The same materials noted that "top global exchanges and funds" already had "invested in" Terraform (referring to their purchase of LUNA), and that Terraform had raised $32 million in July 2018 from an "elite group of VCs" referring to venture capital firms. 54. Some of Terraform's offers and sales of LUNA were governed by purchase agreements between Terraform and LUNA investors. These agreements generally entitled buyers to acquire LUNA at a discount to market prices. By selling at a discount to market prices, Defendants incentivized buyers to seek to sell their LUNA into public markets in order to realize a profit. Moreover, for some buyers who purchased LUNA prior to the public launch of the token, Defendants provided in some of the agreements for a gradated token distribution schedule that would control for the flow of LUNA tokens being sold into the market, such that early investors would receive their LUNA continuously over a period of 12-18 months. These provisions controlled the release of LUNA over a longer period of time in smaller quantities, to control for potential negative effects on LUNA's price that could occur with large distributions of LUNA into the market. These provisions reflected the expectations of both Defendants and investors that that these LUNA investors would seek to sell their LUNA into public markets for a profit and sought to protect LUNA's trading price by limiting amounts that could be resold during any given time period. 55. Defendants also engaged in efforts to develop, support, and grow the Terraform ecosystem. Defendants publicly touted these efforts through a variety of forums, including widely accessible online social media platforms, such as accounts with Twitter and Medium, messaging applications with public channels like Telegram, and YouTube. Terraform's stated efforts to grow the Terraform ecosystem included four substantial version upgrades of the Terraform blockchain, adding myriad back-end technical features and front-end user applications, entering into partnerships with collaborators to develop ecosystem features, and otherwise extensively and publicly promoting the Terraform ecosystem. 56. As Defendants engaged in and touted these efforts, the market price of LUNA increased from under a dollar in early 2021 to a high of around $119.18 in April 2022, before it crashed to under a penny in May 2022, as represented by the graph below: 57. Defendants also provided monthly "Community Updates" on publicly available Medium blog posts, which discussed Defendants' coding and development the Terraform ecosystem. Similarly, Terraform employees and Kwon touted their efforts to develop and support the Terraform ecosystem in monthly investor emails that they distributed called "Terraform Labs Investor Update" (later renamed to "Terraform Labs Ecosystem Update"). The recipients of these "Updates" had email addresses that included, for example, an email group investment@terra.money. These emails highlighted Terraform's engineering, coding, and integration of applications to the Terraform ecosystem, among other things. These emails also announced new Terraform hiring for positions "key" to the ecosystem's development. 58. The team of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) scientists had failed to make a successful soft 's surface in 2019. The then ISRO chief K Sivaan was seen breaking to tears in a video after the mission failed. landing on the moon India launched its second lunar mission , which consisted of an orbiter named Vikram lander and a rover named Pragyan. The goal of the mission was to study the soil and surface composition of the moon and to discover water in the form of ice (The temperature at the moon drops to -173 degrees Celsius, so water can be usually found in the form of ice) in the south pole region of the moon. Chandrayaan 2 The spacecraft carrying the rover and the orbiter was launched from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in the state of Andhra Pradesh of India on 22nd July 2019. ISRO was able to put the orbiter in orbit of the moon, but when attempting to make a soft landing on the moon's surface, the Vikram lander crashed on the surface of the moon. According to a failure analysis report by ISRO, it was found that the lander deviated from its intended trajectory and crashed onto the lunar surface while attempting to make a soft land on 6th September 2019. The reason for its deviation was a software glitch mentioned in the report. The mission failed but it was not able to affect the determination and hopes of ISRO's scientists. Though they were sad, they were determined to reach the moon. After the Chandrayaan-2, many countries tried to make a soft landing on the moon including  Japan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Israel. Unfortunately, all these countries failed. The reason for their failure was the unpredictable and harsh conditions the space offers. For ISRO, it was a lot of learning as it can analyze the data from these failed missions and learn by analyzing it. It took the Indian Space Organisation just four years to develop another lander and rover for the Chandrayaan-3. ISRO launched its third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 on 14th July, 2023, at 14:35 Hrs. IST from the Second Launch Pad, SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota. It consisted of the same Vikram lander and Pragyan rover as Chandryaan-2 did. The main objective of the Chandrayaan-3 mission is to land safely on the moon's south pole surface, learn about the moon's topography, soil composition, and craters, and most importantly to discover water on the moon. It was expected that the mission would take around five weeks to land on the moon's surface on 23rd August 2023. The whole months of July and August were tense for ISRO scientists and the workforce. It had been just around three weeks from launch and a new player had arrived to compete with the Indian mission. It was Russia's Luna-25. Russia launched its moon mission on 10th August 2023 at 23:10 UTC from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia's far eastern Amur Region. Chandrayaan-3 Russia had never launched a mission to the moon in the last fifty years. Some people started to think they had launched it to try to defeat India to become the first country to land on the moon's south pole.  