Too Long; Didn't Read

In a Productivity Spotlight interview, I learned that taking a walk right after you wake up improves your productivity for the day. I wanted to do a quick dive into the science behind why that occurs. Studies have found that oxidative stress accumulates in your brain and leads to a number of cognitive impairments called brain fog. By walking in the morning you jump start your lymph system, which in turn expels cellular waste from your brain. By the time you get back to your desk, you will have cleared that brain fog and be ready to get down to work.
