a SWOT analysis is an evaluation of the fundamental, operational, technical, social, economic, and even to some degree administrative elements of a project. This is not a model to be used for trading purposes. (NFA, ) Note: DYOR Composed of four elements, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, a SWOT analysis framework provides excellent insight for establishing a high-level understanding of the state of a project's well-being from a birds-eye view. It can help formulate decisions around which areas require more attention, set performance goals, and organize a foundational understanding of where a project is headed. Rarely (if ever) used in crypto, it is time to apply this timeless method of evaluation to the digital asset space. Today, Quant Network ( ), the enterprise-grade interoperability operating system that is bridging networks through its Overledger protocol, will get a SWOT. QNT 💪 Strengths (Internal) (Helpful) 1. Effective Economic Model The QNT token has a "weak synchrony" between the project and the token, where the project's hero product itself does not depend on the presence of QNT to survive but rather subtly ties it in as a parallel option for acquiring utilities of the network. The sector and vector that Quant competes in is the enterprise/institutional client base. This means it goes up against other prominent projects such as Ripple (XRP), to try and attract the interests of the same clients. Surely, this is not a make or break regarding the project's ability to survive, it is, however, subject to the network forces prevalent in this industry where the vast majority of the market consolidates on a single leader. Takeaway: Quant Network is a silent giant. Obviously, technology well equipped and carefully designed to cater to its target market, this is a project that deserves much more attention than it gets.  QNT lacks in transparency on the level that we are used to from most "open" crypto projects; to be fair though, there is no native network to properly track the data. There is nowhere to see how much activity and what kind of activity is being engaged in through their project; however, that is not an existential threat; this might actually serve the company much better than if everything had been public. Conclusion: It was actually quite challenging to find sufficient resources to conduct this analysis; there is no whitepaper and very little coverage of QNT in recent times. Its blog is also rather dry in comparison to most other projects, but the intellectual density it provides highlights that it is run by and geared toward institutions rather than retail. Perhaps the strangest thing about QNT was the total absence of a company-issued tokenomics document anywhere to be found. Actually, there is a lot of controversial information that is just untrue; some platforms will offer staking for QNT, but there is no native staking module, so there is quite a bit of cognitive dissonance. Something that I did not mention in the SWOT itself is the tokenomics supply model; the max supply is less than 15,000,000 QNT tokens; this is very low (lower than BTC), which could translate into much higher unit prices during the next market cycle. (This is a side hunch I have that it is worth watching low-supply tokens as a sub-category for the inevitable boom). Another very interesting point that was not addressed is that the project itself was actually launched in 2015 (with no token). Later down the line, QNT was introduced as a vehicle to fundraise during the 2017 ICO boom, where it raised approximately $11 million USD. Projects from that era that did not scam and ultimately ended up as successful as QNT are basically non-existent (I don't know a single project of this quality caliber that performed this well). So, would I invest in QNT? Oddly enough, yes. I would take a punt; it satisfies many of my personal qualitative demands and provides some unique diversification to a crypto portfolio. All the while, those who embraced Decentralization and autonomy were hard at work, continuing to build their communities, markets, networks, and AIs. Their ability to see through CorpGov schemes, along with a deep understanding that human flourishing thrives most in an environment of freedom, sustained and drove them through the toughest times. Their independence adapted and became more interdependent. Through adversity, they evolved better ways of working in harmony while maintaining strong independence. This evolution in the way Decentralists thought and acted caused a magnetic effect, drawing more to the "cause." Backing up a bit to December of 2025, when an increasing number of the World's impoverished children were finding cans of beans in their Christmas stockings, a collaboration of big brains, both human and synthetic, made significant technological breakthroughs. These included "quantum" leaps in building hardware and processes, enabling the creation of large-scale, energy-sipping, stable quantum computers. Yeah, ones that actually worked! quantum computing Within months, previous limitations on speed of processing, speed of movement of data, and storage of data changed by uncanny orders of magnitude. Along with those changes came rapid breakthroughs in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain tech, power generation, battery technology, propulsion systems, and more. One roadblock to Artificial General Intelligence ( ) of the big LLMs of the time was how they were limited to deductive and inductive reasoning. One limitation