Scalability is an element of the cloud and is the main driver of its popularity in the business sector. Cloud scalability refers to the ability of increasing or decreasing the IT resources to meet changing needs. Elasticity is the ability to actively increase or decrease the response to sudden changes in site structure, such as changes in traffic for a website. Scalable cloud infrastructures are activated through cloud virtualization. Cloud computing is revolutionizing the IT infrastructure, giving even small businesses access to powerful computers that were only available to their biggest competitors.
