This will give you a total of about 1,300$ dollars per month and then you go to the grocery store and you see a kilogram of meat is $2,500 dollars. Do you see? Of course, part of the economy is coherent with the low salaries, but these keep getting lower every time. The only things that are proportional with the salaries are the public services like electricity, water phone line, gas, fuel, public transportation and internet. That and nothing else. Not to mention you are also exposed to the insecurities, shortages and problems in hospitals and clinics. Venezuela is now today the most unsafe country in Latin America How much is it to buy a cup of coffee? How much was it a year ago? A cup of coffee with milk in January was 30,000 Bolivares and two weeks later it was at 50,000 Bolivares. In February it went up to 70,000 Bolivares. In March, I think the price was 100,000 Bolivares. That price was steady until April where it went up to 250,000 Bolivares. It is still at that price but I don’t know for how much longer. How is cryptocurrency viewed in Venezuela? Since a few years, there has been a lot of people making a lot of money mining here in Venezuela. The electricity is of bad quality but is basically free so it makes mining very profitable. The people who started mining are usually of high class and were capable of buying Antminers or GPUs. As time passed a lot of people have read about this subject, especially younger people. Fortunately, the internet is not censored except for 2 or 3 websites. And it’s also very affordable which makes global news accessible just anywhere in the world. And just like it happens everywhere in the world, not a lot of people understand the subject in general (my parents are one of them). At the end of last year, Maduro announced the Petro coin. The first cryptocurrency created by the government. This made a lot of people do some research and educate themselves on the subject. The propaganda put out by the government says that with only the Petro coin the country will recover. This is said without even providing any further details and fanatics repeat this over and over again without understanding the real concept of cryptocurrency. That is crazy to me. I first read that Petro was supposed to be an ERC20 token which Maduro said would be “ .” Then they decided to as the underlying blockchain. It doesn’t sound to me like they know exactly what they’re talking about. This could be one of the worst ICO scams to date. A central govornment, privately fundraising an ICO, with just a white paper, and their project isn’t open-source. mined switch to NEM Yes. Them switching between ETH and NEM completely removes any confidence in the Petro coin. However to be clear, Petro will be a NEM token created by the government. In my opinion, the main goal is to skip the penalties the United States and the European Union has taxed on the agencies and government officials. And I would say this, today is not possible to buy Petros with Bolivares. And legally, Venezuelans only have access to Bolivares. Speaking of which, what are the “on” and “off” ramps to cryptocurrency there? The way to obtain crypto is by mining, accepting payments in crypto (which a lot of young people who speak english and who are graphic designers, translators, programmers and work remotely do). Another way is to simply buy it in Localbitcoin with Bolivares. In LocalBitcoin you can do both, buy and/or sell. Another way is to receive money via PayPal, Payza, Netteller or Uphold and transfer it to AirTM and then exchange it to Bolivares. By the way the AirTM website is blocked in Venezuela by DNS. This is one of the objectives of the operation called “Manos de Papel” which translates to “Paper Hands”. Is cryptocurrency replacing fiat in Venezuela for day to day purchases? Unfortunately, not yet. In fact, if you have a lot of cryptocurrency or dollars, you have to look for a way to exchange them to Bolivares because by law, stores and businesses can only accept Bolivares. (edit 7/11/18: According to other sources, businesses can accept cryptocurrency). This has become a problem because, for example, 1 LTC is 126,000,000 Bolivares which is about 60 months worth the salary of a worker. So the government with the help of banks (including private banks) started to “analyze” the movements between accounts just to see who is buying and/or selling dollars and/or crypto. There are two types of exchange methods in Venezuela. One is out on the streets called Negro or Paralelo (which is illegal). This one is going currently for 900,000 Bolivares per dollar and it’s based on supply and demand. The other way is auction established and controlled by the government called “DICOM” and it goes for 70,000 Bolivares per dollar. The difference is almost 13 times. Even using the exchange rate of the government, the minimal salary would be 36.42 Dollars and that’s extremely low! Basically, if one of my family members sends me 100 dollars, by the government’s exchange rate I would only get 7,000,000 Bolivares. This means I could only buy less than 2kg of meat. If that same amount of money (100 dollar) is exchanged in the black market, I would get about 90,000,000 Bolivares and would be able to buy 20 kg of meat. This is now coherent to international prices. So the government wants to buy the dollar at 70,000 Bolivares per dollar but don’t want to sell it for this rate (the offer is limited). This gives it a reason for the black market