the upcoming sequel, with Kratos and his son teaming up to fight together against their enemies. Basically, Kratos and Atreus are in this together, and they are not alone. Kratos has truly come a long way from his earlier adventures. Additionally, Santa Monica Studio also revealed that the game will have a Standard Edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, and a special Collector's Edition. The collector's edition was showcased in a video with Thor actor Ryan Hurst and Santa Monica Studio Art Director Rafael Grassetti (See below). Santa Monica Studio also revealed all the various pre-order bonuses for the game and the details of the different releases . Players who pre-order the game will receive the Kratos Risen Snow Armor and the Atreus Risen Snow Tunic (which is a cosmetic). During this week's Nintendo Direct Mini livestream, and Gameloft revealed that the upcoming live simulation and adventure game, Disney Dreamlight Valley, will be hitting Early Access on Nintendo Switch later this September. A new gameplay trailer was also revealed. Nintendo In Dreamlight Valley, players will get to create their own characters to help save Dreamlight Valley, a magical land where the characters of Disney and Pixar live together in harmony. The land has been plagued by a period of lost memories called "The Forgetting," so players now have to help restore their favorite characters' lost memories and uncover the secrets that brought them to the valley. Based on the new footage, Disney Dreamland Valley certainly evokes memories of the classic Disney Infinity game. The game looks like it has a mix of life simulation, township building, along with a narrative adventure story. The narrative aspect woven into the gameplay with the mystery of what caused the characters to lose their memories will hopefully elevate this title and make it a bit more interesting. GAMELOFT IS BRINGING DISNEY STARLIGHT VALLEY TO NINTENDO SWITCH LATER THIS YEAR Thus far, the focus appears to be strictly on Walt Disney Animation and Pixar characters from across various films and television shows. So, there aren't any Star Wars or Marvel characters, similar to later iterations of Disney Infinity, for now. However, having such a nice variety of characters all together in the same place looks like it could be fun for gamers of all ages. Disney Dreamlight Valley is being developed as a multi-platform release. However, it looks like it will be hitting Nintendo Switch first via Early Access on September 6. When we planned our strategy to launch Adadot on , we had dreams of getting into the number one spot. With a combination of careful planning and – to be honest – a smidge of luck on the day, we made it a reality. Check out exactly how (and why) we did it below! Product Hunt What is Product Hunt? Product Hunt is an online platform featuring a daily round-up of the best new product releases, with a competitive ranking algorithm based on interest and engagement. With millions of users creating a community devoted to finding the best new tech and software projects, getting to the daily top spot on your release date can be a huge boon for a tech startup. Why does it matter? Getting to the number one spot is crucial in making sure your product gets in front of as many tech fans as possible. Not only does this (hopefully) increase traffic to your own site and buzz around your release, but it also opens up more conversations around your product with engaged experts who can offer some invaluable insights. How did we get to Number One on Product Hunt? Found the perfect Hunter Hunters are the cool kids of Product Hunt. They are the ones who will submit your product and schedule it for release on the site. Whilst you can be a Hunter for your own product, finding one with a large following and connecting with them to organize a release is generally the better move. You’ll enjoy a launch that benefits from the momentum of the Hunter’s reputation onsite, as well as some extra exposure: all the Hunter’s followers are notified of the products they are involved with. We were lucky enough to partner with one of the site’s top Hunters, Kevin William David, who we connected with through one of our founders. With over 12k followers and thousands of successful product launches on the platform, having Kevin as a Hunter lent momentum and legitimacy to our release that was crucial to our success on the day. Warmed up Europe first Product Hunt works on a 24 hour cycle, one that begins at 12.01 PST regardless of where you or your audience is based. Outside of that time zone? You’ve just got to make it work! Based mostly in the UK, we turned this to our advantage by warming up our European leads first on the day. By the time 12.01 PST rolled around (early evening for us), we launched with some serious forward momentum, having spent the day building buzz in Europe whilst the US was still waking up. We could then turn our attention to the other side of the world… Built buzz Launching without any lead-up or ceremony is a surefire way to miss the top slot on the day. We made sure to engage with our network in advance of the release, letting them know what we were doing, when we were