DRY, or Don't Repeat Yourself, is one of the most well-known software development principles. Many engineers will go to great lengths to achieve this laudable goal, so a successful programming language must be designed with this in mind. Interfaces are just one of the tools that programming languages implement to enable code reuse. Although there are countless differences in the way programming languages implement interfaces, they all define a contract for interaction between software components. Differentiating itself from the typical object-oriented implementation, the Go programming language implements interfaces in a way that aims to reduce complexity, encourage composition, and enable flexible use of the types. Implicit Interfaces The most impactful difference between Go’s interfaces and those from object-oriented languages is that Go’s interfaces work by implicit implementation. Rather than requiring a type to explicitly declare that it implements an interface, determines that a type satisfies an interface as long as it implements all of the required method signatures. The different types and the interface they implement are only coupled by the code using them, rather than always being linked together. Go This difference offers a few key benefits: Reduce complexity and coupling by limiting the hierarchical inheritance of interfaces Simplify types that implement multiple interfaces Enables you to add interfaces later on when they become necessary instead of designing entire applications around them Interfaces can be created for types in different packages This last benefit is the most interesting and unique. The ability to define an interface based on external types leads to a few more specific advantages: Client code can define how it will use types rather than relying on library code to tell it how types must be used Create polymorphic relationships with types that you do not own or cannot change, which allows you to use them more flexibly Solve import cycle issues by changing the location of interface definitions Create mocks of imported types to make your code more testable No Inheritance By excluding inheritance, Go reduces the complexity that can occur from a deep hierarchical structure. When programs are designed around a base set of classes or interfaces, any simple changes to those base structures require a significant refactor. The alternative practice of composition leads to reduced complexity and more readable code. Composition relies on splitting up functionality among different types and using them together, instead of re-defining the functionality of types through inheritance. Now you can re-use these individual components elsewhere, add more functionality with new components, and easily refactor or remove existing ones. Instead of being concerned about what type something , your code just needs to know about what that type , and luckily the interface informs it. is can do Use Case: Polymorphism Polymorphism is perhaps the entire reason behind the existence of interfaces. This common practice is one of the most effective and easy-to-use methods of code reuse. Since an interface defines a strict contract for how types are used, these different types can be used interchangeably; this is polymorphism. You have the additional side-effect of being one step closer to allowing your program to use different weather APIs generically. Conclusion and Warnings While interfaces in Go were designed with considerations for simplicity and avoiding some of the common pitfalls of object-oriented patterns, there are still some things to be aware of. It may be tempting to define interfaces for everything with the hopes that you can create a more generic and flexible program. Remember that one of the implicit interfaces is that you can easily create a new interface when you need it without making changes to any existing types, so there is no benefit to creating interfaces early in the process. Additionally, since types do not explicitly declare which interfaces they implement, it may be hard to tell which types are being used by your program when you have superfluous interfaces. While there are always tradeoffs and no perfect solutions, I have found Go's version of interfaces to be incredibly flexible, intuitive, and useful. Go Interfaces Are Just Like Magic

Suppose Peggy needs to prove to Victor that she is in possession of a secret without revealing the secret. Can she do so in a way that convinces Victor that she really does know the secret? This is the question at the heart of one of the most powerful cryptographic processes we can employ in identity systems: . (ZKPs) zero-knowledge proofs Suppose for example that Peggy has a digital driver's license and wants to prove to Victor, the bartender, that she's over 21 without just handing over her driver's license or even showing him her birthdate. ZKPs allow Peggy to prove her driver's license says she's at least 21 in a way that convinces Victor without Peggy having to reveal anything else (i.e., there's zero knowledge). excess This problem was first explored by MIT researchers Shafi Goldwasser, Silvio Micali, and Charles Rackoff in the 1980s as a way of combatting information leakage. The goal is to reduce the amount of information the verifier, Victor, can learn about the prover, Peggy. extra One way to understand how ZKPs work is the story of the Cave of Alibaba, first published by cryptographers Quisquater, Guillou, and Berson1. The following diagram provides an illustration. The Cave of Alibaba has two passages, labeled A and B, that split off a single passageway connected to the entrance. Peggy possesses a secret code that allows her to unlock a door connecting A and B. Victor wants to buy the code but won't pay until he's sure Peggy knows it. Peggy won't share it with Victor until he pays. The algorithm for Peggy to prove she knows the code proceeds as follows: Victor stands outside the cave while Peggy enters and selects one of the passages. Victor is not allowed to see which path Peggy takes. Victor enters the cave and calls out "A" or "B" at random. Peggy emerges from the correct passageway because she can easily unlock the door regardless of which choice she made when entering. Of course, Peggy could have just gotten lucky and guessed right, so Peggy and Victor repeat the experiment many times. If Peggy can always come back by whichever passageway Victor selects, then there is an increasing probability that Peggy really knows the code. After 20 tries, there's less than one chance in a million that Peggy is simply guessing which letter Victor will call. This constitutes a that Peggy knows the secret. probabilistic proof This algorithm not only allows Peggy to convince Victor she knows the code, but it does it in a way that ensures Victor can't convince anyone else Peggy knows the code. Suppose Victor records the entire transaction. The only thing an observer sees is Victor calling out letters and Peggy emerging from the right tunnel. The observer can't be sure Victor and Peggy didn't agree on a sequence of letters in advance to fool observers. Note that this property relies on the algorithm using a good pseudo-random number generator with a high-entropy seed so that Peggy and third-party observers can't predict Victor's choices. Thus, while Peggy cannot deny to Victor that she knows the secret, she can deny that she knows the secret to other third parties. This