Too Long; Didn't Read

"Biker Mice From Mars" is a game you can finish in the afternoon. Each character has a unique power and individual stats. You can choose one of the six characters and also play in two-player mode with a split screen. There are power-ups, like Mario Kart boxes, where you can earn more money.

This review is much more about my feelings about this game than technical details and scores.

Through 2023, I didn't have much time to play, but I found more time than in the last five years. Adulthood demands a lot from us, but finding a balance is vital; I hope to achieve that balance in 2024.

I haven't played games for so long, with a few exceptions like Red Dead Redemption 2, Metal Gear Solid V, and a few other games, but I generally don’t have any connection with the latest releases of the new generation games.

So, to return to playing video games, I have the tough decision to make: what game should I play? And the idea I had was, "I should start again with the first video games I liked."

Old SNES box

As a kid, I always had a fascination with motorcycles, which didn't continue into my adult life. But at the height of my 6 to 8 years, what I liked was motorcycles. Despite that, there weren't many motorcycle racing games, let alone good ones, in the video game rental stores in my town.

One fine day, I came across a game based on the same cartoon I watched on many mornings, "Biker Mice From Mars," and right away, that made my eyes light up. It was the combination of Videogame + Cartoons + Motorcycles; a child couldn't ask for much more than that.

The starting Grid

Revisiting this game twenty years later brought me almost the same joy as back then, although I realized that it's much easier and shorter than I remembered. Indeed, I wasn't the master of my own time to spend an entire day playing video games without hearing, "Are you still stuck on that video game, boy? Go play outside!"

"Biker Mice From Mars" is a game you can finish in the afternoon. It has a shop where you can upgrade your character's motorcycle. Each character has a unique power and individual stats. Some are faster, others are more stable, and so on. You can choose one of the six characters and also play in two-player mode with a split screen.

Another thing, there are power-ups, like Mario Kart boxes, where you can earn more money (to use in the shop) or even trigger an earthquake.

"Biker Mice From Mars" is a game I recommend to everyone, from beginners to advanced players. Despite the simplicity, the colours, patterns, and characters, what he really delivers to you is: fun.

For more games like "Biker Mice from Mars," that does what every game should do: entertain much more than just keep you occupied.

A old video game stores

It's not a five-star or Triple-A game, but it doesn't aim to be, nor does it need to be. Above all, it's a fun game; it makes the 6-year-old in me happy.