Some even criticized the Russian Federation for its decision to launch a space mission at a time when it was engaged in a war with Ukraine which had been going on for a year and a half now. The environment at ISRO's headquarters in the Indian city of Bengaluru was filled with stress and nervousness. The sudden announcement of Russia's Luna-25 launch did not help but increased it. Now, there was a competition between two great nations, two space superpowers, and more importantly two friends. The friendship between India and Russia is such that even if one of the countries fails, it will be happy that its friend was able to complete the mission and it will bring prosperity to humanity. Russia's met an unexpected misfortune. Russian space agency Roscosmos announced that the lander crashed on the moon's surface on 19th August due to a technical glitch. Russia has powerful rockets which take much less time to reach the lunar orbit than it does for India. The people of both countries were sad because of Russia's failure. Indians gave their condolences to the Russian citizens and scientists on social media. On the other part of the world, the West was enjoying Russia's defeat and could not get tired of trolling it and making memes. Westerners do not seem to understand that Russia's failure was a failure of humanity. The Russian rover had planned to explore the moon's surface for a year, collecting various kinds of data that would be helpful in the future for establishing bases on the moon. The ISRO was now more careful as the world had hoped for its success. Only four days had left until the day when the Indian space agency would make a landing attempt on the moon's surface. The scientists were dedicated, they worked late at night to make sure every calculation was correctly done and there was not a single chance of a mistake. The day came. It was 23rd August 2023, the day on which the lander would attempt to make a soft land on the southern region of the lunar surface. The lander has found a spot to make soft land. It fired its four engines at the altitude of thirty kilometres putting brakes to the enormous speed it had gained while orbitting the moon. The lander tried to stabilize itself when it reached the altitude of 10 kilometers and in the next few minutes, it landed SUCCESSFULLY on the moon's surface. India became the first country to reach the darker side of the moon. Cheers filled the ISRO headquarters. PM Modi was taking live updates from his assistants and his smile was like none other when his country made history. The scientists who were once sad and crying just four years back now could not control their happiness. The ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 was the perfect ending to the story which ended with sadness in 2019 with the failure of Chandrayaan-2. The future which lies ahead is bright both for India and humanity. What a noise and a fuss and a chattering and an uproar there was! And what a welter of unseemliness and disorder and stupidity and bad manners! And I the cause of it all! Yet part of the scene was also ridiculous—at all events to myself it was so. I am not quite sure what was the matter with me—whether I was merely stupefied or whether I purposely broke loose and ran amok. At times my mind seems all confused; while at other times I seem almost to be back in my childhood, at the school desk, and to have done the deed simply out of mischief. It all came of Polina—yes, of Polina. But for her, there might never have been a fracas. Or perhaps I did the deed in a fit of despair (though it may be foolish of me to think so)? What there is so attractive about her I cannot think. Yet there is something attractive about her—something passing fair, it would seem. Others besides myself she has driven to distraction. She is tall and straight, and very slim. Her body looks as though it could be tied into a knot, or bent double, like a cord. The imprint of her foot is long and narrow. It is, a maddening imprint—yes, simply a maddening one! And her hair has a reddish tint about it, and her eyes are like cat’s eyes—though able also to glance with proud, disdainful mien. On the evening of my first arrival, four months ago, I remember that she was sitting and holding an animated conversation with De Griers in the salon. And the way in which she looked at him was such that later, when I retired to my own room upstairs, I kept fancying that she had smitten him in the face—that she had smitten him right on the cheek, so peculiar had been her look as she stood confronting him. Ever since that evening I have loved her. But to my tale. I stepped from the path into the carriage-way, and took my stand in the middle of it. There I awaited the Baron and the Baroness. When they were but a few paces distant from me I took off my hat, and bowed. I remember that the Baroness was clad in a voluminous silk dress, pale grey in colour, and adorned with flounces and a crinoline and train. Also, she was short and inordinately