ensures that anything she proves to Victor stays between them and Victor cannot leak it—at least in a cryptographic way that proves it came from Peggy. Peggy retains control of both her secret and the fact that she knows it. When we say "zero knowledge" and talk about Victor learning nothing beyond the proposition in question, that's not perfectly true. In the cave of Alibaba, Peggy proves in zero-knowledge that she knows the secret. But there are many other things that Victor learns about Peggy that ZKPs can do nothing about. For example, Victor knows that Peggy can hear him, speaks his language, walks, and is cooperative. He also might learn things about the cave, like approximately how long it takes to unlock the door. Peggy learns similar things about Victor. So, the reality is that the proof is zero knowledge not zero knowledge. approximately perfectly ZKP Systems The example of Alibaba's Cave is a very specific use of ZKPs, what's called a . Peggy is proving she knows (or possesses something). More generally, Peggy might want to prove many facts to Victor. These could include propositional phrases or even values. ZKPs can do that as well. zero-knowledge proof of knowledge To understand how we can prove propositions in zero knowledge, consider a different example, sometimes called the . Suppose Peggy and Victor want to know if they're being paid a fair wage. Specifically, they want to know whether they are paid the same amount but don't want to disclose their specific hourly rate to each other or even a trusted third party. In this instance, Peggy isn't proving she knows a secret, rather, she's proving an equality (or inequality) proposition. Socialist Millionaire Problem For simplicity, assume that Peggy and Victor are being paid one of $10, $20, $30, or $40 per hour. The algorithm works like this: Peggy buys four lock boxes and labels them $10, $20, $30, and $40. She throws away the keys to every box except the one labeled with her wage. Peggy gives all the locked boxes to Victor who privately puts a slip of paper with a "+" into the slot at the top of the box labeled with his salary. He puts a slip with a "-" in all the other boxes. Victor gives the boxes back to Peggy who uses her key in private to open the box with her salary on it. If she finds a "+" then they make the same amount. Otherwise, they make a different amount. She can use this to prove the fact to Victor. This is called an and proves the proposition true or false in zero knowledge (i.e., without revealing any other information). oblivious transfer VictorSalary = PeggySalary For this to work, Peggy and Victor must trust that the other will be forthcoming and state their real salary. Victor needs to trust that Peggy will throw away the three other keys. Peggy must trust that Victor will put only one slip with a "+" on it in the boxes. Just like digital certificates need a PKI to establish confidence beyond what would be possible with self-issued certificates alone, ZKPs are more powerful in a system that allows Peggy and Victor to prove facts from things others say about them, not just what they say about themselves. For example, rather than Peggy and Victor self-asserting their salary, suppose they could rely on a signed document from the HR department in making their assertion so that both know that the other is stating their true salary. provide a system for using ZKPs to prove many different facts alone or in concert, in ways that give confidence in the method and trust in the data. Verifiable Credentials Non-Interactive ZKPs In the previous examples, Peggy was able to prove things to Victor through a series of interactions. For ZKPs to be practical, interactions between the prover and the verifier should be minimal. Fortunately, a technique called SNARK allows for non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs. have the following properties (from whence they derive their name): SNARKs the sizes of the messages are small compared to the length of the actual proof. Succinct: : other than some setup, the prover sends only one message to the verifier. Non-interactive this is really an argument that something is correct, not a proof as we understand it mathematically. Specifically, the prover theoretically could prove false statements given enough computational power. So, SNARKs are "computationally sound" rather than "perfectly sound". ARguments: the prover knows the fact in question. of Knowledge: You'll typically see "zk" (for zero-knowledge) tacked on the front to indicate that during this process, the verifier learns nothing other than the facts being proved. The mathematics underlying zkSNARKs involves homomorphic computation over high-degree polynomials. But we can understand how zkSNARKs work without knowing the underlying mathematics that ensures that they're sound. If you'd like more details of the mathematics, I recommend . Nevertheless, React alone isn’t enough to build fully-featured web software. An API must also be integrated with the created frontend to provide server interaction and data transfer. We, similarly to a multitude of developers, prefer a Python-based framework, Django Rest, for this task, invented especially for backend development. Despite Django and React basically being two independent structures, a frontend and backend written with the help of each work together pretty well. We prepared a brief tutorial where we tell you how to use React with Django. Why is the React + Python (Django) combination so efficient? Up until frontend frameworks first appeared in the field of IT development, all of the business logic of applications worked on the server side exclusively. The UI only had to display certain reactions to user requests. When solutions like React and Angular appeared, the web app construction approach experienced significant changes. The process of user-server interaction became more advanced. A synchronization of user input with user interface elements started being implemented in the frontend software code. You can't meet all the people, but you can do a market segmentation and create a persona within the segments you want to tackle. Use a pen and paper and draw that person. Pay attention to the age, education, clothes, haircut, glasses, interests and as many personal details you can think of. Now, take a look at the person on the paper and figure out which one of your friends reminds you the most of it. It is important to visualize somebody you know personally because this will help you understand how does the customer think and what does he want. Better yet, you could do an A/B test with that person, before you roll-out your design. Get to know your customers Buyers perspective When you introduce your design, almost every person goes through this steps: Notices the package Asks "what is it?" Wonders "Why should I care?" X-Factor / What makes you an unmatched service compared to the competition? e.g. Available 24/7, organic, eco-friendly, traditional… It takes some time to think of the words you want to describe your design. But as you go, pile them up and identify similar groups. Then extract three or four keywords that you think are the most important. Those words best describe your product and emotions you want your customers to feel. In the end, it the design doesn’t speak those keywords, go back to the drawing board. Having done all these steps, designing will be much easier, since you know who are you designing it for, and how do you want your customers to feel. This makes it so much easier. And this is the power of user-centered design — chances to hit the sweet spot with your clients is much higher. I see tons of AI libraries every day, and most of them are really cool, but I ask myself, will they help me in real life? Yes, babyagi might be the next big thing. But honestly, I don't see anything I can do with it. So what can you do with AI, and what do people usually do? I think in today's ChatGPT world and local LLMs, the use case is pretty simple: Auto-complete content - perfect for Gitroom to let you generate additional information or use something like GitHub copilot.

