In the last few weeks, we’ve looked at a few different open source Haskell projects like <a href="https://mmhaskell.com/blog/2018/5/28/hnix-enhancing-nix-with-haskell" target="_blank">HNix</a> and <a href="https://mmhaskell.com/blog/2018/6/4/bxit5i954uafn0n4gah3yrzcxnc3q6" target="_blank">Codeworld</a>. This week, we’ll start looking at perhaps the biggest and most important open source element of the Haskell ecosystem. This is <a href="https://www.haskell.org/ghc/" target="_blank">GHC</a>, the Glasgow Haskell Compiler. Without GHC and the hard work that goes into it from many volunteers, Haskell would not be the language it is today. So in the next few weeks we’ll be explore the process of building and (hopefully) contributing to GHC.