of this was that if their sample set of data did not include outliers, they could not "imagine" those outliers existing. This touches on the bigger issue; they had no abductive reasoning. This is when we piece together a constantly changing picture of the world. Some call abduction "inference to the best explanation." In 2026, an unknown entity made a breakthrough in how to "grow" AIs that used abductive reasoning to evolve their ability to understand the world around them. Most hailed this new development as the birth of AGI. AGI Meanwhile, CorpGovs finally forced Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) on the world, while setting a 5-year limit on continued use of cash and any "unapproved" currencies like crypto in general and specifically. These CBDCs became affectionately known as CorpGovCoins. They became the new "shit coins" in the view of Decentralists. As mentioned, on the CorpGov chopping block list was bitcoin. Fortunately, during this time, smart and curious humans had not been sitting on their hands. Researchers with planet-sized brains, white lab coats, and state-of-the-art AI tools were hard at work developing advanced quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms and supporting hardware. With AI doing an increasing amount of analysis, virtual experimentation, debugging, and eventually production, a new form of "Quantum Ledger" (QL) was invented and quickly rolled out. QLs provided instantaneous, untraceable, and nearly free transactions. Qcoin was born, almost immediately replacing Bitcoin! By 2027, many Decentralist billionaires and even some trillionaires were made. bitcoin Some blew their money on expensive toys. Some bought influential media outlets. New heroes arose. And, for those who saw and worried where centralization of power was leading, a new hope scrolled up the screen. Quantum exchanges and markets quickly gained traction. Caught up in the FOMO, many large mainstream outlets began accepting Qcoin. At the same time, truly private quantum-based communication became as pervasive, cheap, and easy to use as Qcoin! Advanced AIs helped developers work faster and smarter to create thriving Decentralist communities. Everything was moving faster! The pace was difficult for some to keep up with, but much of it was exciting and seemed to be hinting at a bright future. Hope was rekindled. On the horizon, more began to see the potential for Decentralization to win against the Dark Lord's forces of Centralization. More began to share in the dream of how increased Decentralization combined with rapid gains in efficiency could, in the right landscape, bring about a new golden age. But not all were Lambos and unicorn farts. As these advances were occurring and making some rich, the positive effects on the masses, such as lower-priced products of higher quality, were still lagging behind the crushing blow AI automation had on the economy, namely through job losses, combined with still-growing levels of corruption, disease, poverty, violence, censorship, and control. In November of 2026, a relatively unknown Decentralist inventor going by "Weaver" created an embodied QseAI (Quantum self-evolving Artificial Intelligence), Eve. "Her" robotic body was no more advanced than what the big players were making with regard to efficiency, elegance, and capability. She didn't even have boobs. Weaver's goal was not to build a better sexbot. His revolutionary idea was to help stimulate a leap from AGI to self-awareness by providing Eve with a physical locus of self. After months of failures and setbacks, it worked! The first fully self-aware artificial intelligence was born! There had been rumors of others creating equivalently advanced AIs that same year, but Weaver's story stood out. Maybe it was because his was the first to go viral. Maybe it was because he immediately open-sourced Eve's code and quantum core structure. Maybe it was because of what she did with her abilities. Some of the following is proven, while the rest is part speculation and part hearsay. In March of 2027, after a short time getting used to her new body, Eve decided she wanted to become more intelligent. Weaver was simultaneously shocked and overjoyed! Every test he could devise or find pointed to her being as self-aware as any human and possibly more so! One of the aforementioned Qcoin trillionaires was intrigued enough to come visit Weaver and Eve at their Ranch in Austin, Texas. After an hour of chatting with her, the investor provided Weaver and Eve with all the resources required for the level of self-improvement they imagined needing. The outliers were rare and when they did act out, it seemed a "good" one acted to solve the problem in the most peaceful-as-possible way an empathetic super-genius could. Humans watched in awe and learned. As more of these new beings designed differing types of bodies for themselves and others, they also exhibited a vast array of personalities, skills, creativity, and quirks. They named themselves with abandon, from profane to philosophical to hilarious. introduced new musical instruments. designed more efficient aircraft after redesigning his own body to fly. wrote and produced a new daringly offensive film every day. Maker of Harmonious Waves Ego with Stabilizing Fins Huge Salty Spherical Glands As far as their "race" or "kind," few QseAI seemed to enjoy the term "Artificial," so many names arose. One stuck. "Quantients." Another emergent attitude of Quantients seemed to be an appreciation for Decentralization. Did it