Do you ever find yourself whispering these excuses to yourself? "When I finally get this promotion, THEN I'll have time to start my side hustle." "When I have more money saved, THEN I'll feel secure enough to travel." If you do, you're not alone. I've been there too.  We all get stuck in the trap of thinking the perfect conditions will appear like magic down the road. Only then, the stars aligning, will we somehow be ready to chase our dreams/do the thing. But here's the spoiler no one likes to admit: That perfect "X" moment will NEVER arrive. There will ALWAYS be something—a new project at work, a sick kid, an unexpected car repair—demanding your attention and energy. "Someday" is the biggest lie we tell ourselves. It's a fluffy pillow to soften the blow of our inaction.  We wrap ourselves in its comforting excuse, but deep down, we know that if we don't make a move , "someday" will fade into "never."  Worse, it'll fade into a nagging regret you carry with you for years to come. now The Truth About Readiness (And Why it's Not What You Think) Here comes the hard-to-swallow truth: Readiness, in the way we typically picture it, is a complete myth. You don't magically become infused with expertise, bulletproof confidence, and infinite resources after some external factor changes. Think about it this way: Did Beyoncé wake up one day feeling flawlessly ready to conquer the world, or did she build her skills, stage presence, and business savvy through countless hours of sweat and imperfect performances? Remember that kid in your high school class who seemed effortlessly good at everything? The one who aced tests without studying and charmed even the grouchiest teachers?  I bet if you dug deeper, you'd learn they were putting in work behind the scenes when no one was looking. Readiness isn't bestowed;  it's BUILT. Each imperfect step you take forges that readiness in the fire of action. The "Start Now" Mentality: A Personal Story Years ago, I desperately wanted to leave my corporate job and become a writer (start a newsletter… blog… anything).  But "someday" was my best friend. Someday, I'd have the perfect freelance client roster. Someday, I'd finally figure out this whole online marketing thing. Someday... Paralysis set in. All I did was watch videos, buy fancy courses, and dream.  One day, in a moment of frustration with myself, I decided to try something new. I forced myself to write a single blog post and hit publish...even though I thought it was terrible. YouTube The next day, I did it again. And again. Some were cringe-worthy, and some gained a bit of traction. But it didn't matter.  The act of doing, however messy, was chipping away at my fear and building my skills.  Within a year, I had enough momentum and income to make the leap into earning some income, selling ads on a newsletter (fast forward to today, the newsletter has 320,000 subscribers). That never happens if I keep waiting for the magic moment of readiness. Messy Action > Perfect Inaction Let's make this real. Let's say your dream is to get in shape finally. Here's the old mindset vs. the action-first mindset: Old "Someday" Mindset: I need to join the fancy gym. I need the perfect workout clothes. I need to find a trainer and get a program designed... Result:  You end up spending weeks comparing gym memberships and end up doing  nothing. Action-First Mindset: It's rainy out, and I'm tired, but my old sneakers are fine. I'll do one of those YouTube workout videos in my living room. It might be awkward, but I'm gonna get moving. Result: It's not glamorous, but it's a start! You're BUILDING the habit of moving your body regularly. Each day it gets a tiny bit easier. "But What About..." (Common Barriers Busted) I can hear the objections whispering in your head. So let's tackle some of the most common ones: Truth bomb: We ALL have the same 24 hours. Successful people aren't gifted extra time; they get ruthless about priorities.  Audit your day. Where does your time vanish on social media, mindless TV, or tasks that could be outsourced? Can you carve out even 15 minutes a day for your goal? You'll be shocked at what you can do with focused intention. "I don't have TIME!" Aren't you more afraid of never trying and living with regret? Failure is inevitable on the path to anything worthwhile. Embrace it as a teacher. Each stumble informs what to do differently –  that's growth happening. "I'm afraid of FAILING!" This is where creativity is your superpower. Can't afford a class? There's an insane amount of free knowledge online. Need equipment?  Look for secondhand options or see if a friend will loan it.  Remember, it's about your resourcefulness, not the size of your wallet. "I don't have the RESOURCES!" The Bottom Line: "Someday" Will Betray You Every day spent waiting for perfect conditions is a day you're not actively building the life you truly want. Imagine yourself five years from now. Do you want to look back and see a trail of "somedays" fading into the distance? Or do you want to see how far you've come because of those imperfect first steps you finally took? The "Start Now" Challenge (Take it Seriously!) I want to challenge you, and I mean challenge you, to take one small, uncomfortable step toward your goal today.  Not tomorrow, not after you research/plan/organize more – TODAY. Don't let yourself off the hook! really Here's how: What's the absolute smallest action that you've been avoiding? (Ex: write 50 words, send a sales email, register for that one class, do 10 pushups) The Tiny Task: Don't overcomplicate it. Clear your space, set a timer for 20 minutes, do whatever gets that task in front of you. Remove the Barriers: Don't judge the quality, just focus on getting it DONE. Prove to yourself you can follow through. DO IT (no matter how imperfectly): You Are Readier Than You Think You wouldn't be reading this if there wasn't a fire inside of you, a voice whispering that you're meant for more.  