The internet has had a significant impact on our lives. It has changed the way we communicate, how we get our news, and how we do our jobs. It is difficult to imagine what life would be like without the internet. For some people, it's hard to remember what life was like before the internet.

Before the internet, people communicated through letters and phone calls. Nowadays, we use social media as a way of communication. The internet has also changed how we work and do business. For example, e-commerce is now a very popular option for doing business because it is cheaper to start than buying a physical store.

There is no denying that the internet has changed our lives for better or for worse. It is not a coincidence that the word "internet" is derived from an ancient Sanskrit word meaning "to weave". The internet is a fabric of human life, and its threads are everywhere.

The internet has become a part of our life in many ways: it connects us with others, it gives us access to knowledge, and it makes communication faster and easier than ever before. The internet offers so many opportunities for people to explore their creativity as well as their interests.

Before the Internet Age

Before the Internet Age, people had to rely on newspapers and TV for their news. But now we can get the latest news from our phones or computers in a matter of seconds. Picturing life before the internet age is now hard for many who didn’t live in that time, because life is so different now. Things can happen in an instant.

Shopping

Before the internet, there was nothing like online shopping. Anyone that needed to get goods would have to buy them at your local store or a store in another City. They would need to physically walk into a location, select the items they want and then take it to a till to check-out. People were limited to the goods they could see physically or goods that were in neighboring towns to them. Now, anyone can shop online from anywhere using sites like Amazon and Aliexpress.

Music and Movies

Before the internet, music was consumed via Cassette tapes and Vinyl CDs. To listen to the music you enjoy, you couldn’t do so at the tap of a button. You also couldn’t explore other kinds of music without going to a music store near you - if there is. People would also listen to and discover music on the radio - you listened to whatever was on.

For movies, you’ll have to look for a store that rents out DVDs. You may get these DVDs via post mail or from your local film store.

Selfies

What are those? There was nothing like a selfie that you posted on Social Media immediately before the internet. You could take pictures using a camera but you’d have to find a studio to develop the film and then to get it printed.

After the Internet Age

The Internet has made our lives easier, more convenient, and more enjoyable.

As more people turn to social media for their news, they are getting information in bite-sized chunks from a variety of sources. This has led to an increase in short-form writing that is often less nuanced than long-form writing.

The Internet has already changed our world in ways that are still not fully understood. It has allowed us to communicate with anyone, no matter where they are in the world, at any time. It has also allowed us to connect with people who share similar interests and hobbies, as well as learn from experts from all over the world. It is not hard to imagine that these changes are just a small part of what is yet to come for internet connectivity in our lives.

You can now take a selfie using your mobile phone and post it on social media sites like Facebook, twitter or Instagram instantly without waiting to develop or print your pictures in a studio.

Thanks to the internet, anyone can stream music, videos, and movies on demand! This means that you no longer have to wait to receive your DVD by E-mail or to visit a local store, you can simply login to a platform like Netflix or Spotify to get the movies and music you want respectively! Not only can you access them, you can access them on demand in other words - anytime you want!

These are some examples of what the internet has opened to us. There are so many other examples of what the internet is allowing us to do. With AI and Machine Learning, over the next decade, the internet will allow us to do much more.