doing it, and why they should be a part of it. Securing interest beforehand allowed us to launch with anticipation on our side, rather than going in cold. Invested in content Product Hunt is a very visual platform. To stand out from the crowd we invested in creating content that would help Adadot be noticed, the most important asset being a short video detailing the software and our goals. One top tip from us: make sure your video is text-centric. Product Hunt auto-plays videos on mute; forcing users to put the volume up to understand your video is a surefire way to make half of them keep scrolling past. Here is our submission: https://www.producthunt.com/products/adadot#adadot Maker’s comment Luck on the day Whilst you can time your release window to land when your users are most engaged, and keep your ear to the ground to know when other big launches are happening, there is always an element of luck on the day, and a similar product launching on the same day as yours can have a dramatic effect on your ranking. For us, this worked out – whilst there were big releases on either side of our day, we didn’t face much competition from other productivity tracking developer tools, helping us to stand out and be heard. Engaged the Product Hunt community Building buzz, putting your product out there, and then sitting back and hoping for the best isn’t a recipe for Product Hunt success. Instead, we spent the day monitoring our channels and engaging with each and every comment that came our way on the platform. Upvotes are all well and good, but the ranking algorithm places a lot of value on comment-based engagement, too. Fostering an environment of lively discussion allowed us to keep the comments coming, and keep people talking about Adadot. What we did wrong Didn’t prepare enough in advance Product Hunt is a 24-hour platform, but the preparation for a successful launch should be in the pipeline months before your intended date. Whilst we spent a few weeks creating buzz, in reality, this should have started even earlier, giving us time to engage with more platforms and increase our reach. We also should have spent more time product testing with our launch date in mind, which would have allowed us to present a more polished product on the day. Relied on new users The time we spent creating excitement for our launch was mostly spent engaging with users outside of Product Hunt, which brought a lot of new users to the site to show their support. The problem here is that the platform places a lot more value on existing users’ engagement, and works this into the ranking algorithm. We should have spent more time networking and connecting with people we knew were already an active part of the Product Hunt community, whose upvotes would have contributed much more to our ranking than brand new users. Analytics broke We hoped to do well, but we didn’t expect to do so well that our analytics broke! Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. With all the buzz generated by hitting the top spot, we surpassed the visits included in our monthly plan and Fullstory simply stopped tracking, costing us valuable analytics that could have really helped us. Moral of the story is? If you’re aiming to be number one, make sure your site is set up for the crowds! Getting to the top spot was invaluable for our company, giving us some useful and actionable feedback, bringing in a host of new users, and even putting us in contact with new investors. How We Released a Product And Got To #1 On Product Hunt

During the recent Sony State of Play event, Striking Distance Studios and KRAFTON, Inc. at least revealed the release date and a new gameplay trailer for the creepy new survival horror game, The Callisto Protocol. The game is currently due to launch in December. The Callisto Protocol at The Game Awards 2020 in December of that year, revealing the first CG cinematic trailer for the game. Now, it's nice to see this new spiritual successor to the Dead Space series is coming along as it heads toward its eventual, multiplatform release date. was first revealed The new title comes from the creator of the Dead Space series and is led by director Glen Schofield. Striking Distance Studios is promising a survival horror experience that brutal combat along with a "deeply human" narrative storyline that's set in an utterly "terrifying sci-fi world." The new game is set on Jupiter's moon of Callisto in 2320. Players assume the role of Jacob Lee, a cargo ship pilot who has been trapped in the maximum security Black Iron Prison. Players will be challenged to escape the facility and uncover the horrifying secrets of the United Jupiter Company. The gameplay experience will require players to explore their surroundings, adapt their tactics, and utilize a blend of shooting and close-quarters combat to survive a deadly, mysterious outbreak that has caused chaos to break loose on Callisto. The game features an all-star cast as Transformers star Josh Duhamel portrays Jacob Lee. The Boys and Suicide Squad star Karen Fukuhara is mysterious fellow inmate who is also seeking to escape. More details on the story will be revealed by Striking Distance Studios later in 