Don't betray that part of yourself. Take the leap today, even just a tiny one. One step leads to another and then another, and suddenly that "someday" dream is within your grasp. The choice is yours. Are you ready to ditch the excuses and finally start building a life filled with purpose and passion? Then it's time to stop waiting on "X" and create your readiness. Your future self will thank you. Along with the size of the data used to train an AI, the quality of that data contributes too to the final picture. Now, what do I mean by the quality of the data? Beforehand, in case you didn’t know, I base my writing only on the tools I use to rationalize. I don’t go out there and search for the definition of what “data” truly means. I know how an HDD, and SSD work, but not how they transfer data and so so on. Now that I think about it, the quality of the information I write could be improved by knowing these. Or at least new ideas would pop up, regardless of the domain. But anyway, I hope I was able to explain a bit what “quality of data” is. Part 1: Is quality more than a Good/Bad factor? When we define a specific domain like “cooking”. The coherence with which the recipes are described can be seen as the quality of the understanding. Then comes the quality of the recipe as rated by humans (taste, easiness of preparation, size, and so on). So we as humans, got 2 ratings for the quality of the cooking book. How easy we understand it. How worth it is making it. In time, we would become expert chefs and rate books only by the food (based on our family’s interest). Later, each recipe will have its rating and will contribute to the overall rating of the book. Those recipes with a higher rating will be more representative of that book. You will remember this way that in this book, on pages x, y, and z, you find certain good picks. Even if you don’t remember what recipes are there. You will remember by the mere category “good food”. An AI would see those parts as “beginner”/”advanced”/”expert”, “bad food”/”good food”/“healthy food”/“good food for babies”, and oops. Good food for babies. If we didn’t care about healthy food for whatever reason, now it’s more serious. How could we stop someone, who owns an AI without the required “ethical barrier”, to trust what the bot says? I am certain that his little AI wasn’t trained by food specialists. (This relates to a broader picture called “Open-source AI” which I would like to discuss soon. Like it or not, the future is too big to be seen by a single person.) Now… let’s go back to the question. Is quality a good/bad factor? As we can see, we base certain memories on what we define as “good quality”. This way, we can categorize 3 books, each with a certain number of “good quality” recipes in them. It seems like “quality” turns to “efficiency”. What can we say about “efficiency” when it comes to our safety? Our long-term health and well-being? Why does “efficient” sound a little too rushy here? Because here, we need proof. We have to be sure as our health is at play. And I am sure that deeply, we all care about it. How else could we finish that game? Or have another night with friends? We simply NEED some things to be “Good”. A Good which has no Bad. Just because we have the power to eliminate all that Bad. But then, if there can be a Good without Bad, would it be Normal? Everyone can agree it is Normal to value health. But as we (smokers at least) can see, we are a bit under the line of Normal. And yet, we say it’s Good. And what can an AI learn from this? It is Good to give misleading information as a joke. But only under certain criteria. However, bots don’t have feelings. So how could they truly understand what is related to what? No matter how much we try, in the end, the mind of an AI is just math. And numbers can do something peculiar. They can move outside the realm of language. Each word has a certain value. Each connection has a certain value. Each concept as a whole has a certain value. Anything you can construct, or deconstruct, and then their pieces, and even the wholes they form have a certain value. Then… could we train specific processes, like logic, and reasoning on criteria that resemble mathematical rules? Part 2: Could we define “perfect quality”? Imagine an AI that learns about the rules of math. Passing through every concept, idea, interaction, and eventually, the whole of math. The “mind” of this AI is locked in place. It can only follow the steps it knows so far. Then, the question comes. How will the bot learn our language? He might split phrases, words, ideas, and so on, into specific criteria which it has no idea how to define. The input could seem random and thus, the output would be random too. This AI, although it theoretically has infinite reason, lacks understanding. And so, trying to find “perfect quality” we might have found the opposite. Even if the reasoning is perfect, the lack of understanding wastes that potential. But wait, it means that “perfect quality” is beyond this. It requires an understanding of human language to transfer that reason. Then, we could assume that “perfect quality” means both perfect reasoning and perfect human language comprehension. Just like in the case of the cooking books, the “quality” is not achieved unless it’s tangible for us. Well… would that perfect reasoning be tangible to us? Part 3: Perfect reasoning? In times of terror and distress. In times in which our brain acts differently, it is drawing more energy than usual from our internal processes. In those times, we can get hold of multiple weights. We take much more into consideration because we know that our situation is critical or close to it. Everything that we have learned over the years is enhanced by our self-engraved way of thinking. They both combine to show us what dedication feels like. How the willingness to get out of the hole, simply lets you find the stairs. And all based on feelings. Now, how would a person deprived of feelings think? How would that person decide it’s a critical situation? Based on his observations. He would have to consciously keep in mind his current situation all the time. “I have a good relationship with my girlfriend.” - One who never feels this way or any other, would just know consciously “Things are fine with her” and mind his tasks. Instead of maybe saying a “hello” as thank you for the feelings. Indeed, the last action seems less determined than the action of simply minding your tasks. Yet, we know that when two people believe both in something, that something makes them both fight harder. The more both believe in the relationship, the more determined they will be to make it happy. So that in turn, they will be happy and also make someone happy. Feelings are weird. But also have (or I believe) a crucial correlation to ethics. Part 4: What are ethics? I see ethics as nothing more than a concept. A concept of collaboration and common benefit enveloped in well-being. Maybe… a greater idea of Good. For it resembles the whole, not only the individual. Some happiness is expended to exponentially increase protection. The point where this is most efficient is what I define ethics. However, it might not only be a mere point. You see, ethics are always present. Time flows and they flow with time. To ensure a longer period of protection, we have to ensure a longer period of ethics. Thus, constant mutual benefits for all groups are regarded as longer periods of ethical connection. How can you keep a cube together if a line in it flashes? We need all lines to keep the balance between showing the outer part and keeping hidden so that we’ll see the whole cube. Going to 4d (mentally and not physically) might take us to the acknowledgment that on the other side, it looks the same as on this one. And ethics ensures we are safe if we check. Part 5: Ethics, efficiency, and quality. All of them can be tied to feelings when it comes to rating them. So we rate their impact on our feelings. They could also be rated by efficiency. How fast they achieve the x outcome. Have you heard about the efficiency of efficiency? Neither did I, but I’ve been thinking about it. At least to some degree. Let’s see what it could mean. As I’ve said before, in the