to exist. A serious government could eliminate that DICOM and legalize the black market’s rate. This would make the exchange rate be more stabilized. Some economists have actually said that at 200,000 Bolivares per dollar would make the exchange rate coherent. I’ve heard reports that the Bolivar is now being measured by Bitcoin instead of the US dollar. I don’t think that is true. The people who know and work with crypto must exchange to USD and then to crypto. DolarToday is a website that shows the blackmarket value of Bolivares to USD. It is run by several people who are presumably out of reach of the Venezuelan gov’t. But some people suspect that it was compromised around Dec 2017 because there was a divergence between DolarToday and other blackmarket exchanges like AirTM. There’s been some discussion that the government took over the DolarToday website. Is this true? Until a few months ago, a lot of people would use as a reference DolarToday.com. This is now a blocked website by DNS here in Venezuela. For several months the price was 20,000 Bolivares per dollar all while the prices of products and services kept going up. In January when someone sent a family member in Venezuela 40 Dollars monthly, that would be enough but in March, those 40 dollars were now a different value because DolarToday would still show the rate to 200,000 Bolivares. This made people fix it to the price they wanted, higher than the one stated on DolarToday. DolarToday was 200,000 Bolivares and people were selling for 300,000 Bolivares. Exactly today, DolarToday is at 710,000 Bolivares and people here are are selling for 900,000 Bolivares. A lot of people say this happened because the government took control over DolarToday. I don’t believe it. They only publish the the exchange rate based on the rate in Cucuta (Cucuta is a city in Colombia) where the exchange of Colombian pesos, dollars and Bolivares is done in a free manner based on supply and demand. Marketing companies especially take advantage of this trend by incorporating video content production into their strategy. There have to be tools that take the idea into motion with all great ideas. Video approval tools are a great way to quickly organize workflows and ensure seamless creation, production, and publication of video content. In this article, I will teach you how to make a video approval workflow
using Airtable, Notion, and Appsmith. As a low code, open-source framework Appsmith makes it simple to create internal apps as support for any platform, like the collaborative workspace Airtable. Let's deal with a specific case: The marketing office has to manage a list of videos uploaded on Airtable by an external supplier. This is what the workflow could be: The videomaker uploads a new video on Airtable. The marketing employee views it, writes notes for the supplier, and
changes its status. The marketing head needs a synthetic view of the video's progress
on Notion. The Video Approval App Let's see the app first, then I'll show you how to build it in the next
section. With this app, you can review, edit details, and approve
uploaded videos in one place. In the following sections, I will go through the app's different
features. There would be a record for each video uploaded; we can view these
videos on the box on the left by clicking on one of the uploaded videos. It is also possible to filter the list just using the filter functionality. The description field is editable. With the 'Approve' button, you can approve the video and see changes in
the status. Get Data and Updates in Airtable A new video that the video maker has uploaded shows up on the Appsmith desk to review immediately. After the approval of a video, the information instantly flows to

rollup for 'countRowStatus.' After uploading a list of rows with video files, we need to visit the
API page of Airtable. On this page, you can test the Airtable API and find the CURL links. Appsmith allows you to import the curl link and find a Postman-like page
automatically pre-configured. As an example, if we want to get the record inside the 'sailingvideotable', as shown below, in the section 'List record' of Airtable API, you will find the curl link. Copy it. Then go back to Appsmith. In the 'data source' section, paste the curl link by clicking on the 'CURL Import’ button. Now you see the pasted curl link. Once you've imported the curl link, you can go to the 'Params' section. Click on 'Run' to see the API call parameters. The same can be done with the following connections used in the Video

leave comments List of comments left by users Now that we have decided the layout let's build the app by dragging and
dropping the widgets into the Edit page of our app. For example, we can use the 'table' component to render Section 4 and
7 from our mockup. To configure the components, you have to click on the gear button; on
the right side of the Edit page, a list of options will appear. If you choose the option 'Table data' , you can configure the table
specifying the name of the API created before, in this case, the
getVideoTable API. Appsmith allows you to name the API created, and this name is a variable
that is always available on the frontend Edit page. Then you can map the data that you need, and you will see the list of
data mapped below: You can decide to show the columns as you want, create new ones, and
change the column order. In this case, I decided to show only 'myid',
