“Things are only impossible until they’re not.”–Captain Jean-Luc Picard

Congratulations Captain! 🎉 🎉🎉 You have won the following award/awards:

What does it mean for you to win this title?

Winning the title of "Contributor of the Year 2022 - React.js" is an honor for me. It means that my contributions to the React.js ecosystem have been recognized and valued by my peers and the community as a whole.

To me, winning this title is a testament to the hard work and dedication I have put into learning and improving my skills as a React developer.

It is also a validation of my efforts to contribute back to the community by sharing my knowledge, experience, and code through blog posts, talks, and open-source contributions.

In addition to personal accomplishment and recognition, winning this title is also a great opportunity for me to inspire and motivate others to get involved in the React.js community. I believe that contributing to open-source projects and sharing knowledge is a rewarding and fulfilling way to learn and grow as a developer, and I am excited to use this platform to encourage others to do the same.

How do you or your company intend to embrace the responsibility of this title in 2023?

I would embrace the responsibility of this title in 2023 by continuing to contribute to the React.js community in meaningful and impactful ways.

Ways I might do this include:

  • Staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the React ecosystem and sharing my knowledge and insights through blog posts, talks, and other forms of communication.

  • Maintaining and improving any open source projects or libraries that I have contributed to, and responding to issues and pull requests in a timely manner.

  • Participating in community events and forums, such as meetups and conferences, to engage with other React developers and help build and strengthen the community.

  • Encouraging and supporting others who are interested in getting involved in the React.js community, whether as new contributors or simply as learners looking to improve their skills.

As "Contributor of the Year 2022 - React" I would to use this title as a way to give back to the community and help it continue to grow and thrive in the coming years.

What goals are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2023 (whether it be through company initiatives or your personal journey)?

In 2023, I am looking forward to accomplishing several goals related to my professional growth and development as a Front-End Engineer.

Goals I have in mind include:

  • Deepening my understanding of React.js and staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the ecosystem. My current company allows me to grow in front-end development and understand React.js deeper, and I am eager to take advantage of this opportunity to become an expert in the framework and JavaScript language.

  • Building on my experience as a contributor to open source projects by contributing more frequently and to a wider range of projects.

  • Participating in more community events, such as meetups and conferences, to share my knowledge and experience with others and continue to learn from my peers.

  • Seeking out new opportunities for professional growth and development, such as taking on new challenges at my current company.

My goal for 2023 is to continue to push myself as a developer and take advantage of every opportunity to grow and learn in my field.

Which trend(s) are you most excited about in 2023? Share your reason.

  1. The use of JavaScript frameworks: JavaScript frameworks, such as React and Angular, are widely used in front-end development and are likely to continue to be popular in the coming years. These frameworks allow developers to build highly interactive and responsive user interfaces and provide a range of tools and features to make development more efficient.

  2. The rise of mobile: As the use of mobile devices continues to grow, it's likely that front-end developers will need to focus more on building sites and applications that are optimized for mobile devices. This may involve designing for smaller screens and developing strategies for responsive design and performance optimization.

  3. The increasing use of artificial intelligence and machine learning: As artificial intelligence and machine learning become more prevalent in the tech industry, it's likely that front-end developers will need to become more familiar with these technologies and incorporate them into their work. This may involve building interfaces that make use of machine learning algorithms or integrating AI-powered features into web and mobile applications.

As I wrote about face and mask detection in the browser:

    Part 1

    Part 2

2022 had been crazy, especially in Tech - what with layoff, web3 fraud, and AI! Which trend are you most concerned about? What solutions can you think of? Be as brief or as detailed as you like.

One trend that may be of concern to some people is the increasing use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in various applications. While these technologies have the potential to bring many benefits, they also raise ethical concerns related to issues such as bias, privacy, and the displacement of human labor. To address these concerns, it may be necessary to develop and implement ethical guidelines and regulations for the use of AI and machine learning.

Another trend is layoffs. There are a lot of employees who were layoff at this year.

I can suggest a few things that employees can do to try to avoid being laid off:

  • Stay up to date with your skills and knowledge: Make sure you are proficient in your job and are able to take on new tasks or responsibilities if needed. This can make you more valuable to your employer and increase your chances of being kept on during times of layoffs.

  • Build strong relationships with your coworkers and superiors: Having a good relationship with your coworkers and superiors can make you a more valuable member of the team and increase the likelihood that you will be kept on during layoffs.

  • Volunteer for additional projects or responsibilities: Showing initiative and a willingness to take on extra work can make you more valuable to your employer and increase your chances of being kept on during layoffs.

  • Stay informed about the company's financial health: If you are aware of any potential financial challenges facing the company, you may be able to take steps to protect yourself, such as looking for other job opportunities following the points above.

  • Negotiating a severance package: If you are concerned about the possibility of being laid off, you may want to negotiate a severance package with your employer. This can provide you with financial support and other benefits in the event that you are laid off.

There is no surefire way to completely avoid the possibility of being laid off. However, by taking proactive steps and staying informed, you can increase your chances of being kept on during times of layoffs.

Share your biggest success so far and/or your biggest failure so far.

My biggest success for that year is that I relocated to the USA and found a dream job.

We would love your feedback on HackerNoon as a tech publication! How has your experience been with us?

HackerNood it’s really cool platform for publications about Tech and digital culture. There are a lot of high-quality content and thought-provoking articles.

I'm proud that I part of that community.

Any words of wisdom you’d like to share with us?

All my articles; they are a part of my day-to-day work and life. I have a lot of themes to cover, but not all of them I can share and it takes a long time to write an article (20h on average) to research information, prepare code examples, and sometimes refactor and simplify code :)