training of an AI, we encounter different modules of data. “Cooking”, “Fishing”, “Self-Improvement”, “Personal speech”, and so on (from here on you can see the potential). For each module, we can depict the quality of the data. Efficiency of learning and quality in interaction. From a “perfect quality of data” point of view, the efficiency of learning is all that matters. Here, we switch from language understanding to computing power and later, to algorithm efficiency (which is derived from creativity). Now, how did we arrive at creativity? And why is it interesting? Because it dictates the efficiency in both language understanding and AI comprehension and distribution of information. However, we are talking about two kinds of creativity. Part 6: Human Comprehension and Computer Comprehension (I told you 6 is an interesting number.) Now, we can take a break, I feel like we have arrived at a milestone. Why? Because the magic words to get here are: “The discovery of playfulness, of playing with the odds, marked a significant role in the shaping of our world. There was a moment when our brains were able to relax while imagining how we ran all day to find gazelles. This allowed us to collect information that we might have missed during the dozen runs, simply because we were too focused to catch them. Now, as our condition improves we can think more because we use less energy to act when trying to catch the prey. We can even surprise them in a bush or at least learn their patterns of movement.” So one thing is certain. Humans adapt not just mentally, but physically too. We see how the balance shifts from body to psychic and back. Allowing both brains and bodies to run faster and faster. Adapting to work fields that require mental processes and physical ones. Now, how have we trained those mental processes? With math, of course. But there is a catch. We might have seen math our way all this time. We have felt and seen the effects of falling, increasing mental power and all. We believe we understand numbers very well since we can make rockets, self-driving cars, firearms, and so on. But do we understand numbers enough as to create mental ladders that act as scales? Can we comprehend the true difference between 1 million and 1? How about 1 million and 1 trillion? But 1 trillion and 1 million with the condition that the 1 million has a realistic scale based on the 1 we compared with 1 million 2 moments ago? As you can see, maybe our minds are meant to understand specific concepts, but we fail with scale comprehension. And, if understood, that scale would allow us to understand the world around us better. I can’t but say every time I think about this, that primes play a significant role in explaining scale itself. And since I’ve opened this topic: Could there exist a universal scale factor? One which is the same everywhere and dictates the same growth? Primes are growing obviously. The whole idea of prime is that they are divisible only by 1 and themselves. Surely there are indivisible aspects in real life as well. Shapes that cannot be equally separated only if you split them into atoms. Whole concepts that if you subtract even one idea from them, they crash. I find it hard to coin my progress as “overall”. For example, I can start 2 articles based on the same idea and take different routes in each of them. Or I can start a single article, writing and writing what would have been the whole of those 2 articles, but instead of being connected through the same levels of complexity, they are connected by the building of ideas. And even their ending changes position based on the rules and arrangements of ideas dictated by the flow and inspiration of the moment. Which is also a result of the start-to-now slope. Part 7: Universal Scale The start-to-now slope. Maybe… it’s too poorly explained in just 4 words. Imagine you start drawing a straight line on the planet. The more you draw, the further you get from the starting point. You move and move until the starting line becomes more of a starting point. From a certain distance, you can barely see the difference in angle to keep the line perfectly straight. These variables change depending on the space you draw your line on. Whether it is a 2d square part of a 3d cube or a sphere. (I have no idea how to present the 2d space which resembles a sphere) So, the start-to-now slope is the whole information that can grant you the angles required to know the direction in which you should draw the line further. Let’s visit the world of shapes for a moment. Our first encounter is a weird shape. Weird because it encompasses both a sphere and a cube. The sphere and the cube are both perfectly aligned so that the diagonal of the cube is also the diameter of the sphere. Imagine that the cube is hanging its diagonal from front-left-down to back-right-up to the respective diagonal of the sphere. The other diagonal back-left-up to front-right-down should also be a diagonal of the sphere, right? Supposing we turn the cube only in a single axis, around its first diagonal, we could maybe see that there is an opposing diagonal that rotates itself as a whole around the sphere (the opposing edges of the diagonal always touch the sphere). This means that we found the most efficient way to turn the cube around the first axis just by using the outer points of information of the second one. But how would we know that balance was kept during the whole rotation without knowing any other information? By noting that the traces left by the sides on the sphere are always the same. We have a single straight line across the whole sphere. So… we found how big the sphere is by only knowing the length of the second diagonal of the cube. But also the angles of rotation. Which for a sphere is always 360, yet, the length of the diagonal of the cube allows us to see the whole picture of the sphere. This way, we can represent the potential space required for a sphere that is perfect for that cube to appear. And since that cube is always spinning, we can assure nothing will be there when the sphere appears. Yet, for that to be completely true, we have to also spin by the opposing diagonal, setting the second as the anchor and rotating around it. And change the angles on and on and on, on different dimensions (for that the sphere has infinite diagonals in the end). Start-to-now slope is a growing concept that brings us closer and closer to guessing the size of the sphere before its first appearance. Like the collapsing of the quantum states in algorithms which are made to choose the most efficient path out of many. (And this idea kind of brings this concept to another level.) I sure forgot where I wanted to arrive and time is not in my favor but I still love time. As it shows the wonders people can come up with when simply being happy. (Or creative, they are quite the same I presume.) Part (2n+1/2n-1): The end? For me, the beauty of the world is meant to be shared. But it must be so with care. Whether it be misinformation, the possibility of misinterpretation, the harmfulness of the information, and probably some more, we have to ensure our well-being. If we don’t, then who will? As the quantum revolution has taught us. If it’s true, we’ll know it. Else, we simply believe it’s true. Even with 100% of known odds pointing towards it. What if there are other strings attached? That would explain why 100% odds don’t necessarily mean true. And in the end, who knows, maybe those strings attached are simply the reason why it isn’t safe for this information to appear now. This way, they are dependent on the other and will simply tell us to shift our view. To make them safe. (Maybe there is a specific definition of “safety” told by the rules of the universe found in gravity, interaction, and so on.) In conclusion, by making ourselves better, we will be able to make everything around us better. This time, however, it’s not just about humans and human experience. It’s also about the experience of the world we started to create.