2022. THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL WILL UTILIZE 'HORROR ENGINEERING' Per the official press release, The Callisto Protocol uses a design process the team has labeled "Horror Engineering." This is based on how the game will combine elements of brutality, atmosphere, tension, humanity, a feeling of hoplessness. With these elements, Striking Distance is promising that the game will deliver an "unforgettable" experience that will have players' hearts racing as they seek to escape the terrors of Black Iron Prison and Callisto. The Callisto Protocol is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC. The game will be available in Standard and Digital Delxue Editions. Players can pre-order the game now, including a special Collector's Edition that will be available exclusively in the US and Canada at Gamestop and EB Games. These deceptively simple semantics will not only allow people to begin using the blockchain without having to buy any KOIN, but it will give large KOIN holders a powerful tool for deploying their capital without sacrificing any of their tokens. Each transaction must explicitly specify an address of a payer for the transaction, and optionally a payee. The payer’s mana is spent and the payee’s account nonce is updated. If there is no payee set, the payer is used for both. The combination of these features allows a smart contract to specify a payer for its mana costs. New System Calls The key to Koinos is the system calls and we have added 3 new system calls that allow for some very powerful use cases. Those calls are: get_transaction, get_transaction_field, and get_block_field. Get_transaction_field simplifies the framework by replacing get_transaction_payer, get_transaction_signature_ and , while retaining flexibility and future-proofing the framework. get_transaction_rc_limit and allows a smart contract to retrieve just the portions of the transaction or block that it is interested in. Get_transaction_field get_block_field However, a contract may be interested in the entire transaction or block, and the overhead of calling the system multiple times is too much. This is where `get_transaction` and `get_block` are useful. Koinos Authority System Koinos V3 now has the most flexible authority system of any blockchain! The authority system allows smart contracts to override the default authority (a single private key mapping to the address). Once overridden, the user’s contract will be called on a special entry point when authorizing from a contract, using mana (or “ ” in the case of the Koinos Blockchain Framework), and/or uploading a contract. It’s a simple and elegant solution that maximizes developer freedom with respect to how they implement authorities. rc This gives users (primarily dApp developers) full control and customizability of exactly how they want to secure their account now, and into the future. Quantum Resistance and Bridges We have also generalized the DSA (digital signature algorithm) related system calls. Currently, only secp256k1 is supported, but the calls are designed for new algorithms to be added later; first upgraded in-band as smart contracts, but later optimized via hard fork with native implementations. The combination of features means that Koinos is prepared for the future of cryptography and allows users to upgrade as they see fit. Another DSA that might prove incredibly valuable in the future are Boneh–Lynn–Shacham signatures (“BLS”). These cryptographic signature schemes allow users to verify that a signer is authentic which is useful in inter-blockchain bridges. Stack Management In Koinos-based blockchains, basically, everything is happening in smart contracts either in user smart contracts (“dApps”) or “system contracts.” System smart contracts contain the behaviors we want from the blockchain (”L1”) like consensus, governance, and resource management. In other words, you have different kinds of smart contracts, with different privileges, interacting with one another and with the blockchain. There were a number of subtle bugs with V2 of the testnet that have been fixed through simplification of the implementation along with a comprehensive test suite of this crucial aspect of the framework. Extend Genesis Data Capabilities Koinos mainnet will launch using a snapshot of the KOIN ERC-20 to set the initial balances on the new blockchain. This means that the moment the blockchain is “born” (or “at genesis”) the blockchain needs a way of knowing about the snapshot. Instead of simply trying to figure out how to add the snapshot to genesis (which would only help us), we developed a more general solution that would allow a blockchain engineer to launch a Koinos-based chain with ANY kind of data added to its database at genesis. Events and Receipts Events are a new communication primitive that changes how pieces of software (like microservices) can interact with smart contracts. Events are intended as machine-readable messages that are pushed from a smart contract. Any smart contract can create an event through the event system call and events are returned in block and transaction receipts. Furthermore, events are also broadcast over AMQP (the message