stout, while her gross, flabby chin completely concealed her neck. Her face was purple, and the little eyes in it had an impudent, malicious expression. Yet she walked as though she were conferring a favour upon everybody by so doing. As for the Baron, he was tall, wizened, bony-faced after the German fashion, spectacled, and, apparently, about forty-five years of age. Also, he had legs which seemed to begin almost at his chest—or, rather, at his chin! Yet, for all his air of peacock-like conceit, his clothes sagged a little, and his face wore a sheepish air which might have passed for profundity. These details I noted within a space of a few seconds. At first my bow and the fact that I had my hat in my hand barely caught their attention. The Baron only scowled a little, and the Baroness swept straight on. “Madame la Baronne,” said I, loudly and distinctly—embroidering each word, as it were—“j’ai l’honneur d’être votre esclave.” Then I bowed again, put on my hat, and walked past the Baron with a rude smile on my face. Polina had ordered me merely to take off my hat: the bow and the general effrontery were of my own invention. God knows what instigated me to perpetrate the outrage! In my frenzy I felt as though I were walking on air. “Hein!” ejaculated—or, rather, growled—the Baron as he turned towards me in angry surprise. I too turned round, and stood waiting in pseudo-courteous expectation. Yet still I wore on my face an impudent smile as I gazed at him. He seemed to hesitate, and his brows contracted to their utmost limits. Every moment his visage was growing darker. The Baroness also turned in my direction, and gazed at me in wrathful perplexity, while some of the passers-by also began to stare at us, and others of them halted outright. “Hein!” the Baron vociferated again, with a redoubled growl and a note of growing wrath in his voice. “Ja wohl!” I replied, still looking him in the eyes. “Sind Sie rasend?” he exclaimed, brandishing his stick, and, apparently, beginning to feel nervous. Perhaps it was my costume which intimidated him, for I was well and fashionably dressed, after the manner of a man who belongs to indisputably good society. “Ja wo-o-ohl!” cried I again with all my might with a longdrawn rolling of the “ohl” sound after the fashion of the Berliners (who constantly use the phrase “Ja wohl!” in conversation, and more or less prolong the syllable “ohl” according as they desire to express different shades of meaning or of mood). At this the Baron and the Baroness faced sharply about, and almost fled in their alarm. Some of the bystanders gave vent to excited exclamations, and others remained staring at me in astonishment. But I do not remember the details very well. Wheeling quietly about, I returned in the direction of Polina Alexandrovna. But, when I had got within a hundred paces of her seat, I saw her rise and set out with the children towards the hotel. At the portico I caught up to her. “I have perpetrated the—the piece of idiocy,” I said as I came level with her. “Have you? Then you can take the consequences,” she replied without so much as looking at me. Then she moved towards the staircase. I spent the rest of the evening walking in the park. Thence I passed into the forest, and walked on until I found myself in a neighbouring principality. At a wayside restaurant I partook of an omelette and some wine, and was charged for the idyllic repast a thaler and a half. Not until eleven o’clock did I return home—to find a summons awaiting me from the General. Our party occupied two suites in the hotel; each of which contained two rooms. The first (the larger suite) comprised a salon and a smoking-room, with, adjoining the latter, the General’s study. It was here that he was awaiting me as he stood posed in a majestic attitude beside his writing-table. Lolling on a divan close by was De Griers. “My good sir,” the General began, “may I ask you what this is that you have gone and done?” “I should be glad,” I replied, “if we could come straight to the point. Probably you are referring to my encounter of today with a German?” “With a German? Why, the German was the Baron Burmergelm—a most important personage! I hear that you have been rude both to him and to the Baroness?” “No, I have not.” “But I understand that you simply terrified them, my good sir?” shouted the General. “Not in the least,” I replied. “You must know that when I was in Berlin I frequently used to hear the Berliners repeat, and repellently prolong, a certain phrase—namely, ‘Ja wohl!’; and, happening to meet this couple in the carriage-drive, I found, for some reason or another, that this phrase suddenly recurred to my memory, and exercised a rousing effect upon my spirits. Moreover, on the three previous occasions that I have met the Baroness she has walked towards me as though I were a worm which could easily be crushed with the foot. Not unnaturally, I too possess a measure of self-respect; wherefore, on this occasion I took off my hat, and said politely (yes, I assure you it was said politely): ‘Madame, j’ai l’honneur d’être votre esclave.’ Then the Baron turned round, and said ‘Hein!’; whereupon I felt moved to ejaculate in answer ‘Ja wohl!’ Twice I shouted it at him—the first time in an ordinary tone, and the second time with the greatest prolonging of the words of which I was capable. That is all.” I must confess that this puerile explanation gave me great pleasure. I felt a strong desire to overlay the incident with an even added measure of grossness; so, the further I proceeded, the more did the gusto of my proceeding increase. “You are only making fun of me!” vociferated the General as, turning to the Frenchman, he declared that my bringing about of the incident had been gratuitous. De Griers smiled contemptuously, and shrugged his shoulders. “Do not think that,” I put in. “It was not so at all. I grant you that my behaviour was bad—I fully confess that it was so, and make no secret of the fact. I would even go so far as to grant you that my behaviour might well be called stupid and indecent tomfoolery; but, more than that it was not. Also, let me tell you that I am very sorry for my conduct. Yet there is one circumstance which, in my eyes, almost absolves me from regret in the matter. Of late—that is to say, for the last two or three weeks—I have been feeling not at all well. That is to say, I have been in a sick, nervous, irritable, fanciful condition, so that I have periodically lost control over myself. For instance, on more than one occasion I have tried to pick a quarrel even with Monsieur le Marquise here; and, under the circumstances, he had no choice but to answer me. In short, I have recently been showing signs of ill-health. Whether the Baroness Burmergelm will take this circumstance into consideration when I come to beg her pardon (for I do intend to make her amends) I do not know; but I doubt if she will, and the less so since, so far as I know, the circumstance is one which, of late, has begun to be abused in the legal world, in that advocates in criminal cases have taken to justifying their clients on the ground that, at the moment of the crime, they (the clients) were unconscious of what they were doing—that, in short, they were out of health. ‘My client committed the murder—that is true; but he has no recollection of having committed it.’ And doctors actually support these advocates by affirming that there really is such a malady—that there really can arise temporary delusions which make a man remember nothing of a given deed, or only a half or a quarter of it! But the Baron and Baroness are members of an older generation, as well as Prussian Junkers and landowners. To them such a process in the medico-judicial world will be unknown, and therefore, they are the more unlikely to accept any such explanation. What is your opinion about it, General?” “Enough, sir!” he thundered with barely restrained fury. “Enough, I say! Once and for all I must endeavour to rid myself of you and your impertinence. To justify yourself in the eyes of the Baron and Baroness will be impossible. Any intercourse with you, even though it be confined to a begging of their pardons, they would look upon as a degradation. I may tell you that, on learning that you formed part of my household, the Baron approached me in the Casino, and demanded of me additional satisfaction. Do you understand, then, what it is that you have entailed upon me—upon me, my good sir? You have entailed upon me the fact of my being forced to sue humbly to the Baron, and to give him my word of honour that this very day you shall cease to belong to my establishment!” “Excuse me, General,” I interrupted, “but did he make an express point of it that I should ‘cease to belong to your establishment,’ as you call it?” “No; I, of my own initiative, thought that I ought to afford him that satisfaction; and, with it he was satisfied. I regret very much that you should have been put to unpleasantness at the Baron’s hands; but, the fault (pardon me) is your own. How came you to answer for me to the Baron? And what did you mean by saying that I formed part of your household? I am merely your family tutor—not a son of yours, nor yet your ward, nor a person of any kind for whose acts you need be responsible. I am a judicially competent person, a man of twenty-five years of age, a university graduate, a gentleman, and, until I met yourself, a complete stranger to you. Only my boundless respect for your merits restrains me from demanding satisfaction at your hands, as well as a further explanation as to the reasons which have led you to take it upon yourself to answer for my conduct.” So struck was he with my words that, spreading out his hands, he turned to the Frenchman, and interpreted to him that I had challenged himself (the General) to a duel. The Frenchman laughed aloud. “Nor do I intend to let the Baron off,” I continued calmly, but with not a little discomfiture at De Griers’ merriment. “And since you, General, have today been so good as to listen to the Baron’s complaints, and to enter into his concerns—since you have made yourself a participator in the affair—I have the honour to inform you that, tomorrow morning at the latest, I shall, in my own name, demand of the said Baron a formal explanation as to the reasons which have led him to disregard the fact that the matter lies between him and myself alone, and to put a slight upon me by referring it to another person, as though I were unworthy to answer for my own conduct.” Then there happened what I had foreseen. The General on hearing of this further intended outrage, showed the white feather. “What?” he cried. “Do you intend to go on with this damned nonsense? Do you not realise the harm that it is doing me? I beg of you not to laugh at me, sir—not to laugh at me, for we have police authorities here who, out of respect for my rank, and for that of the Baron... In short, sir, I swear to you that I will have you arrested, and marched out of the place, to prevent any further brawling on your part. Do you understand what I say?” He was almost breathless with anger, as well as in a terrible fright. “General,” I replied with that calmness which he never could abide, “one cannot arrest a man for brawling until he has brawled. I have not so much as begun my explanations to the Baron, and you are altogether ignorant