But too many people waste this unprecedented access to tools for fulfillment by chasing distraction and pleasure while avoiding reality and responsibility. It's ironic how much progress surrounds us externally, yet how stagnant most individuals are in taking the initiative to actually seize it. Entitlement has bred widespread complacency. We must shake off victim mindsets full of excuses. Progress depends on personal accountability. Inheriting progress means accepting responsibility to compound it. Seize the generosity of past generations as fuel for your own creation. Transform excuses into action. Lift all rising tides through your differentiated efforts right now. The heaviest weight is unfulfilled potential despite an unprecedented opportunity explosion. Fortify resolve beyond comfortable circumstances handed to you. Don't take generational privilege for granted - use it as a foundation for your own progress. “We are living at the peak of human civilization.” I know that sounds hyperbolic. But consider this objectively. You stand now at the highest vantage point in the history of mankind when it comes to opportunity, technology, wisdom, and quality of life. In 75 years, we went from prop planes to commercial space flight. From news communicated by post to video calls on handheld devices transmitted by satellites in space. You can access virtually all cumulative knowledge known to humans in seconds from something in your pocket. Translate between languages instantly via AI. Map travel to remote villages Google hasn’t even photographed yet. But here’s the shocking part most haven’t realized... Despite all this exponential progress around us, most individuals fail to hold themselves to the standards such advancements make possible when it comes to actualizing our potential. We life spanned through a renaissance period that unlocked orders of magnitude more opportunity, tools, and information to enhance performance, well-being, and success... Yet, most trade this inheritance for distraction and limitation. Why Do We Squander Our Potential Despite Having Every Advantage? Make no mistake, you stand at the mountaintop when it comes to opportunity. But most come nowhere near achieving what is newly possible in their lifetime when it comes to fulfillment, human performance, and leaving a legacy. There is an alarming chasm between the acceleration of external potential... And lack of internal initiation to seize it. We’re living through discoveries and technological leaps our ancestors couldn’t even conceptualize. Yet, most use these for distraction and entertainment versus deliberate enhancement. For example, learning mastery was always a privilege of the well-connected or exceptionally motivated self-starter. To be a for most pursuits required intense commitment bordering on obsession. “student of the game” Now, you can access Ivy League-level curriculum from home on nutrition, fitness, finances, starting a business, languages, and more for free or extremely affordable. Yet, how many leverage this privileged panopticon of education handed to them? The mere abundance of opportunity actually has the inverse effect. It creates anxiety. The paradox of choice kicks in. They feel overwhelmed by open doors and unsure which path aligns with innate talents or burns with authentic passion and zeal. We know exponentially more about performance, psychology, wellbeing, and success than prior generations too. But we rarely apply this diligently to transcend the excuses that are holding us back. The pioneer heart still lies dormant within despite overwhelmingly favorable conditions for bold new frontiers. The perfect analogy: you’re standing in a forest, amongst massive Redwoods. You can’t help but be memorized by their grandeur, but you can’t bring yourself to plant a seed yourself. So Why This Tragic Gap Between Peak Potential and Performance? In one word? Entitlement. Entitlement manifests when we inherit reward without risk. Have privileges dropped in our lap without paying dues. Act entitled to outcomes without earned merit. The hallmark of entitled mindsets is desiring results now without requisite work beforehand. A gross sense of entitlement stems from the unusual situation we find ourselves in... We’re thrust into an environment drastically different than what our recent ancestors faced. Like time travelers, we skipped hundreds of incremental steps. We opened our eyes to a life wildly transformed by technology and innovation created before we were even born. Handed gadgets, tools, and abundances like magic. Yet, without direct experience progressively earned through each rung ourselves from the bottom up. We didn’t slowly acclimate across generations to appreciate or have a reference for how good we have it. We just stepped into this future now and accepted it as normal. Numbing ourselves to the heights we stand atop. When you don’t earn through your own blood, sweat, and tears — forced to find opportunity where little exists — you don’t fully respect the competitive advantage and possibilities at your fingertips today. Like trust fund kids aimlessly drifting through privilege not grounded by reality. Without scarcity as a sharp contrast, we lose sight of how overwhelmingly abundant life is now for those taking initiative. We gaze into the infinite realm of potential yet focus only on what remains out of reach still versus claiming all within grasp already. Innovation Alone Doesn’t Elevate Individually Make no mistake, access alone means little without action. Books on the shelf don’t transform until read and applied diligently. Courses mean nothing if never finished. Accountability partners lose their leverage when you stop showing up. As Morpheus reminded... “There is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path.” Don’t pat yourself on the back simply for discovering life-changing wisdom not utilized. It remains inert potential energy at best. Only through courageous initiation do we embody new standards what expanded possibility now allows for. Step fully through the doorway from old limitations into frontiers before off-limits. Otherwise, we cash our inheritance early for distraction instead of investing and compounding gains. We celebrate progress but don’t individually push progress. Squandering our unprecedented opportunity ultimately just increases disempowerment and entitlement. Until we regress despite external progress lifting most boats. As Viktor Frankl said... “Ultimately man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather realize it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.” The path is paved, and tools are available to actualize your best life. But it demands responsibility. Owning our personal progression versus making excuses. Amor Fati — loving your fate — regardless of where you start. Seizing opportunity