Bitcoin Pizza Day marks the first known commercial transaction using Bitcoin. On this day in 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas. Less than 5% of Bitcoin users have used it for real-world transactions. For Bitcoin to become mainstream, it needs to be widely accepted and used for everyday transactions.
