Too Long; Didn't Read
Web3 is a new generation of the internet that runs on public blockchains.
The term was coined by Ethereum co-founder and Polygon founder Gavin Wood in 2014.
It is very different from the Web 3 version conceptualized by Tim Berners-Lee in 1999.
In Web3, users experience true peer-to-peer connections as Web3 distributes data across all participating network nodes.
With the help of blockchain technology, users get more freedom, privacy and access to the same services without fear of their data being used without their permission.