as to the form and time which my intended procedure is likely to assume. I wish but to disabuse the Baron of what is, to me, a shameful supposition—namely, that I am under the guardianship of a person who is qualified to exercise control over my free will. It is vain for you to disturb and alarm yourself.” “For God’s sake, Alexis Ivanovitch, do put an end to this senseless scheme of yours!” he muttered, but with a sudden change from a truculent tone to one of entreaty as he caught me by the hand. “Do you know what is likely to come of it? Merely further unpleasantness. You will agree with me, I am sure, that at present I ought to move with especial care—yes, with very especial care. You cannot be fully aware of how I am situated. When we leave this place I shall be ready to receive you back into my household; but, for the time being I— Well, I cannot tell you all my reasons.” With that he wound up in a despairing voice: “O Alexis Ivanovitch, Alexis Ivanovitch!” I moved towards the door—begging him to be calm, and promising that everything should be done decently and in order; whereafter I departed. Russians, when abroad, are over-apt to play the poltroon, to watch all their words, and to wonder what people are thinking of their conduct, or whether such and such a thing is comme il faut. In short, they are over-apt to cosset themselves, and to lay claim to great importance. Always they prefer the form of behaviour which has once and for all become accepted and established. This they will follow slavishly whether in hotels, on promenades, at meetings, or when on a journey. But the General had avowed to me that, over and above such considerations as these, there were circumstances which compelled him to “move with especial care at present”, and that the fact had actually made him poor-spirited and a coward—it had made him altogether change his tone towards me. This fact I took into my calculations, and duly noted it, for, of course, he might apply to the authorities tomorrow, and it behoved me to go carefully. Yet it was not the General but Polina that I wanted to anger. She had treated me with such cruelty, and had got me into such a hole, that I felt a longing to force her to beseech me to stop. Of course, my tomfoolery might compromise her; yet certain other feelings and desires had begun to form themselves in my brain. If I was never to rank in her eyes as anything but a nonentity, it would not greatly matter if I figured as a draggle-tailed cockerel, and the Baron were to give me a good thrashing; but, the fact was that I desired to have the laugh of them all, and to come out myself unscathed. Let people see what they would see. Let Polina, for once, have a good fright, and be forced to whistle me to heel again. But, however much she might whistle, she should see that I was at least no draggle-tailed cockerel! I have just received a surprising piece of news. I have just met our chambermaid on the stairs, and been informed by her that Maria Philipovna departed today, by the night train, to stay with a cousin at Carlsbad. What can that mean? The maid declares that Madame packed her trunks early in the day. Yet how is it that no one else seems to have been aware of the circumstance? Or is it that I have been the only person to be unaware of it? Also, the maid has just told me that, three days ago, Maria Philipovna had some high words with the General. I understand, then! Probably the words were concerning Mlle. Blanche. Certainly something decisive is approaching. This interaction may involve relaying communications, conducting joint observations, or carrying out rendezvous operations. 250 lunar missions Considering this, space agencies have initiated discussions on how to measure time on the Moon. These discussions began with a meeting at ESA's ESTEC technology center in the Netherlands in November of last year. "During this meeting at ESTEC, we agreed on the importance and urgency of defining a common lunar reference time, which is internationally accepted and towards which all lunar systems and users may refer to. A joint international effort is now being launched towards achieving this,” ESA navigation system engineer Pietro Giordano. said “Timekeeping and time distribution are essential for navigation performance and for maintaining synchronization across multiple assets. Time knowledge significantly impacts observation accuracy. Inaccuracies and differences among sources used in measurement time-tagging impart offsets relative to the true orbit location,”  states the conference paper. Observations commonly used in radio and optometric technologies include one-way and two-way range and Doppler measurements. These observations heavily rely on precise time-stamping, which must be referenced to a standardized time scale such as International Atomic Time (TAI). Establishing a universal lunar time presents a unique challenge as clocks on Earth and the Moon operate at different speeds due to the varying gravitational fields. As such, the form that an official lunar time would take is not clear. One possibility is that lunar time could be based on a clock system that is designed to synchronize with Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Alternatively, lunar time could be entirely independent of Earth time, resulting in the creation of a unique time system specifically designed for the Moon. According to , a lunar clock would gain approximately 56 microseconds or millionths over 24 hours. The exact rate will be a function of their position on the moon, ticking differently on the lunar surface and orbit. Jeff Gramling's estimation Other than technical standpoints, geopolitics will play a major