'Status', 'Name', 'Attachments', 'Description'. Any row inside the shown table has a 'Selected value' property, and it
can be used to play the video in another widget if the related row is
selected. To do this, add another widget called 'player.' Now configure it using the 'selectedRow' property related to the
outgoing data coming from the table widget, where customColumn4 is the
column's name and the URL link of the video. It is possible to show the video description inside the input widget on
the right with the same logic. The visualized text inside the input widget matches with the table's selected row. To do this, you have to configure the option 'Default Text,' shown in the following image. You can modify the text of the description inside the input widget. Clicking the 'Save Description' button, you save the modified text. The 'Save Description' button calls the API to
Airtable to save the modified version in Airtable. You have to specify
it inside the 'onClick' option. updateDescription The button 'Approve' does several things: Changes the status inside Airtable table 'sailingvideotable'
(approve API). Updates the Appsmith frontend (getVideoTable API). Updates the status count on Airtable (countStatus API), create a
notion card (postNotionBoard API). Note: You must specify the related API inside the 'onClick' option, as
you see in the following image. To create the pie chart, use the chart widget and select the 'Pie Chart'
type. Inside the 'Series Data' option, you have to create a readable JSON
for the pie chart with 'y' values downloaded by the relative API call
'countStatus'. The comments section works similarly. You can change the relative status with a dropdown menu widget when a video is selected. You can leave a comment inside the input widget, and finally, you can trigger the API call with the 'Send' button widget. The 'Send' value triggers the API calls in the following sequence: update the status (updateStatus API). post a log record (createLog API). Get the values of the log table to see the updated values (get log
API). To pass values inside an API call, for example, in a post or a patch
case, you can write variables in the body of the request. These
variables are related to the frontend widget properties. And that's how you can quickly build a video approval app with Notion

SharePass The Security Funnel The first thing to remember is that not all data is created equal. With SharePass, businesses and individuals can sort their data into tailored segments based on the degree of sensitivity and privacy required. Once earmarked, the data is automatically converted into an encrypted link guarded by a customizable series of privacy and access controls. Clicking the link decrypts the data, but only once 8 checks are successfully verified. Step 1: Validity When a user clicks on an encrypted link (to decrypt it), first, SharePass’s algorithm determines whether the ID is valid. An invalid ID, which SharePass has not issued, may result from an innocent mistake or a malicious actor attempting a brute force attack. Step 2: Existence Even if an ID is valid, it still may not exist in the SharePass database. That situation can happen because the user deleted the data, their account has been deactivated, or the link has expired. However, if the ID is valid and existent, the user passes to the next stage. Step 3: Visibility Visibility is the first user-controlled step of the funnel. SharePass users are given the option to limit data access to pre-approved IP addresses. If an IP is not on the list, it’ll immediately be filtered out. Step 4: Availability Even users with approved IP addresses can face several vertical and horizontal limitations. For example, the link can be set to only become active during a limited time window (a horizontal control) or can be set to expire after being clicked a certain number of times (a vertical control). The Visibility and Availability checks work in tandem to provide users with maximum filtering capabilities. Data is made accessible on a need-to-know basis and is otherwise blocked by default. The availability and visibility stages conform with Zero-Trust principles and help mitigate most social engineering attacks and dark web threats. Step 5: Accessibility If the data owner wishes to lock all access to a particular data set, the SharePass portal allows users to do so at any time. Once locked, anyone who has made it this far down the funnel stops short. Step 6: Authorization Final user-controlled stopgate. Authorization checks for any preset PINs, MFA codes, or YubiKeys. In addition, SharePass is developing a new security protocol called , which expands traditional MFA to include human controls delegated to a trusted third party. Mutual Human Authentication Step 7: Decryption If all the above safeguards check out, the encrypted data is retrieved from the database and sent to the requester’s web client for decryption. It is essential to only decrypt the data on the local device while maintaining a fully encrypted database. Step 8: Plain Text At this point, the secret is communicated back to the data owner and logged by the portal. With all the available security decisions, the target is not always to shoot for maximum coverage but instead adopt flexibility and durability. While it’s impossible to cover every use case in advance, a genuinely proactive security funnel provides users with a robust set of tools so that they retain control over their data at every step of the way.
