They are a sequence of records, each with its own unique identifier. Revell: Logs are essential to handling increased volumes of data and bringing coherence to distributed systems. He says they can be used in disaster recovery or streaming live changes to a read-only replica. He adds that they can help build more resilient systems using tools such as Apache Kafka.