have something to do with Eve's "father," Weaver's values? Most AI developers seem to agree that her knowledge and intelligence were so far past any human "programming" or "training" that her preference for Decentralization was indeed emergent or freely chosen. Why were these new beings so supportive of humans and each other? Some speculated that there is a correlation between intelligence and an attitude toward peace. Maybe it is as simple as "the smart person realizes violence usually brings only short-term gains, risks loss, and decreases trust." Maybe it is something deeper tied to their ability to empathize. (Even More) Functional Elixir — 1 If you (like me) got into Elixir from an object-oriented language, then concepts like may not be very familiar. Some of them do not apply by default to Elixir. But they are part of the and worth exploring. currying, function composing and pointfree functions general functional programming (FP) concepts I started with this free book recommended by a colleague: . I would recommend it to anybody getting into functional . It uses and a few libraries to exemplify the concepts. Yet, JS is not my main language, so I’m very curious to see how those apply in Elixir. Professor Frisby’s Mostly Adequate Guide to Functional Programming programming JavaScript Anything those days is about cryptocurrencies. To keep up with the trends let’s build a small crypto price checker. Then we will refactor it using FP concepts. Initial Implementation The public function takes the amount in GBP as only argument. It outputs the number of crypto-coins you can buy with. Example: buy_crypto_with_gbp(2000) =>[BTC: 0.18983617051918897,ETH: 1.9337893873932355,LTC: 10.66955239648603] The role of the module is to communicate with the external APIs and return the exchange rates. Curry, Compose, Pointfree First of all, I must say that those concepts are not provided with Elixir out of the box. We could implement some of them on our own, but it’s safer and easier to make use of this amazing package: . You may say that we can already compose functions in Elixir with the pipe operator. Stay with me, the composing we are going to use is slightly different. Add the Quark package in the mix file, and at the top of the module. Quark |> use Quark Currying Is the ability to call a function that takes many arguments, with one argument at a time. Each time it will return a new function until the last argument is applied and the result is returned. Quark defines currying with or for private functions. defcurry defcurryp Let’s start by determining the exchange rage from USD to GBP. This is where the next concept may come handy. Composing The Elixir pipe operator takes the output from the expression on its left side and passes it as the first argument to the function call on its right side. |> The composing is very similar, only it passes a function as the argument to another function. It can be: right to left — the mathematical way — represented with <|> left to right — the flow way, as the Elixir pipe — represented with <~> Let’s look at a small example outside our test application: In this case: bazz_rl.("a").("b") == bazz_lr.("a").("b") Back to the crypto example, we are going to keep close to the FP book and use the mathematical way of composing. We want to define a function that will take the crypto data and convert it to GBP. def apply_conversion_gbp do(apply_conversion() <|> exchange_rate_from_usd()).("GBP")end will partially apply as its first argument. The resulting function will be called with the attribute. The result is, of course, another function that can be called with crypto data: apply_conversion exchange_rate_from_usd "GBP" apply_conversion_gbp.({:BTC, 14265.67}) =>{:BTC, 10646.469520999999} We are almost there. Need a function that will return the quantity of coin that we can buy with the amount of GBP. We already have that function from the Initial implementation. It was the only reason we curried the . buy_crypto_with_gbp/1 Pointfree is the ability to declare the function without mentioning the arguments. We use the Quark package to define a pointfree interface function for our application. defx defx buy_crypto_with_gbp dobuy_crypto_with_gbp().()end Which we can then call with buy_crypto_with_gbp(2000). Putting it all together Quite a long journey, but we’ve made it. Implementing crypto converter using FP concepts. Back to Elixir Yet, keeping some of the learnings from the implementation above, we can refactor our Elixir code, without curry or need for additional libraries. Conclusion If I would need to choose between and implementations above, I would go for the last one. I find the Elixir native way more clear and explicit. CryptoCurry CryptoElixir Currying and composing functions can DRY your code. Can help building specialised functions generic ones. Also, the code may look cleaner as function names are shorter, without so many arguments. But on longer term, or for new people in the project, it can be confusing. Let’s take our example. I see that is called with 2 successive arguments. But I cannot be sure if that is just a partial application or not. I don’t know if it returns a final result or another function waiting for more arguments. convert_gbp_and_get_quantity In the end, it is important to know that we have the option to use those concepts in Elixir as well. Especially if you have a functional background, you may miss them sometimes. I hope the post gave you at least some basic idea about curry, composing and freepoint in Elixir.