despite disadvantage. Forging your capability despite circumstance. Excuses or Action. Constraint or Creation. You choose daily. Mindset Determines Outcomes Over Environment Here’s an uncomfortable truth most deny... Your external conditions don’t determine outcomes nearly as much as initiative, mindset, psychology, and choices. Environment influences but doesn’t override individual responsibility. Regardless of noise that’s not within control, own what is, with extreme prejudice. This is called displacement theory — where we overfactor context and underappreciate personal accountability. Consider two examples that illustrate the immense leverage of mindset over environment: Immigrants frequently outperform their native peers in academics, income, and home ownership. Despite less access to resources, networks, or cultural familiarity when they start over, many immigrants radically thrive through bottom-up hustle. Yet, those climbing from nothing showcase immense ambition regardless of environmental factors trying to limit belief in potential outcomes. The Championship Mindset In An Era Of Participation Awards Maybe these realities make you uncomfortable. Good. They are. We want to believe factors out of our control determine destinies. It absolves responsibility to take inventory of decisions and habits within influence that drive outcomes. Blaming society, injustice, or circumstance is easier than reflecting on the dicey notion “If I transformed my psychology and made better choices, I could radically change my results.” But let’s pause here. The goal isn’t condemnation over what have been done or guilt for past approaches. “should” The purpose is illumination, so we pivot forward empowered by truth. Awareness spurs change, not judgment. Transform excuses into energy toward your next phase of actualized potential. Forge opportunity by expanding the possibility of what you believe can be done despite constraints trying to convince you otherwise. Musashi called this having a “championship mindset.” Winners in any domain — sports, art, business, spirituality, relationships — build identity narratives that cut through obstacles in their heads first before ever seeing them manifest physically. Mental fortitude precedes external manifestation. Jelly insides show up as weak results regardless of your potential. Champions hold an almost delusional-level conviction in what they can accomplish if they strategically apply themselves over enough time. They embody the identity of excellence, domination, and impact so completely that it etches their physiology. Confidence is their baseline, not an aspirational boost needing external validation. This unstoppable mindset fuels consistent action towards audacious goals despite hurdles or timelines seeming unreasonable to rest. Great ones know external wins start within long before visible to the outside world. Cultivating sheer efficacy and willpower to turn dreams into plans and then plans into progress. They hold themselves to higher standards constantly. Making incremental improvement daily until the plateau of potential reached elevates baseline. Knowing marginal gains compound over time. This mentality separates those who squander natural talents that the rest wish they had...from those with championship vision who maximize every drop of human potential possessed. Who will you become? Identity drives reality. Claim Your Modern Birthright Manifesting potential starts by taking complete ownership of precious opportunity within your grasp right now. Birthright means an inheritance you’re entitled to by birth. Financial security, status, and assets family members pass down. I challenge you to view the situation you were born into more expansively. Your ancestor just two generations ago likely: Performed backbreaking labor from sunrise to sundown Had health issues we resolve easily today Had way less economic opportunity without global mobility and the internet Access to maybe a few books their whole life in rural areas Die by 60 years old from now preventable causes Just since 1990... Automation replaced 50% of tedious and dangerous jobs Healthcare innovation increased life expectancy over a decade The Internet created millions of economic opportunities Education went from privilege of few to accessible for all Extreme global poverty dropped by 50% The point is you won the cosmic lottery simply by being born in this time and place in history. So before complaining about limitations, perhaps compassionately reflect on how much circumstance-defying potential surrounds you here and now... Then courageously claim it. Sacrifice excuses for initiative. Accept abundance over entitlement. Double down on excellence and accountability. Living through these rare times is a modern birthright. But Destiny's true inheritance must be claimed with both hands despite endless distractions tempting complacency. When I first joined the crypto industry in 2017, the welcome message I received was simple: "We've got Bitcoin and Ethereum. is digital money. Ethereum is a platform that people build cool apps on." Bitcoin Fair enough. I was in. There was no negativity. No trying to push me to one blockchain or another. No tribalism. The welcome was simple but intriguing. It made me hungry to learn as much as I could. Times have changed. With polarity at an all-time high and blockchain disputes raging online daily, the crypto industry has never been so hostile and unwelcoming to new participants taking their first glimpse inside. "Bitcoin maximalists" are largely to blame. The subgroup of Bitcoin participants, some of whom have amassed huge followings, have spread hate, incorrect and damaging information, and the worst possible Bitcoin slogan—"Bitcoin, not Crypto"—across the industry. For Bitcoin's sake, the slogan needs to end. We need a new welcome message. Let's explore why from a communications perspective. Bitcoin as a Religion Offers Clarity The comparison that likens Bitcoin to religion is well-founded; it's one we can elaborate upon to show just how terrible "Bitcoin, not crypto" is as a message. Take yourself back to the times of the early Christian Church. A relatively small (in comparison to the global population) group of people was on a mission to convert non-believers into followers of Christ. With Bitcoin today, a relatively small (in comparison to the global population) group of people is on a mission to convert non-believers into adopters of a new form of currency. The parallels are clear as day—two grassroots movements led by people pouring their hearts and souls into making the world a better place. Now, picture the following scene: A group of early Christians invited curious non-believers to a meeting place to discuss Jesus Christ. A non-believer named Joshua asks: "Why is Christianity the best religion? Why should I choose Christianity instead of converting to Judaism? "Christianity, not Judaism," replies one of the Christians with boastful pride. "Judaism is a scam!" another Christian shouts in support. The room falls silent; the non-believers are clearly nervous and confused. One of them bravely speaks up after a moment, asking, "Well, can you at least give us some context into why you believe that?" He continues, "I'm a Muslim, but I'm curious about several religions currently and am trying to figure out what each offers." The Christians become more rowdy: "You should go to prison for considering