role in building the lunar economy. The entity that shapes the internet infrastructure on the Moon will wield significant influence, as it will have the authority to establish guidelines for how network providers collaborate and allocate lunar web addresses. Despite the U.S.'s efforts to bring other nations and space agencies into alignment with its , a set of international principles aimed at guiding lunar and outer space exploration and development, there is no assurance that all parties will agree to its terms. Notably, Russia and China are collaborating on their own . Artemis Accords lunar initiatives For effective collaboration, the international community must agree upon a shared "selenocentric reference frame," similar to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame used on Earth, which allows for accurate measurement of precise distances between points across the Moon. Such customized reference frames are crucial components of modern GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems). Once the scientists are able to move past the challenges, the construction of stations will be open to astronauts’ stay and will be resupplied with periodic Artemis launches. Numerous uncrewed missions will also be in place – each Artemis mission alone will release numerous lunar – and ESA will be putting down its Gateway CubeSats . It is currently Christmas Eve here in Melbourne, Australia where I reside, so I decided to make a bit of a price prediction for my new favorite crypto project Terra Luna Classic ($LUNC). It’s not something I did often (price predictions) when I ran the popular blog because I did not want to be seen as shilling, pumping my own bags, or any of that, but seeing as two things have happened recently; 1 - I sold the blog and am now what you would call independent and 2 - Terra Luna Classic is such a well known yet misunderstood project that there are a TON of other price prediction blog posts, videos, articles, and social media ramblings that this will likely just go over the top of peoples heads. Disclosure: Terra Luna Classic Price Prediction To understand where the price might end up, let’s take a quick look at where it is right now, along with some other quick stats. $0.0001427 Current price: $851,885,019 Market cap: $97,016,085 Volume 24/hr: 5,972,733,140,767 LUNC Circulating supply: A Very Brief History of Terra Luna Classic This current price of $0.0001427 ($LUNC) is far and away from the All-Time High of around $116.00 in April 2022. For those of you new to crypto and anyone else living under a rock or perhaps in a coma at the time, $LUNA the original coin crashed spectacularly along with its sister stable coin $UST, and wiped out around $60 billion from the cryptocurrency markets. This happened in early May 2022. Now is not the time or place to get into great detail about what happened, the hows and the why’s, suffice to say the $UST stablecoin which was relying on an algorithm, depegged from $1 USD, and this event dragged $LUNA all the way down to a low of $0.00004779 from it’s high of $116. All of this happened within just a few days between May 3rd and May 12th, 2022. Investigations are ongoing and there are even allegations and reports that Sam Bankman-Fried may have led an attack targeting $LUNA and $UST with market manipulation tactics, as reported by . The New York Times Birth of Terra Luna Classic ($LUNC) Later in May, a proposal was approved to reissue a new Luna currency and disconnect from the abandoned and devalued UST stablecoin. The original blockchain is now called , and its original Luna currency is called . Terra Classic (LUNC) Luna Classic ($LUNC) A new Luna coin called "Terra 2.0" by investors, has also been created. LUNC Price Prediction There are many varying and wild price predictions going on in the space right now, some are outright crazy and calling for a return back to all-time highs which of course are utterly insane because of the enormous circulating supply which would mean that each of the 5.9 trillion coins combined with the all-time high valuation would create a total worth of $684,400,000,000,000 AKA 684 trillion dollars AKA a number so large I had to Google it (6.844e+14). at this point in time A far more realistic that many in the space are suggesting is probable, should a number of things go right for the chain and its ongoing development is; $0.01 or simply put 1 cent. LUNC price prediction I too think that this is realistic. My prediction is that this will happen by 2025. Some of the world’s largest exchanges like Binance showed support in burning the $LUNC supply which led to other large exchanges including KuCoin, Kraken, Gate.io, MEXC , eToro, Huobi Crypto.com, CoinInn, BTCEX, and many others supporting the community governance agreements. How Much Terra Luna Classic ($LUNC) Has Been Burned So Far? The current burn quantity sits at or 0.5% of the supply. Much of this quantity has been burned with the support and help of Binance. They alone have burned approximately 20 billion LUNC. 34 billion An interesting side note: suggests that getting to a target goal of 10 billion LUNC supply, at the current rate, will take 57 years to accomplish. Lunc.tech Where does this 10 billion LUNC supply goal come from though? This 10 billion supply goal comes from the original 1.2% burn proposal which I linked to above. Time For Some Reality! Realistically, based on current burn metrics the 10 billion LUNC supply goal will take many decades to achieve. Of course, there are things we cannot know, such as what new dApps may come along that will add to burns or other kinds of that are currently being discussed and debated by people a lot smarter