Han Be

Han Be is an academic professor of engineering physics whose career spans from the cleanrooms of IBM Research–Rüschlikon to the polar field camps of Antarctica and Summit Station in Greenland. He works at the intersection of high‑performance technology and human factors, designing, testing, and teaching systems that must function reliably under real‑world stress. His enduring passion is tackling hard problems with living, breathing stakeholders—whether operators in extreme environments or students in the lab. Under the pen name Han Be, he also writes hard science fiction as a way to explore where technological development may take human civilization. To date, three novels have been published on Amazon, including The Red Leap, The Real Drama, and Iron Blood.
