Hey Hackers!

I’m Lucien and I’m a Crypto Writer since 2017. I am glad to announce that I have been nominated for the 2022 Noonies Award.

A huge thanks to the HackerNoon community and staff for considering me worthy of this opportunity. I’ve been nominated in the following categories and if you like my writing, please do check out these award pages and vote for me:

  1. Hackernoon contributor of the year: books: [https://www.noonies.tech/2022/internet-heroes/2022-hackernoon-contributor-of-the-year-books

  2. Hackernoon contributor of the year: Climate Change; https://www.noonies.tech/2022/internet-heroes/2022-hackernoon-contributor-of-the-year-climate-change

  3. The greatest storyteller: [https://www.noonies.tech/2022/internet-heroes/2022-the-greatest-storyteller]

As a writer in the tech industry, I believe that WEB3 and DECENTRALIZED INTERNET are the most exciting technologies of the present because, well, we need to evolve as a human species out of our centralized prison. Learn more about my views on decentralization, value centered TECH and the revolution of money and my journey in the tech industry via the interview below.

1. Tell us about your journey. What do you do and what do you love about it?

I am writing for my publication Spirit of Crypto on Medium and follow the most important new tech / web 3 / decentralized projects daily. I am also involved in writing a pitch for seed funding for a new web 3 project that is, well in my humble opinion, pretty genius. My fav part about this is that I feel I contribute with a WEB# platform to help up the poisoned information ecology, and to make this world a better place.

2. Tell us more about your work. What do you make/write/manage/build?

I love the writing I am currently doing for a seed funding project. It’s called ‘Stake the Future’, and offers a platform where writers, thinkers, and influencers can give their opinion on their desired future and everybody can stake on this future truth! Furthermore, I am also writing a fourth book, this time on Addiction & Men. I believe addiction is one of our biggest hidden problems in society, and I focus also on screen addiction. I also coach people with addiction issues and offer a free Ebook with a 5-STEP method to regain control over your life again.

3. How did you start writing? What made you choose HackerNoon for publishing your work?

I started writing about Crypto when I dove into the world of Bitcoin at the end of 2017. I immediately got sold for the revolution of money and became an evangelist for the movement of decentralization. I’ve been following hackernoon for quite a while, and at some point I decided to write for this kick-ass platform since I always liked the look and feel and most importantly, the hand-picked edited content that stands out.

4. What excites you in tech? Tell us about your favorite technology and why you are passionate about it.

My fav tech at the end of the day is human tech. We need to get together and do good sensemaking, using the tech of collective intelligence, to get us out of the present mess towards a new social and cultural renaissance, that will be the ethical building bricks for our new tech to come. It’s all about values and staying with your inner ethical voice.

My passion is human awareness, and I find myself on a continuous path of growing awareness on my emotional triggers, where I feel resistance, and where I stay open to the world. Emotional intelligence is what we don’t learn at school, but it shapes our lives as much as tech does. In fact, its human tech to develop emotionally as a human. I am always keen to learn more about myself. As a writer, I am also keen on learning to write better each and every day. I also read a lot, and am especially interested and excited about the threshold of tech and spirituality, where they meet.

5. What were some of the challenges you faced being a tech writer and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge is the speed warp of which things evolve in tech. It can be overwhelming at times, so I’ve learned to not follow everything, let go of the feeling of missing out, and breathe in and out regularly. Making nice hikes in nature also helps

6. What are you learning/reading currently? Any recommendations for our readers?

I follow Douglas Rushkoff on Medium and love his books. I love even more The Consilience project driven by thought leader Daniel Schmachtenberger. He published a paper recently on value-centered tech that every developer and tech creator should read. Type his name on YouTube to watch his most recent video’s about the same subject.

7. What is your biggest achievement so far?

To be nominated best Storyteller of 2022 by Hackernoon. No, for real, it’s a great honor and indeed, I see myself as a storyteller, imagining a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible, We need people that bring hope and a bright future vision for humanity, where tech serves us, not controls us.

8. If we gave you 10 million dollars to invest in something today, what would you invest in and why?

In our own Stake the Future project, since the future is at stake. It means I really believe in this project, and web 3 and staking, and the future in general. Yeah, I am optimistic, tech is going to play a major role in becoming more connected happy humans when tech is value-centered. Our project is.

9. What advice would you give to someone just starting in this field?

Follow your passion., Read thought leaders, show up daily so your writing will improve, make small incremental steps, dont let your mind and focus be hijacked, keep away from the dopamine thrills, and create kick ass your own style work that lightens up this place.

10. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Staying and being humble. Once I went viral on Medium and I ejected myself to the moon, just to find it was a lonely place. It’s all about bringing value as a writer to my readers, inspiring, motivating and put my light on burning issues, and realizing that the world has become too complex of a place to grasp by one mind. We need to get together and do good sensemaking, using the tech of collective intelligence, to get us out of the present mess towards a new social and cultural renaissance, that will be the ethical building bricks for our new tech to come. It’s all about values and staying with your inner ethical voice, That’s what I’ve learned from my master.

That was all from our side, feel free to add anything else that you want to add for our readers.

Voting opens on 15th August 2022.