than me. crypto wizardry Some of this wizardry includes the option to repeg LUNC to USTC or some other new stablecoin, and it is said that if this can be done, what would effectively happen is that the supply of LUNC will be reversed through the same mechanisms that it was minted when the crash happened. In layman's terms, there was an algorithm that connected UST and LUNA along with USD and BTC in the backend, one would be minted and another burned, but when the crash happened this mechanism flipped itself. The idea to repeg, if it works, would flip it back again. There is also talk of merging the Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) chain with the Terra 2.0 (LUNA) chain. Many in the community are saying that the combination of LUNA (remember this is now dubbed Terra 2.0) with its heavy focus on development and its current infrastructure and many already existing dApps, when combined with LUNCs relatively high market cap, daily trading volume, and its sheer number of community members, holders, and investors, that this could spell a revival never before seen in the world of crypto… …and one which EVERYONE wants to see happen. Because you see, many people lost everything in the LUNA crash, and it was no fault of their own. Many of these same people hold LUNC, LUNA, and USTC. This would be a David versus Goliath, underdog, and Phoneix revival story all rolled into one. Path to $0.01 LUNC In order for LUNC to reach my price prediction of $0.01 by 2025, and based on pure numbers alone, approximately 2 trillion LUNC, representing about 30% of the supply would need to be burned in order for the currency to achieve the price target of $0.01 per coin. This would reduce the total supply to 4.8 trillion and would propel LUNC into the top 10 cryptocurrencies based on market cap, totaling $48 billion. Is that realistic? I think so, yes. By 2025? Maybe. Really, burning 2 trillion by 2025? Trillions were minted in days, trillions can be burned in a couple of years. One other reason for my optimism is the sheer number of staked LUNC. Currently, this sits at 13% of the total supply or about 898 billion LUNC. Staking, similar to burning, removes LUNC supply, but only in the short term as there is a 21-day lockup period which means that those LUNC, which are staked, cannot be bought or sold for that period of time, meaning if there was an investor run toward buying up the LUNC cryptocurrency, there is a very large amount that could not be bought and hence demand, and price, would increase on the available amounts. The community pool (which is what is funding LUNC staking rewards) currently holds 1.6 billion LUNC along with 807k USTC. This amount can of course change due to governance proposals. In SORA, the value proposition is a new crypto economic system that can boost countries’ GDP to the next level, being the XSTUSD just one of the many use cases available. The Governance differences With the majority of users and investors focusing on tokenomics design to forecast a price chart, little attention is paid usually to the governance of the Network. The SORA community is actually using the on-chain Polkadot governance interface for the key decisions about money allocation for productive purposes, while an optimal democratic system is in development: The SORA Parliament. Post-Treatment considerations The idea is that many times our decisions ( I include myself here)  are usually based on concepts and ideas raised by mainstream crypto media. Just after the Terra Luna attack, hundreds of articles appeared advocating for fiat-backed stablecoins, claiming their “safety” and robustness. Elastic supplies are not new in crypto but are difficult to understand when users are biased with the BTC fixed supply vs Fiat Quantitative Easing policies. At least that was the narrative for a little while among crypto bros and Redditors, and posts like these would get a lot of interactions, some of which go along the lines of “banks are scams, better to put all your money into stablecoins”. Don’t get me wrong, earning passive income from stablecoins is 100% a legitimate option, but treating them as the new banks is such an extremist viewpoint. And if there’s one good thing to come out of the massive Terra Luna crash, I’m glad it has made people open their eyes to the risks in this ‘low-risk’ investment. What Are Stablecoins and Why Invest in Them? If you’re late to the party, let’s touch upon the basics of stablecoins real quick. Stablecoins are crypto-assets that are designed to maintain a stable market price, usually pegged to a fiat asset like the US dollar. They have a few ways to achieve this purpose, the most common of which is to have the stablecoins backed by a reserve pool which can consist of fiat or other crypto-assets. There are other more experimental stablecoins that maintain their stability by using algorithms and smart contracts. Terra, or UST, is one of such stablecoins, and we’ll dive deeper into how it works later. So what really makes stablecoins an attractive instrument for earning passive income? Well, consider this: the interest rate for banks is very limited, specifically falling around in America according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Even the best rate you can find out there would fall in the range of 0.7%. In contrast, the annual yield rate one can get from stablecoins can be up to 12%. And it’s the icing on the cake that stablecoins’ value is likely to remain, you know, stable. 