So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests. I’m Olayimika from Kwara State, Nigeria. I bagged a law degree from Ahmadu Bello University in 2017 and I was called to the Nigerian bar in 2018. In addition to being a lawyer, I’m a self-trained technology writer. As a lawyer, I specialize in IP law, and as a tech writer, I’m genuinely interested in how AI, blockchain, and a slew of other emerging technologies are changing our world. My daily life basically consists of reading law reports, exploring the brave new world, and writing for blockchain-related projects such as SolPunks NFT, MoonDAO, NEKTR, CardaLordzNFT SolSpectres, etc. Writing has been my major route to technology and my career in technical writing began in 2020 when I cofounded physix with US-based inventor Dan Smith. Physix is an AI program designed to teach computer compassion and the human thought process. I wrote an article on NEKTR pro-medical cannabis NFT which was recently published on Yahoo Finance ( ) and in December 2021 I was gifted an elite Solpunk NFT by the SolPunks council for publishing a series of articles tracing the origin of SolPunks and establishing the thesis that the SolPunks NFT collection was the precursor to the NFT revolution on the Solana blockchain. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nektr-set-become-worlds-first-184900777.html (The right-click & save version of the SolPunk NFT I was gifted by the SolPunks council) The crypto space is my digital world and I spend quality time daily interacting with like-minded people from different parts of the world on Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about? I was filled with joy when I received an email from Hackernoon’s editorial team informing me about their desire to mark my latest article as a top story, and when it finally graced the homepage as the number top story of the day, I was all the more excited. I have always wanted to help the SolPunks NFT community to tell its own story as an OG on the Solana blockchain. The publication of my article was, as a matter of fact, a major step that brought me closer to reaching a larger audience. The key point about it is that SolPunks is the first NFT collection that minted out on Solanart and the simple conclusion is that the NFT revolution on the Solana blockchain is “thanks to the SolPunks NFT collection”. There is no better time to write about SolPunks than now when Solana is waiting in the wings to take Ethereum’s place in the crypto world. I believe that there is a whole lot more to Solana being dubbed as the ‘‘Ethereum killer”. It’s about time we realized that Solana’s success story transcends its low gas fee which has given it a competitive edge over Ethereum. My aim is to create a clear picture of how Solana plotted its path to success by leveraging SolPunks to build Solanart, its first NFT marketplace. If I were to use a heatmap to illustrate how far and wide I have journeyed in the blockchain world, it would be so simple to say that I’m well on the path to becoming an expert writer on a range of trends like NFT, DAO, crypto education, etc. I published  the first article on MoonDAO, which is now the third-highest funded DAO on JuiceBox. MoonDAO is set to become the first decentralised space travel and exploration agency in the world after it raised $8.3 million in funding. As a member, I hold $Mooney, its native token, and my contribution has been in the area of media and publicity. I enjoy a daily routine of writing and learning, and I personally believe that writing about blockchain-related trends can help to increase one’s versatility. Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?) I have fire in my bones. I’m increasingly becoming used to writing and reading all day when I’m not practicing law. I keep a checklist which helps me to keep track of my writing activities and because I am involved with many projects I am always conscious of my pace. Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing? Every tech writer wants to operate at an elite level which is the stage where you are famous for being a quality writer. My biggest challenge is perhaps what is commonly known is as writer’s block and I think it’s frankly natural to struggle to put pen to paper on a bad day. What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career? I am hoping to launch my first NFT collection and I’m looking forward to becoming a prolific blockchain author. Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice? I’m increasingly becoming used to uttering soliloquies. Do you have a non-tech-related hobby? If yes, what is it? I love traveling and listening to music. I want to travel around the world and experience different cultures. And, I’m a fan of good music as long as it is euphonious and educative. What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next? My best is yet to come. I hope to continue to write as long as my motivation doesn’t cease.
