Too Long; Didn't Read

Microservices are today the development standard for any large products, writes Andrew Keen. Keen: Deploying dozens of small services involves much higher overhead than delivering a monolith. Microservices allow us to structure our systems in the same way that we structure our teams, sharing responsibilities among team embers and giving them the freedom to own their work. This leads to incredible levels of flexibility, responsiveness, and efficiency, but at the same time comes with huge operating costs in terms of support. Keen says microservices are here to stay because they map better to the software landscape of software.