0.06% APY The Terra-Luna Crash Back in May 2022, the whole crypto market suffered a severe crash which was a result of the stablecoin TerraUSD (UST) losing its peg to the US dollar. Terra is an algorithmic stablecoin, using a series of smart contracts to maintain its value. It does this by having its volatile counterpart Luna acting as a , which is automatically bought or sold to adjust the supply of UST. balancing mechanism The whole crash began when one or two arbitrageurs bought a massive amount of UST with Bitcoin, then dumped it on the market. This was done on a low-liquidity weekend on Anchor Protocol when LUNA was most vulnerable. Many people suspected this act to be a planned attack by a hedge fund, but nobody really knows for sure. The massive trade created selling pressure of LUNA, so the Luna Foundation Guard had to sell all of its reserve assets to recover the value of UST. But this effort was unsuccessful and the whole Terra chain was still experiencing a liquidity crisis. On top of that, people were panic selling their USDT and LUNA, causing LUNA’s price to go from $86 to $0 in 10 days. Thus, UST also loses all its value. The Terra-Lunar crash is widely considered one of the biggest disasters in cryptocurrencies’ history. Public figures like the YouTuber KSI got his 2.8 million investment turned into $1,000 before he could react, and many normal everyday people who either invested in LUNA or held UST to earn passive income had their lives ruined. The Lesson Learned: No Investment Is Without Risk The Terra-Luna crash really made people reconsider their definition of ‘stablecoins’, perhaps even unjustifiably so as there are many other stablecoins that utilize a completely different method to maintain their pegged value. But those who used to see stablecoins as a safe haven to dump all their money into for that sweet APY percentage should have realized by now that there are many other risks involved in it. For instance, a popular method to earn passive income is to deposit stablecoins into a lending exchange. However, the liquidity in these lending platforms is frequently loaned out on a large scale, so when there is a market crash such as this one, it’s totally possible that some parties are incapable of paying back. Other risks include cyber hacks targeted at a personal account or a lending platform. With regards to personal accounts, it goes without saying that the responsibility lies solely on the individual to protect themselves. Using different email addresses for different platforms, strong passwords and 2FAs are recommended. Attacks that aim at the lending platforms, on the other hand, are way out of any individual’s control. This alone should be a good reason to not put all your eggs into stablecoins because most lending platforms don’t have insurance coverage. In December 2021, Terra overtook the BNB smart chain to become the second largest DeFi protocol with more than $20 billion invested in the network across its applications. At some point, $LUNA sold for over $100 until the May Terra Luna crash that shook the world of cryptocurrency, leaving many in heavy financial losses. Terra is a Cosmos-based protocol The profits from the variation in prices of the Terra Luna Classic token and its sister token the Terra Classic USD goes to the arbitrageurs on the Terra network. Apart from helping the maintain $UST peg to the US dollar, of being the payment method used for transaction fees in the Terra network's gas system. This makes $LUNA a utility token on the Terra ecosystem. In addition, the Terra Luna Classic token can be staked for a profit. There was a 99.9% correction and subsequently, $LUNA dropped to reach $0.00000112 against BUSD, the last trading pair to be delisted by crypto exchanges. Terra Luna had crashed When $LUNA crashed, its with its value diving from a dollar to a few cents. On the 12th of May 2022 by 8:00 UTC, Binance Futures announced the delisting of $LUNA and automatic settlement of perpetual contracts. Binance Futures also updated the margin tiers of the USDT-Margined LUNA contracts and reduced maximum leverage to 8x. The popular exchange platform also temporarily suspended the withdrawals of $LUNA and $UST. In the days that followed, the CEO of Terraform Labs by the name of Do Kwon proposed a solution for the depegging of $UST and devaluing of $LUNA. A $1 billion $UST burn would decrease the supply of UST and restore the stablecoin's peg. In the meantime, more people were buying $LUNA partly because they believed in the ability of the token to bounce back and partly to reduce their financial losses. sister token $UST was depegged The Terra Luna Crash 2.0 Terra Luna Classic would crash again, although this time with less effect. The $UST burn didn't prove to be completely effective in getting the token back to $1, so Do Kwon . Terra Luna 2.0 launched on the 28th of May 2022 and recorded falls in price over the next few days. at a price of $19.53 and subsequently collapsed to about $4.39 some hours later. According to a , there were indications that the token could go as low as $1.20 if it printed a sustained four-hour candlestick close below the $3.30 level. This analysis was based on a Fibonacci retracement indicator. The analysis turned out to be close to the truth: as at the 22nd of July 2022, the Terra Luna is at $1.93 per token on CoinMarketCap. This is a significant loss for a token that once sold for almost $20 and the reason why the Terra 2.0 crashed is clear. Investors lost trust in the token and sold their airdrops, even at low rates. There were many speculations about the crash and fewer people were willing to put their money in $LUNA and $LUNC. FX Street report valued Speculations: What Happened To Terra Luna? There are so many speculations about how Terra Luna crashed, but one major speculation is that there were of the Terra Classic USD $UST.