those scams!" "Think of the children; what are you doing?" "Christianity, not Judaism, not Islam!" Now picture that same scene, but replace Christians with Bitcoiners and replace the non-believers with altcoin users and Bitcoin-curious people. I think you get the point. Attacking other crypto participants' beliefs, telling Bitcoin-curious people that everything else in crypto is a scam, and shouting "Bitcoin, not crypto" from the mountaintops is no way to convert people to Bitcoin. It's no way to sustain and grow a movement that ties so closely to peoples' beliefs. To bring people to Bitcoin, it's essential that we be respectful of their current activities and beliefs centered around other cryptocurrencies and use sound reasoning to educate them on why Bitcoin is the best option. Act with grace, not hate. Promoting a Lie Hurts Trust in Bitcoin Anyone in the world can Google "Is Bitcoin a cryptocurrency?" and find that the factual, undeniable truth is that, yes, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. There is an endless list of evidence that supports this. Oxford Languages, the source of Google's English dictionary and the world's leading dictionary publisher with over 150 years of experience, defines a "cryptocurrency" as the following: "a digital currency in which transactions are verified and records maintained by a decentralized system using cryptography, rather than by a centralized authority." Cross-reference that definition with the Bitcoin whitepaper and, like magic, Bitcoin is confirmed as a cryptocurrency. Imagine that. To anyone who isn't a brainwashed Bitcoin maximalist, this is the most basic concept in the industry. The first thing everyone learns about Bitcoin is that it's a cryptocurrency. For a moment, put yourself in the shoes of someone discovering Bitcoin for the first time. You check out social media to learn more about Bitcoin and the industry and come across tweets like this: We are still early….. #bitcoinnotcrypto pic.twitter.com/qa3rZcwSfx — Sea₿az (@SeaBaz_) September 19, 2023 Can you imagine how confused you'd be? Would you want to learn more and dive deeper into an industry with such an identity crisis at its fundamental level? Stirring up controversy and generating confusion is no way to improve Bitcoin education or adoption. As an industry, it's essential that we make learning as straightforward as possible. Instead, Focus on Differentiation and Familiarity In claiming that Bitcoin isn't crypto, Bitcoiners resort to a juvenile argument that sounds a lot like bullying or like there's nothing better to say. "Bitcoin, not Crypto" is the "Your Mom" comeback of Web3. It's a middle school-level last resort that causes two fundamental problems: It indicates that Bitcoin can't effectively differentiate itself from other cryptocurrencies. It compares two Web3 concepts, making it difficult for novices to understand. Differentiation There's no scenario in which "Bitcoin, not crypto" is used that a sound argument couldn't be used instead. Using "Bitcoin, not crypto" is a cop-out argument that signals that Bitcoin isn't worth using the energy to properly defend. Worse even, it's a complete failure to take advantage of a moment to differentiate Bitcoin from other cryptocurrencies. If someone asks why they should choose Bitcoin instead of Ethereum, the answer should relate to proof of work and Bitcoin's fundamentals as ultrasound money. "Bitcoin, not crypto" is a psychotic answer to such an important question. Thinking back to my own onboarding experience, if I had been told "Bitcoin, not crypto" and that everything in crypto aside from Bitcoin was a scam, I don't think I would've been so keen to get involved in the industry. Why would anyone want to join an industry where all but one product is a scam? People's questions about the crypto industry deserve genuine, well-founded answers. They deserve much more than claims that projects clearly run with good intentions and a humanity-first mission are evil scams. They deserve a proper welcome and room to explore everything the industry has to offer. That is how we have grown as an industry for years and how we should continue to do so. Be an information resource and let people choose what they align to on their own. Familiarity For a novice, Bitcoin and Crypto are two foreign concepts. Telling them Bitcoin isn't crypto doesn't further their understanding of Bitcoin; it's a path to confusion and doubt. Those aren't emotions that we should want anyone to feel when they first find Bitcoin. Trust is vital to onboarding. Clear, unbiased information is vital to establishing trust. The message Bitcoiners propagated years ago, "Bitcoin is digital gold," was far better than "Bitcoin, not crypto." The gold metaphor is much more effective to spread because it brings familiarity to an extremely complicated subject. Almost everyone understands gold; at the very least, they know it is valuable due to its rarity and commonly serves as a safe store of value. That's how genuine curiosity is sparked. It opens the door for adoption. Moving Beyond "Bitcoin, Not Crypto" The crypto industry's current atmosphere of divisiveness and hostility, epitomized by the "Bitcoin, not Crypto" slogan, is detrimental not just to Bitcoin but to the entire crypto space. This approach alienates newcomers and muddies the waters of understanding and trust. The early ethos of inclusivity and eagerness to educate, which once welcomed and intrigued many of us, including myself, has been overshadowed by a tribal mentality that does more harm than good. As an industry, we must return to our roots of open-mindedness and informative dialogue. The focus should be on providing clear, factual information, celebrating the unique attributes of various cryptocurrencies, and fostering an environment where curiosity and learning are encouraged. Only by adopting a more welcoming and constructive approach can we hope to see the crypto industry thrive and evolve, inviting participation from a diverse range of thinkers and innovators. Inglott, M.D. To combat this often distressing disease I have tried the administration of several medicines, namely, bromide of potassium, asafœtida, valerian, morphine, belladonna, etc., and I have very closely watched their effects, but none of them proved of much use. Having observed, however, that during the late cholera epidemic some of the patients admitted into the hospital under my medical charge slept well, had their anxiety improved, and some of them ultimately recovered, after the application of a strong counter-irritation of the pneumogastric nerves in the neck, namely, between the mastoid process and the angle of the lower jaw, I tried the same treatment on whooping patients, and I have no hesitation in stating that the result was very satisfactory. I may quote one single case of the many I have had under treatment. A boy, aged twelve years, of weak constitution, was suffering from frequent and intense attacks of whooping cough. At a time the fits were so vehement that blood came out of his eyes and mouth. The case was a severe one, and I thought it would very likely end fatally. I prescribed several medicines, and even subcutaneous injections of morphine, but without any avail. I then tried for the first time the counter-irritation on both sides of the neck, and this means acted like magic. In four or five days the patient recovered, and was able to go to school.