queueing protocol that organizes messages within a node) so that custom microservices can react to specific events from smart contracts. Events are sent over MQ `koinos.event. ${SMART_CONTRACT_ADDRESS} . ${EVENT_NAME} ` This allows for the creation of microservices that listen for any kind of event a dApp developer can create, but two obvious examples are token minting and transferring events. State Verifiability Byzantine Fault Tolerance is an important feature of a blockchain and that’s precisely what the state verifiability work accomplished! Byzantine Fault Tolerance is accomplished when a blockchain user can verify that any changes to the ledger (or “state”) made by their node are “in consensus” with every other node on the network. Long term, the deltas are blocks. Short term, they are transactions. The trailer features new gameplay footage and an expanded look at the game world, where players will get to portray the iconic characters of R.A. Salvatore's The Legend of Drizzt with Drizzt Do'Urden himself, Catti-brie, Bruenor Battlehammer and Wulfgar. The overview finally provides some insight for the game's story, as a group of villains is looking to collect a powerful artifact called the Crystal Shard, forming the titular Dark Alliance. Drizzt's party has formed to stop this alliance. Additionally, the trailer runs down the game's combat system, and it appears there will be a stamina meter. So, while players will be able to string together, fast and heavy attacks into combos, that will deplete their character's stamina. Players will also be able to utilize Ultimate attacks and "Empowered Strikes," which appear to be able to knock enemies flying across the gameplay stages. Dark Alliance Gameplay Overview Trailer Released Ahead of June Launch

Image Credit: Reddit In 2013, Pokémon X and Y were published for the Nintendo 3DS. The titles were the sixth generation of games in the franchise and well-received by fans, selling over worldwide. 16 million copies Usually, with each generation, the Pokémon Company releases three games, with the third game improving and adding new features to the previous two games. For example, Platinum was released in 2008 after the release of Diamond and Pearl, and Pokémon Crystal followed Gold and Silver. However, X and Y never got the third game. The supposed Pokémon Z never got released. Instead, the franchise skipped the third installment to start developing Sun and Moon (Generation 7). What is Pokémon Z? Z would have been the third installment in generation 6 of the main series of games. The game would have vastly improved on X and Y, which successfully transitioned the franchise into 3D on the Nintendo 3DS. It is likely that with Pokémon Z, the game would have integrated the franchise further into the 3D space with a fully 3D reimagined world, much like the one present in Sun and Moon. When looking at the franchise’s schedule of releases, Z would have been released around 2015, two years before Sun and Moon. Evidence for a Third Installment A third installment in the franchise would have tied up many loose ends in the sixth generation. For example, your defeat of the evil Team Flare and the team’s boss Lysandre was rather underwhelming, with far greater room for additional storytelling in Z. A third title could have also explored the mysterious AZ, the ultimate weapon, and the supposed Pokémon war in the region. There was considerable room for storytelling, and that likely would have been present in Pokémon Z. Furthermore, the legendary creature Zygarde also points towards a possible third game with the Pocket Monster criminally underused in X and Y. Instead, the monster had more prominence in Sun and Moon with different forms. Traditionally with three games in each generation, three legendaries get the limelight. Zygarde was supposed to be the third in Generation 6. The presence of Zygarde in Sun and Moon points towards the possible existence of Z, with it likely its new forms were supposed to feature in a third installment rather than in a whole new generation. Likewise, Magearna also seems to have been forced into Sun and Moon with the Pocket Monster having a European look resembling the region of X and Y rather than Sun and Moon. Both Zygarde and Magearna seem to have been stuffed into Sun and Moon, pointing towards the existence of Z. Although X and Y sold well, usually, a whole new generation of games sells better than a third installment. When you look at sales across all main series games, not a single third installment of a generation comes in the . As with any popular game, remakes get requested by fans, and the company must have felt intense pressure to release a Ruby and Sapphire remake considering its popularity. Thus, the company funnelled its time and money into the remakes rather than Z and therefore had very little time to develop a new game before the release of a new generation. Limited resources and time is most likely the reason for the lack of a third installment, as evident by X and Y's limited Pokedex, the weakest in the franchise's history. Final Thoughts Overall, Pokémon Z was very likely to have been in the works as the third instalment in generation six.
