We’re Using Touch ID To Increase Security In The ELIX App📱🔒 + Our New Activity Feed And Ledger…

Welcome to this round of ELIX updates! Over the past week, we’ve been busy improving our app and getting ready for our app launch. Keep reading to find out about exciting details and new features we’ve been working on.

Beta

If you haven’t already, get the Beta of the ELIX app by signing up here. We now have over 1,300 Beta testers signed up. In the next build, we’ll add another set of testers. We’re releasing the Beta in the order of signups… so be sure to grab a spot. The build with the Activity Page and Ledger is being submitted today. As soon as it’s approved, we’ll release it for our community to test.

Creator Portal

We’re working on adding new creators to Boost, our crowdfunding platform. You can become an early creator by signing up here. If you need ideas for Boost, think about projects for crypto podcasts, wallets, games, smart contract development, crypto summaries, or even customized accessories.

Video Demo

Here’s a video demo showing the new Activity Feed, Ledger and Social Links sections of the app. After the video, we describe each new feature in detail.

Activity Feed

Our new Activity Feed shows recent transaction activity, recent pledges, and general information about projects. It’s the perfect way to stay updated on what’s going on in the app. We plan to link the Activity page to push notifications later on. We also hope people love the custom refresh gif incorporated into the crowdfunding page. It’s a surprise from our designers.

Ledger

We’ve incorporated the Ledger into the app! Now, you can use the ledger to request tokens and get detailed information on when you need to send tokens back to your contacts.

The design team Josep & Rosello is also working on updated designs for the ledger as well. We’ll phase this feature into the upcoming app store version once it’s been thoroughly tested in the beta version.

Optional Touch ID Verification

We’ve also added optional Touch ID for increased in-app security. When sending a first transaction, users can choose to require Touch ID to access the transaction flow. This should increase security in the app and prevent even stolen, unlocked phones from having ether or tokens taken. Josep & Rosello are working on an introductory workflow to let the user choose whether they wish to use Touch ID — the custom popup they’re designing should inform the user of the added security benefits of protecting their wallet.

We’ve added a list of social links to the More page. This should help people stay updated on everything ELIX. Here what the new page looks like:
